Metalocalypse (2006–2013)

Brutal And Godlike
24 June 2007
Metalocalypse is one of the funniest shows on television today. It offers hilarious over exaggerations of people working in Metal. Each character has a distinct personality evident throughout the show. You really get to know these characters as if they were real. The overall art of the show is very different from most cartoons, and is interesting to watch. The way characters relate and react offers the most comedy, such as Toki's various misuses of sexual terms to mean common things. Your guaranteed to relate to at least one of the characters, and it makes them almost real. It's much more than joke after joke, the comedy is in the way it reflects the music industry, different types of people, and stereotypes of metalheads into a surprisingly insightful, but still brutal and funny show.

A Masterpiece Of Film
28 October 2006
Tim Burton's genius shows in every way with this fantastic film. The eerie yet fun loving mood he creates is wonderfully immersive, and is amazingly done. The stop motion animation for this movie is done so well, it flows just like CGI for the most part. The story, characters, and setting are all so real you feel like your there.

Jack Skellington is a spooky, lovable guy. He travels to Christmas town and tries to bring Christmas to Halloween, without really knowing the meaning of Christmas, thus making a disturbing combination of the two. He gets into a mess with a bug filled villain, tries to be Santa, and does other things that are great for Christmas or Halloween.

If you see one of Tim Burtons stop motion films, see this. It is a masterpiece of epic storytelling proportions.

Best.....Show.....Ever
14 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The dark humor of this show makes it more adult oriented, and the DVDs even have a parental warning sticker on them in some stores. It's kind of weird, seeing how this show was originally on Nick. The show's humor is usually focused around dark plots, or strange background happenings. The plots always have some form of sick humor, seeing how the creator is also the writer of "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" and "Bad Art Collection (A sick comic focused around not-funny happenings made funny by crude drawings). A lot of humor is only funny in the world it is in, such as humans falling for a giant whale as a disguise, or a child in the background of a scene eating a fly. The art style is dark and sick, humans are usually seen with large, nasty boils, and closed eyes, because of an overlapping forehead. The humor also comes from the character's mental state, most side characters are crazy and will scream things like 'The pigs are coming, meat lord is not pleased!" All in all, this may have been longer lived if it were on a different network, but it is the funniest and strangest show I have ever seen.

Kung Phooey! (2003)

Amazing Indie film!
31 May 2006
This movie will have you laughing. It will have you saying "I know what they mean. " It is a great parody of all kung fu flicks, young and old. It offers good pop culture jokes, and lots of Asian stereotype jokes (although these are acted out, and many TRY to be stereotypes. The cast is mainly Asian, so this is of course viewed as acceptable, as they are making fun of their own kind. ) The jokes range from cheap humor to actual in depth jokes. It's not crazy like Kung Pow. It has a main plot (a fairly good one at that) , and focuses on the character's personalities. The script is good, the actors are good too. The film is presented nicely, and this film has made Darell Fong one of my favorite directors.

Comedic Gold
14 January 2006
As a true Adam Sandler fan, I appreciated the movie. The music was catchy (I'm always singing Let It Out Davey) and he characters are spot on with comedy, a deformed dwarf with a heart of gold, a drunken bumbling moron (however, Sandler usually portrays this anyway), and a Chinese food waiter that eventually breaks down and sings bum biddy biddy bum bum for some reason....... Anyway, the writing was fresh with a great story and amazing one liners, as well as the music, definitely worth buying the soundtrack! The writing is solid, the animation is great, and the characters are laugh out loud funny, buy it or live in extreme agony.....

Violence Galore
15 November 2005
Violence, what else can i say. No story, no v-os. No nothing. Just clever ways for cute animals to die. That's hilarious in itself, but gets boring and repetitive. Imagine watching the same violent thing over and over again, funny at first, and you can NEVER take your eyes away, but sometimes, you'll just get bored. Happy Tree friends is great is your tree hugger girlfriend just broke up with you (DIE MOOSE DIE!) but if your in the mood for a real cartoon, check out Family guy. This is good to own for certain occasions however, like above. The series just needs a pick up though, like perhaps a....... maybe some voices? A real size cartoon with a plot. Happy Tree Friends and Friends on G4 just ain't cutting it anymore.

A funny movie, with some nice action sequences
15 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was funny. Not parody funny, it never made fun of itself, like say, a Kung Pow, but it manages to make you laugh on several occasions throughout the film. The story is rather captivating apposed to most other action- kung fu movies. The story is this, a man who wants to join the Axe Gang because he learns good guys always lose, well, joins the axe gang, only to find that good always wins. There are some funny characters, like an assassin who dresses like a woman because of years in jail, and a lady who screams to attack (Sindel anyone?) This is a funny movie, thats worth seeing by any comedy or kung fu fan.A must buy, or at least rent.

A great action movie
15 November 2005
Let's start with a bad comment, the movie's plot isn't gonna have you calling Mom. It's a kung fu flick, like any other, no character detail, no character development, just a basic idea, and fight after fight after fight. Now, a good one, the effects were great for the time, and the cool moves the characters pull off are some of the best ever. Each scene is made to an amazing degree, and the way the characters are taken from the game is flawless. Each character, although lacking in personality, has cool moves to fit their appearance/ background. This is definitely a flick for the action lover in all of us. 8/10. Oh, and, i deeply suggest seeing this movie.

Nice with funny humor
31 March 2005
I love this show. I love it a lot. I'm kept up to date on games, with humor thrown in. I love the profound humor and "gay games " section, which I find funny. Morgan and Adam are amazing hosts with great humor. Production values aren't high, but it's on my favorite channel, G4 Tech. It has reviews, previews, articles, and funny sections. another funny section is the "Shocked by Grad GrimGravy" which Adam dresses up as a crazy scientist and talks weird while reviewing. Or Morgan Von Vebb's Vebb of Destruction. It has great humor and geeks like me will be pleased. So, if you like games, check it out. If you don't, check it out anyway for the humor.

Man, This wasted my life and i expect my money back
31 March 2005
Lets make a movie about nothing. Yeah, thats a GREAT idea. Add in some hateful characters and....... GOLD. An idiot with a fro' and his eyes shut, no plot, and horrid acting make for a bad movie in my book. Sorry if I'm being hard on it, but it was really bad. Like, lets kill ourselves after watching this bad. I expect my 6 bucks from blockbuster back, really. I wish that he'd drive his "ride" while eating his "tots" into a hell hole and die there.

But, it wasn't ALL bad. It had a horse I think. Yay. But seriously, everyone around me loved it. I think the producers should give me my money back, but it's one man's opinion. I'm sad I had to sit through this. I will cry in a corner now.
