Halloween Ends (2022)

Halloween is over😢

So I heard it was bad so waited til I could watch for free. I still payed with my time! Ahhhhhhh, so bad, beyond bad, shocked it got even a 5! Love you Jamie but why did you agree to it movie that is everything but Halloween?

It's such a simple recipe, teenagers, kids, on Halloween. Where are the pumpkins? Suspense of an unknown killer? All you need are decent actors doing normal things, living life with no worries.

Then you bring in the killer, little hints of a psycho and slowly kill them off in a setting we all live in!

Now they want to add twists and turns that are stupid and don't work, period!

Resurrection (2022)

A sad state

So I started the movie and then the main character was having sex and when they were done she asked"How is the wife". Couldn't continue past that. It was the flippant way she said it. She knows the guy is married yet still has no problem letting this guy cheat on his wife. Marriage used to mean something, staying true, loyal and honest used to mean something!. Why is IMBD making us write a full essay? People don't want to read a 600 word review. We should be able to make it short and get to the point. Our country is going to hell in a handbag which can be seen in the movies that are just crap!

Deadstream (2022)

New Generation Evil Dead

A fun ride! Definitely brought me back to the original crazy fun Evil Dead! Not sure if they meant to pay homage to Raimi but they definitely did! Would have given a 9 but while the ending made sense just not as awesome as the rest of the movie. Hard to top Bruce Campbell as Ash but this guy playing Shawn came pretty darn close! Dang, why so many characters IMBD? I feel like I have to write an essay. Anyways to the younger generation if you enjoyed this you gotta watch Evil Dead 1981 and Evil Dead 2 which was even more campy and over the top! To my fellow Generation Xer's, who might pass it up, check it out!

Disappointing!

Seemed interesting but at the end, a total waste of time. If you are going to slowly drag an audience through an entire movie at least tell them what the hell they just watched.

Martyrs (2008)

Torture porn?

To Theo Robertson, The Passion of the Christ while horrific was not torture porn as it actually happened. Jesus was a martyr and savior. The girls in this were tortured in the mind of a sick director but in life just actors. I've never been an over the top religious person, my dad always tells me I should go to church more. I went with him and mom over Christmas after just losing my best friend and Church actually made me feel better and full of hope. I truly believe that Jesus is coming back soon🙏🏻 This world has lost kindness and love as shown through dreadful art and tyrannical governments. All I can say is find God 🙏🏻💗

Copshop (2021)

Gerard and Louder carried this to a 9!

I pretty much love everything with Gerard, yes he's hot as hell but he's also an amazing actor! Louder held out and resisted til the almost bitter end but even she couldn't resist those eyes and smile! When Grillo shot him I thought if he doesn't come back, ugh. That put me on the edge but thank you Jesus it turned out as I hoped it would. Some people prefer it end crappy and that makes it art, nah, I prefer to jump and cheer! As I did! Huss was also great, full on belly laugh that I truly needed! I would love to see Louder and Butler on screen again. To those who didn't enjoy, probably dudes!

Back Roads (2018)

Hard to watch but not for the reasons of MCJenson

So one reviewer called it trash and all the characters trashy losers, I don't get that. Either she cut out early before becoming aware of why these poor abused kids were the way they were or she just a snob who looks down her nose at people who are not as fortunate as her. Director and actor Alex Pettyfor obviously wanted to show people the horror of child abuse and the spiderweb of messed up things created after the trauma. I felt he did an amazing job of showing this. There's not much worse than child abuse except for people who call them trash for the way they handle that trauma. My heart goes out to all of them as well as my prayers! Ty Alex Pettyfor!

This would seem to be about hippie liberalism but actually it's about what we are fighting about today that will cost the hippies, the religious, and all of us in between! Yes, our forefathers owned slaves, freed slaves owned slaves, people all over our world owned slaves, especially then! America saw this to be a bad thing and fought a war to free slaves! There are evil men all through out our history and we have to figure out today who are the evil ones. If just going by right vs wrong, I would say this family are Patriots, fighters for freedom! If we can be honest, total Trump supporters!🇺🇸💗🙏🏻

Superhost (2021)

Gillam and Crampton earned the 5 stars

I'm guessing the budget was spent on getting Barbara Crampton. Gillam was fun and the only entertaining thing in this film and the little bit of Crampton. Location, meh. The two leads, double meh. First of all, zero chemistry, of course how can a guy who looks barely 18 be in a love relationship with a chick who's probably pushing 40, probably why a hug after a proposal instead of a kiss, thank God cuz that would have been even more awkward!

Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer (2020)

Unseen footage, women's views but sadly political

As a woman I'm all for my own rights. I completely identify with Liz, I too fell for a charismatic man who I believed was my prince! Thank God he didn't do the horrific things Ted did, he only abused me but the hold he had on me sounds exactly like what Ted had on Liz. I appreciate so much the female view on Ted Bundy as obviously women were his target. My problem with this is the social justice stuff. We are all about to lose all our freedom in the name of social justice. We the people are caring and loving sadly too trusting of Government. We are allowing our Government to destroy all that is beautiful about America. Divide and conquer, it's working. We the people can save the world, we only need to unite🙏🏻💗🇺🇸

He's All That (2021)

I loved it! The kids were adorable and Lillard was icing on the cake

Ok, so I'm old and sure it wasn't amazing but I was entertained. The leads are adorable and the girl and guy who played the jerks I couldn't stand so it worked. Seeing the great Mathew Lillard for sure made it worth watching, especially when he danced! Yup, us old folks kinda rock!

