Gone Girl (2014)
A captivating and suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat
The film's strength lies in its masterful storytelling and superb performances. Fincher's direction is flawless, and he masterfully builds tension and suspense throughout the film, leaving the audience guessing until the very end. Pike delivers a powerhouse performance as the enigmatic and complex Amy, and Affleck is equally impressive as the flawed and troubled Nick. The supporting cast, including Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry, also deliver solid performances that add depth and complexity to the story.
The film is visually stunning, with moody and atmospheric cinematography that perfectly captures the dark and twisted world of the story. The score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is haunting and unsettling, adding to the film's overall sense of unease.
Overall, Gone Girl is a riveting and unforgettable film that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It's a must-see for fans of psychological thrillers and anyone who appreciates great storytelling and superb filmmaking.
Jagten (2012)
Deep film to see the injustice of prejudices and reflect
Lucas, the protagonist, is a teacher in a tiny little village in Denmark where they all know each other. Lucas has just been abandoned by his wife, who took his son. Every day he takes Klara, his best friend's daughter, to the nursery where he works. There he is in permanent contact with small children. One day Klara accuses him of sexually abusing her.
It is a great film that introduces us to one of the most controversial topics: crimes of a sexual nature involving minors. In this case, the film focuses on the reaction of the prejudices and grudges that generate this type of accusations in a small community, where the protagonist is stigmatized without any other proof than the mere story of a girl, a story that spreads as hysteria and disturbs all those around the protagonist to the point of attacking him and his loved ones, without even giving rise to doubt.
Personally, this film gave me a great impression about the injustice that is generated by the mere prejudices, being that the reaction of the population gave me a lot of anger. A very deep adult film that I recommend 10/10.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
A great gem of the seventh art
It's a moving story, with a profound message that allows us to be aware of the injustices that are experienced in the penitentiary system, but also goes further, encompassing the development of human nature, of the struggle when one has the impression of that there is no hope, of the redemption of life after losing everything.
As other comments have already said, it is a film that should be recommended as an antidepressant by therapists, and that everyone should see more than once in their lives.
Die Brücke (1959)
It's a very deep movie to reflect on the cruelty of war
The plot is well done from the point where it allows us to enter the personal life of the protagonists, both sentimental, school and family, until they have to go to the front.
According to my personal opinion, it's like the continuation of the film "All quiet on the western front", based on the first world war, and implies that humanity hasn't learned anything after 2 world wars.
Putting young protagonists makes us ask: What is true immaturity? Is it defined by age or actions of extermination by superficial interests?
As other reviews have already said, this movie is not like "Saving private Ryan". Good scenes of action can be found, but not so massive and with thousands of soldiers in the midst of explosions.
Unlike many allied films, this film shows us that German citizens forced to go to war also had a human side.
Garage Olimpo (1999)
Very good but generalizes
I found it very good for denouncing impunity perpetrated by the task forces of the dictatorship (although distinct reminds me of "The Night of the Pencils"). But just give 8 and not 10 points because it puts all detainees as participants involved in leftist movements, when in fact very few who clung were so involved as to have "name for war". Have to look but in the fact that all but one Montoneros heads survived, same with the heads of ERP, etc. The fact that the "heavy" guerrillas was survive is a proof that they were grabbed "parsley" (sap). At least that's my opinion and this film in generalizing the subversive participation I supposed to do that "all detainees were involved to a greater or lesser extent", something that what I disagree.
