BoJack Horseman: Hooray! Todd Episode! (2017)
Horray Aaron Paul! And Horray for Todd!
I've always loved Aaron Paul as Jesse from Breaking Bad and finding out he was in Bojack Horsman was a plus. The writers manage to make Todd such a comedic and loving character, and this episode was the payoff we wanted for Todd. For four seasons we have seen Todd facing something that left audience wondering and in this episode they finally brought it to light in a compelling, memorable and enjoyable Todd episode. It starts with a lion talking about how heroic and loyal Todd has been and, of course, we get a ridiculous Todd moment about him trying to open the door for an hour. The lion says how he hopes Todd can do something for himself and at the end of the episode Todd does that. The development of Todd is great and it always makes the audience want to root for him. Like when he wants space from Bojack, who he knows has constantly not considered his feelings. Sorry, Bojack.
This was one of my favorites.
Daredevil: Karen (2018)
I'm glad most people have brains
I too thought Karen was annoying. She's stubborn most times but this episode gives you a god damn good reason to like Karen. Simply because she is like Matt, she's alone in the world. And this episode from beginning to end was just incredible. The ending shot. They needed each other more than ever. She is the most flawed character because she is suffering as well and this intriguing backstory gave us all the answers. Rewatch that scene when she called her dad and tell me you don't feel something for her. The writers should keep this up. Season 3 is so damn good.
Smallville: Onyx (2005)
THIS EPISODE MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM
That scene where the evil copy of Lex Luthor fences with his dad. How the real Lex Luthor before hand wanted to do something good for his father and just to have the bad Lex Luthor ruin what could potentially be a good relationship between father and son. And how the evil Lex just cut the face of his father. Lionel was so angry and you saw the part of him that he's been wanting to get rid of since he has changed. The performance of both actors were just too good, and seeing Lionel so frustrated, confused and angry made me want to scream. Evil Lex mocked his father the way he treated him in the early days. That scene was just too good. Everything turns out bad for Lex when it comes to the relationships with others.
WHEN LEX CONFRONTS CLARK AFTER HE FIGURES OUT ABOUT HIS POWERS. Lex literally punches the crap out Clark and he remains on top like the badass he was always meant to be. A mortal overpowering a god-like figure. He shoots Clark's father in the knee and tells him that he was right all along and that he is the villian of the story. Wow. Just wow. I'm writing this as I'm watching the episode. My second time rewatching Smallville and wow this episode is literally one of the best.
And how evil Lex screams at himself that he gives his life meaning. For real whoever wrote this good job you tackled this amazingly. You made one of the greatest villians even more great. Damn i love this episode.
The Path: Blood Moon (2018)
If Anything Just Watch It For Hugh Dancy's Performance
I rarely write reviews but Hugh Dancy's performance in this episode made my eyes bawl out with tears. A fantastic performance and phenonemal character development. It's surprising to say because I expected Aaron Paul to be much better in performance. I feel like Dancy overtops Aaron Paul which may be biased because I love the character of Cal and the audience is always left wondering if he will flip out or try his hardest to better himself. Trying to make this spoiler free, his scene with Michelle M. was just the best performance I've seen from an actor in a while. That is why I wrote this review. Overall the episode has good points such as Hawk convincing the people about their doubts of the movement. But I am struggling to see where the movement goes next or where Eddie's intentions lie. Are we going to see more of Eddie's visions or witness some magic? All we know is that the movement revealed the exploited lies, but it still feels unjustified and I wanted to see how people felt about this. If it weren't for Hugh Dancy I would just be like 'that's it?'
