I gave this 3 stars as it was watchable...until the last 20 minutes were so cringe alongside the acting being Z list embarrassment I had to change my rating to 2 stars.

Words can't explain how ridiculously embarrassing the last 20 mins are though, it's like any acting skills were all used up prior and some person who had never acted in their life was thrown in.

Shame as the plot could have been done well if they actually tried. There's alot you can do with phycological films like this, but they had no idea what route they wanted to go with and it really does show as it's just a Mish mash and all over.

Can anyone tell me what I just watched?

I loved the plot, well the thought of the plot, but am I missing something? I'm certainly not stupid, but the last half of the movie left me more confused than ever.

This one of my top 3 most laughable, embarrassing horrors and I've watched probably nearly all of them.

The acting was like watching a soap opera, maybe even more cheesy? Everything was just full of cringe... At one point I thought maybe I was watching scary movie or scream.

Big yikes, wouldn't bother.

Play or Die (2019)

Not great, by any stretch but watchable if you've run out of other options. I don't feel like i wasted my time. I'll go that far.

No where near as good as any of the other escape room type movies.

I thought this was going to be pretty good with how the first half of the movie was, after that it just got boring. I ended up turning it off 27 mins from the end as it was a yawn fest.

I found this movie super surprising, and way too sad. Usually i don't like sadness in my horrors/thrillers but you really don't see or know what's coming here.

Certainly worth a watch.

Abandoned (VI) (2015)

Good because it's true.

I loved this because it was based on true events. Thus you can't ask for too much drama, or action if it never happened, always worth a watch.

If this was just a movie on it's own, it would have been boring, and slow, but luckily it wasn't.

Nine Dead (2009)

I really like the idea of this movie, 9 strangers locked in a room have to try and figure out what tiny thing links them all together- they have 10 minutes before the first person dies, and 10 more before the next until there are none left.

The downsides here are the acting, it wasn't the worst acting I've seen, but it wasn't good by any stretch.

My main confusion is once the masked man comes in, he whispers to each person before he shoots them what their part in the situation was, he then gives me a good 5 seconds before they die so why don't they even quickly shout what their part was to try help the ones left?

The end made no sense and was laughable.

Pet (I) (2016)

I'll start off with the negatives, i thought more could have been done with the girl in the cage, although i do see where they were going with it, i just feel it could have been a little more.

The positives, this isn't your usual girl stuck in cage movie. Of course there are a couple similarities, as there always is, but the over all premise of the movie was good. Won't give too much away though.

My favourite part is the ending. The fact we see her come back, the guy in the cage, it's obviously been some time as the guy we left was missing one finger. Now, hes got two fingers missing, blind in both eyes, a face that has either been scolded, or covered in acid, amongst other things. We find out that she has essentially been torturing/mutating him, to make sure she doesn't kill in her usual life, and he lets her, because he loves her.

Couple of plot holes, but nothing that really bothers me.

Dead End (I) (2003)

This is the second time I've watched this, the first time was in 2003and for some reason I had this film in my head the whole time. Sadly, the second time around it wasn't anywhere near as good as it was 'back then'. Probably because i was a lot younger.

There's some humour, not my kind of humour, but it's there.

I love the premise, the never ending road, the 'time loop' time movies and such. Worth a watch if you've never seen this before.

After reading a lot of other reviews explaining, i see where they were trying to come from, but half of the story made little to no sense, and i don't know.

I would have loved this no matter what to be fair as i am a huge fan of all the actors, and the franchise in general but this wasn't a let down. I don't think it was close to as good as the first, but still a decent zombie film i would watch again.

The Haunting of Hill House (2018)

After finishing this series i am at a loss for words! i don't think anything i type could explain how ridiculously well-made this is.

This is far from your average boring ghost story, that i actually really dislike. The haunting of hill house is on a complete different level, one that i don't personally think has been found or indeed made before.

I won't give spoilers away, as there would be a lot of them but everything in this series is well done. Well acted, well written, in fact as close to perfect as could be.

It is also so complex, i would say complicated but i guess that depends on your mind set and mental ability as this series screens 7 different view points, stories, people, time lines, up down back forth round and round, the present, past, and future.

If you could get your mind around that i would give it a watch, but pay attention!

Room (I) (2015)

Before i started watching this, i was expecting something more along the lines or a thriller or a horror, but man i wasn't disappointed when i was wrong about it.

