A Stunner

Stay with this. You will wonder where it is going. Acting, setting, dialogue are superb. But the final episode will leave you shaken. Ask yourself what is truth and do any of us want others to truly know truth.

Excellent Suspense, intriguing period piece

I have read the book and was impressed by the ability of producers to do justice not only to the book but also to representation of the period in which the story is placed. Detailed settings which accurately reflect the time as well as intriguing look at new sciences which challenged the established institutions. Well developed, complex characters. I found particularly striking the dramatic and detailed descriptions contrasting the fortunes of the New York elite and the poor, often depicted as immigrants.

I wish all who voted for Trump would watch this movie. Who are we and how much do we hide from others? The successful, the rich, the ones with opportunities too often forget what misery we may have caused. Once we know, would we change our behavior if given another chance? Or, would we simply move on if others did not see our sins? We all have responsibilities for those whose lives we touch - nevermind the broader mankind. Or, what have we become?
