Mamma Mia! (2008)

Good Movie overall, Pierce Brosnan can't sing but oh well
22 July 2008
Well this movie overall wasn't bad. The cast was overall very good and there were parts that made me laugh and want to sing.

Pros: Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, and just about everyone else that is part of the main cast have a good voice and can sing and pull it off.

Cons: Pierce Brosnan can not sing at all! The movie is filled with funny parts, colorful scenes to go with the musical numbers throughout the film, and great costumes. The movie is a great movie for people to go to with your family, friends or just a movie that you want to go to because you have nothing better to do. If you like the play then I promise you that you will enjoy this film. Of course some of the musical numbers in the play are missing in the movie. But that is the same for any movie adaption of a play. Good Movie!

Iron Man (2008)

Best Movie to be release so far in 2008
2 May 2008
I am currently an employee at a movie theatre right now and let me tell you with the acception of a select few films this year most of the movies that have come out this year have sucked. Iron Man came along wow! This movie is tech-no and action filled, with a little bit of a love story on the side going on. I loved this movie and I would recommend this movie to anyone is into action or just wants to see a new movie. This movie has left the spider man movies in the dust. All I have to say is watch The Incredible Hulk, because Iron Man just may be the biggest movie of 2008! Don't forget to stay after the credits there is a scene after wards that is a must see

Great Movie With Twists You'll Never See Coming!
23 February 2008
I saw the previews for this movie and was really interested in it and was really excited to see it. Before I went to go watch it I read the comments from here to see what people had to say and wasn't too excited anymore. But still none the less I went and saw and still I loved it! All of the actors do a great job portraying their characters and everything in the end all fits together. Twists in the plot through out the movie happen that you never could have never predicted or saw coming.

And yes it does get a little annoying with the movie physically stopping and then rewinding back to the exact same time that day five times but that is kind of the plot of the whole movie. 8 strangers and 8 different vantage points kind of means that you have to go back and see how each of those people witnessed it and what they experienced.

All and all its a great movie with suspense, drama, and most importantly ACTION!

Great!
23 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Well when I went and saw this movie it started out really corny and kind of dumb, but as it went on it got better and it ended up to be one of the best movies of the summer! The characters were matched up well with the actors selected to play them, and the storyline was fairly close to the one in the play. it was colorful, funny, and made you want to get up in dance right in the middle of the theater. However, there were some details that were left out in the movie that seemed really important in the play. For example Tracy never goes to jail and gets rescued by Link. But I guess things like that are what make the movie more unique from the play itself. This is going to do very well

By far the best
11 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix was by far the best of the Harry Potter movies made. The characters are very well developed, you almost feel as though over the years you have watched the young stars grow up. The special effects is great, and all new characters are portrayed greatly. Imelda Stauton does a great job as Dolores Umbridge. Throughout the whole movie I was looking forward to the part when she gets kicked out of Hogwarts, which means she played the character very well. The only bad thing that I can say about the movie is this: the major characters that had a very big part in previous films were not as big in this one. For example Professor McGonagal only appeared like three scenes. Other then that this movie is good and Harry Potter fans will not be disappointed.

Surprisingly......Pretty Good
3 June 2007
I work at a movie theater and I was told by some people that it was OK and and told by others that it was really bad. I decided to one day come and see it and I really liked it. I wasn't expecting a movie as good as this one. Sure like any sequel's case it isn't as good as the first one, but come on it wasn't terrible. The characters were good and the plot was exciting.

However I do not like how this film has spoofed logos of modern companies (ie Ye Olde Footlocker) and the Hooters. I do not particularly for those parts of these films. I guess now they are making another one but i don't know if they will after getting such a negative response from people. I do think that after the fourth one (if there is one) that they should end it.

Over all not bad at all

Great Movie!
5 February 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is great! Some people say that its a bad movie because the parts that are supposed to be scary aren't. They aren't supposed to be scary they're supposed to be funny! And some say the actors aren't good at being witches because they're not scary either, again not supposed to be. Winnie (Midler), Mary (Najimy) and Sarah (Parker) are supposed to be villains that make people laugh not frighten people.

The three witches themselves are so well developed. Winnie is the leader, who is seriously evil, and wants to steal the lives of children to redeem her own.

Mary is the suck up of the three: She is always trying to please Winnie and make sure that Sarah doesn't ruin Winnie's happiness. She is always making sure that Winnie is please with herself and whenever she is upset, she offers Winne to allow her to hit her to see if that will make her feel better.

And finally the youngest, ditsy, spider-eating Sister Sarah. She is always getting herself side tracked. In the party when she is supposed to be looking for Max, Allison, and Danni, Winnie catches her making out with one of the boys at the party. She never has a clue and is always caught wondering what is going on the whole time, when she is turned young at the beginning her first words are "Oh boys will love me!" So in the long run this movie in my opinion will always be a Halloween classic. All the Halloween movies are either too scary, too corny, or too gory. During the Halloween season this movie is one of few movies that you'll see on TV (Besides the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown..) that doesn't involve blood and gore in it.