This movie has a way of pulling on every heart string you have, and it's the first movie in such a long time that i have watched, that i have felt as if i was in the place of both the mother, and son. I was sitting on the edge of my sofa, willing them both on, may or may not have cried.

This is an exceptional work of art.

Swallow (I) (2019)

I have been desperate to watch this movie, and ultimately it was quite a let down for me. Maybe because i thought this would be something different to what it is, i can't be sure but i found most of this movie boring and i spent more than that waiting for something else to happen as there was quite a lot of hints and pokes that i thought would be leading up to something that never came.

This really wasn't too shabby at all. Good acting, and i generally liked the plot. The only downside is i think they could have easily done a lot more with this movie to have made it a whole lot better.

Wouldn't say this is a horror, but not a bad thriller by a long shot.

This has me interested from the get-go. I must admit I'm not usually a fan of these spooky bedroom type situations, but this is far from your bedroom goes bump in the night movie.

This could have been a little more intense, and in-depth, as far as story line goes, but the story that they have given you i think is well done, well acted and over all quite a good watch.

I wouldn't say this is a horror, at all, but it makes for a good thriller.

Freaks (2018)

This was better than i was anticipating, although I am not sure if that's because i was assuming this was more of a horror than the Genre it is, but none the less this is a mostly well acted, low (it seems) budget movie about a young girl who has 'powers'.

Her father tries to keep her in a single driven down home to protect her so she doesn't find out or learns how to use her powers. The story could have been a little more in-depth as for a 1:40 run time there wasn't too much happening and much more could have been done with the mum.

Over all, not bad at all.

Cruel Peter (2019)

I went into this with no hopes at all, i watched it because i quite frankly couldn't find anything else i hadn't seen. This movie is so god darn slow!

The start is eerie, they try and set a unsettling situation but the first scene with the little boy was quite cringe and if anything really bad acting! I'm not sure if the main male actor is just a terrible actor, or was meant to be played this way due to his interesting personality.

I had a flicker of excitement when he was forced into the coffin in hopes we wouldn't have to see him much again, which for a little while was pretty great.

I started to dislike this less after the start but after about 35 mins i decided to call it quits and find something else.

Over all incredibly boring, slow and not watch a watch.

The Night Clerk (2020)

This movie is focused on one young lad called Bart when has Asperger's and has an obsession with watching love camera footage of his overnight guests. He's a little qwirky, likeable but that's as far as the movie goes for me. Just not enough plot.

Fantasy Island (2020)

This movie came across as slightly cheesy, sex filled, yikes type of movie at the start but after a couple minutes you realise that it's absolutely not that. This movie is full of well known actors/actresses, I liked the script and the over all plot of the movie which is you can have one, and only one fantasy but the rule is you must see it out to the end, no matter what and that's where things get interesting.

There is a couple of good twists that I wasn't expecting, and at no point did I think I knew what was going to happen. I actually really enjoyed the whole movie but of course there could have been a couple things added to make it a 10/10 for me but I was more than happy with how this played out.

The Platform (2019)

This was brilliant, even if it was dubbed as I'm not usually a fan. If you're expecting lots of action and drama this isn't the mo or for you, it is much more subtle in its ways but it hits hard if you understand what's happening.

Creep (I) (2014)

Why? Why am I still watching this? That's exactly what I keep asking myself through the whole film.

Is this a $5 budget movie? Why was it even made in the first place? Who are these people that rated this over 1*?

This has to be the most pointless, boring, waste of money and time movie I have ever watched. The first 50 minutes where close to unbareable, and the last 30 where only slightly better but I can't help say this movie just had nothing to it.

Please don't bother.

Doctor Sleep (2019)

Enjoyable and worth a watch.

I wasn't expecting too much from Doctor sleep but I very much enjoyed this the whole way through. There were no points where I was bored, and the movie kept a decent pace the whole way without dragging the plot out.

A couple bits I didn't understand, but that's my own thought process more than anything, definitely worth a watch if you like the shining.

Girl on the Third Floor (2019)

I wouldn't watch it again, put it like that.

This movie is full of completely confussed things and the majority of the time I wasn't sure what was going on, or why from around the half way point anyway.

Why was there male sexual substances pouring from the walls and the shower? Couldn't they have thought of another colour goo? What's the guts and blood in the walls about? Why doesn't the house like straight men? WHAT ARE THE MARBLES FOR? One main question, why doesn't anyone tell the couple that their house is messed up instead of watching it all happen from across the road?

All quite baffling.

On the other hand I love the main actor which always helps.