The Hunt (2012)

Would be a 10 if not for Fanny

My dog's name is Fanny and it made me so happy to see another Fanny until it broke my heart. This movie is good but heartbreaking in so many ways, too many to count. I have to find something really happy to watch to stop the wrenching in my gut. It really is such a well done film but be prepared as it is very dark and very sad even if things get sorted out. It didn't save Fanny 😢

Riders of Justice (2020)

I just loved this film!! I would love anything with Mads Mikkelsen but this one is really special! Great cast! There was something endearing about every member! I have been longing for a movie that could make me feel every emotion and leave me feeling pure joy and this one did that!! Congrats to all involved, I truly didn't want it to end! I just loved every character and damn, I'm bummed it's over! To the great Mads Mikkelsen, dude.... you are amazing in everything! Nikolai Lie Kaas, you are new to me and I will be checking out your work as you were also amazing and completely adorable! I highly recommend all checking this one out!💗

Solos (2021)

Pretentious

I love the actors in many of their films but here it just felt like "look at me" I'm a great actor. It's basically drama school on screen. Fun if your in the class but for an audience, we just want to be entertained! Hollywood seriously needs to get out of politics and lectures and trying to show us what deep and caring people they are. I miss the great movies that showed the struggles of regular people and showing that they matter, a farmer, a simple mom fighting against big corporations, firefighters, soldiers and veterans, real people and yes, action and thrills, horror and sci-fi, comedy is greatly missed during our woke cancel culture! Hollywood, please lighten up and get back to entertaining! I miss the days when I was excited to watch the Oscars and see what everyone is wearing but now that Hollywood looks down on regular Americans who once adored them, why would we want to watch a bunch of self centered ungrateful actors use the stage to trash us!

Would have been great but to make the villains veterans? Very bad taste! When did Hollywood decide that veterans are bad people? RIP Ashli Babbitt and God bless all who have fought and died so Hollywood can be free and get rich while trashing our hero's!

Bullet Head (2017)

Meaningful, beautiful but torturing

To Lathe of Heaven, yes a movie for dog lovers but I wish you would have mentioned how difficult for sensitive dog lovers! I was looking for a fun action, this had a low rating but I never trust them so I check reviews from the people. Your review was enough to get me to watch. It was very well done and definitely meant to speak for all our special dogs who live unspeakable lives due to bad men and the message was portrayed beautifully but also heart wrenching, heartbreaking and I'm definitely not sleeping tonight. I haven't cried this much since Hooch and Marley! If you are a tough guy who doesn't care about the lives of animals definitely watch and I hope you learn something or that somewhere in life you develop a heart! For animal lovers, especially dog lovers the message is great and it's done so well but it's a hard watch, very! Now I'm off to watch Homeward Bound or Togo so I can feel some goodness and hopefully sleep tonight!💗🐶🙏🏻

So maybe not an 8 but a definite 7! Gotta make up for the 1 star who probably shouldn't have watched it in the first place! I will agree the lead looks a bit like Tom Green and he seems to be channeling Nicolas Cage. The female lead I hope to see more of. It's obviously not meant to be more than it is, a fun ride! I'm usually bummed I spent $5.99 on a flick while bored but I was pleasantly surprised!

I love a great thriller! It was great until he shoots the damn family dog!! I'm so done with Hollywood always stooping to kill the dog! It doesn't scare us or shock us as I'm sure is intended, it only breaks our hearts and honestly ruins the movie! Would be a 10! Please stop Hollywood!! Please!

I loved it!! I'm a chick who loves a good action flick and this was great!! I loved all the John Wick films but the first with the beagle puppy, ugh. I love a good revenge movie that really makes you root for the hero and despise the bad guys as it feels so good when they get what's coming! You didn't hate the villain in this as I did in the Wick movies but I'm still traumatized over the puppy! Thank you for no animal kills and instead giving us the cute kitty!

I love horror films, weird films and feel good too, pretty much anything done well. This was none of those. Maybe they were all tripping, directors and cast and thinking in that moment it was genius, no, and if they thought after sobering up that it was, well they are just idiots, just like anyone who thought this was! Every movie I watch I hope for a happy ending, this one, outside of the poor child locked in a closet probably also freaked out on LSD, the rest, I didn't want a happy ending at all, I literally wanted them all to die already so it would just end!

Anything for Jackson (2020)

Awesome til like Hereditary ruins it at the end

Invested a lot of time in this one and was truly loving it! Why did the movie maker, director, writer spend so much time doing some really cool stuff to just do absolutely nothing at the end!? Is Jackson in her belly, Satan himself? I don't want an artsy cop out leaving it to me to imagine my own ending, I watch movies to see a story told, can you please end the damn story!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