"Stupid Movie" is more like it
5 February 2007
This was by far one of the dumbest movies ever made. When I went and saw it people started to leave 20 minutes in because of how bad it was, and it wasn't all at once more people left. I'm surprised that I wasn't one of them. This movie spoofs: The Chronicles of Narnia, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (with Johnny Depp), Pirates of the Caribbean, The DaVinci Code, and the X-men series, and Snakes on a Plane. This movie has a plot at the very beginning and even gets a few laughs out of people, but ten minutes in the plot starts to fade and become too complicated and the jokes are used so many times that they're not funny anymore. How many times can you laugh at Lucy saying exactly what Susan said, or Peter drawing stick figures by peeing in the snow. I think after seeing this I think that its finally time to stop with the spoof movies. they were funny at first and everyone loved them but there's not a lot of movies that are stupid, scary, or funny enough to scare. So just leave the good movies that come out as they are don't make stupid movies about good movies to try to either make them funny or stupid.

Use the escape Claus to exit the theater
15 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the first one when I was about five I loved it. I would sometimes even watch it in the middle of the summer. Then the second one came out eight years later and I loved that one too. And then two weeks ago the Santa Claus three came out and wow was I disappointed. I saw the trailers on TV and in other movie theaters and I was so excited to see it and was really disappointed. The storyline was not followed and was often caught off guard. The trailers were set out for the whole movie to be about Tim Allen to figure out a way to become Santa Claus again. Ummm....wrong. He isn't Santa for a grand total of approximately 20 minutes, and then all the sudden he is Santa again. Don't get me wrong, this movie is great for little kids but not for fans of the first two Santa Claus movies.

**Spoiler** Bernard does not appear as the head elf anymore like he did in the first two. Curtis takes his place

Scotts son Charlie is only in the very beginning and in the very end and has only ten lines. But you do get to see a lot of Scott's niece Lucy, and Laura and Neil.

Oh yea say hello to the in-laws!

Sky High (2005)

The Previews made it look stupid but the Movie was Great
8 January 2006
I thought that Sky High was going to be a very stupid movie because the previews made it look stupid. It looked like it was a movie that would be funny for just little kids. This movie was a great movie for the whole family. The fighting scenes aren't too violent and there isn't really any bad language in it. This is one of those movies where there is no swearing, crude humor, or any relations what so ever to sex. And thats what I like about this movie.

Another great thing about this movie is all the characters in the movie have completely different powers, and no two are like. For example Layla can grow plants,Penny can clone herself, Lash can stretch really far and so on and so fourth.

But most of all this movie follows a story plot that was fun, exciting and sometimes you can relate too, and has a "shocking" ending. So if you want to watch a movie thats great for all ages then I recommend that you give Sky High a try.

I loved this Movie
15 November 2005
Well what can I say about the legend of Zorro other than the fact that it was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. The acting was great, and it kept you on the edge of your seat and wondering what was going to happen next. It was packed action a long with some good humor. I personally thought that it wasn't going to be a good movie because I thought that were going to be some sex scenes in it and to my surprise there was none. The best new cast member in this story is the son. He really cares for his parents and the ones he loves and will do anything to defend them and to keep them safe. I really liked Catherine Zetta Jones' character. She is so beautiful and plays her role with such passion. This is a good movie for anyone who likes a movie with action, humor and a little bit of romance. I am definitely buying this movie on DVD when it comes out.

The Exorcist (1973)

disgusting
29 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Okay why does everyone think that this stupid movie is a classic. THere is no point what so ever to this movie at all. It is about a girl who goes from a nice, sweet person to this awful looking murderous monster. I particularly feel bad for Linda Blair considering the bad reputation this movie gave her. A quote from her was " When I was young and would meet someone they would generally seem to be afraid of me. They couldn't separate me from the monster I became in the movie. You wouldn't believe how many people have asked me to spill my head around". I thought that this movie was scary, but the special effects didn't convince me enough to think that Linda Blair could actually make her head spin. I saw the DVD where there were extra scenes, including the famous spider walk where Linda Blair walks down the stairs in a back bend. This was one of the most disgusting things I ever saw. And to top it off the second Exorcist movie was even worse than the first. But I must say if you are a thrill seeker, wanting to see a movie that will get a few jumps out of you, then what the heck watch it. But if you are a person with a weak stomach I recommend that you do not see this movie.

Taxi
24 April 2005
First off, some one said that a lot of people hate Jimmy Fallon. I have one question for you? What planet ar you from? Jimmy Fallon is an awesome actor, he is one of the best Taxi was a very good movie. There were some parts that were stupid but overall it was hilarious. Queen Latifah's character was a reckless taxicab driver who helps Andy Washburn (Jimmy Fallon) catch a group offemale Brazillian bank robbers. I think that Jimmy Fallon is a great actor, I have not clue why people say that he is not a very good actor, and that his career will not last long. I have to disagree with that because Jimmy Fallon is an awesome actor who makes movies that he is in funny, and enjoyable. Queen Latifah was also very good in this movie. I think that she played this character just as well as she played the character Charlene in Bringing Down the House. If you are looking for a movie with laughs and with a couple action scenes then I would recommend this movie. The only thing that I do not like about this movie is the character Marta. I really think that she is a character that the movie could have done with out. Y y'all hatin Jimmy?

power rangers
14 March 2005
I disagree with the comment about about it being most awful and reticule's show of all time. The Mighty Morphin power rangers was a great show. THis show is a great example of good TV shows used to be and good stories to go with it. Now most of the shows today are about gay people, and its ridiculous. You cant turn on the TV and not here anything that isn't sex related. Also I feel that this show was also a show that was fun to watch and that the same appropriate for children. Rita Repulsa was a great character she is one of the best super villains of all time. And I think the ending to that part of the show was great. I think taking Rita and Lord Zedd and turning them into good humans was a really good move. I think it shows that no matter how bad someone is, they always have some good in them.
