The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
Visual Beauty
I watched this with no knowledge of this world from previous movies, nor have I read the books. Maybe this helped me appreciate it and enjoy it for what it is - a visual beauty with charismatic, engaging characters, and an interesting story line. The visual maps before the change in location helped immerse me with this unusual world. I usually don't get sucked in right away with a series and I'll watch (or listen) while doing other things. I could not do that with this one. I had to WATCH it, so very beautiful, something a series hasn't done for me since this first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series! Bravo!
FBI: Pilot (2018)
Really?
Are there really any white supremacist groups in the US? Really? Not really. Overtired subject matter, that the majority of the US do not believe. If there were such groups I'm sure MSM would let us know all about it. Please just entertain without these new found unrealistic scenarios.
The Lost Symbol (2021)
Leave political views out of entertainment
I didn't get past the first minute and I knew the writer's intention. When political views are apparent this early in a series, I'm out. I want to be entertained, not having some subliminal message telling me the 1776 flag is comparable to the Nazi flag. Give me a break. You have one job. To entertain. Can we please get back to that? K. Thanks.
FBI: Never Trust a Stranger (2020)
Stop the "woke" politics.
I thought I would give this show a chance. I made it through the first minute and had to stop. I want to be entertained, not lectured that all white people are racist. Stop it already. Enough is enough, and it's tearing this country apart, which is probably the intention.
War of the Worlds (2019)
Deserves a higher rating
I gave this series a 10 in an attempt to bring the rating up. It's a solid 8. If you enjoy character driven drama, even if you're not a sci-fi fan, give this one a chance. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
The Affair: Episode #5.11 (2019)
This is the way to end a beloved series!
All other series take note, this is how to end! I feel completely satisfied with the people I have grown to love like family! Thank you to the creators, writers, actors, musicians, cinematographers, editors, producers and all staff from the last 5 years, its been a pleasure. I laughed and I cried, two emotions that go so well together. I will miss these characters, I truly will.
