Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Fun
When I think of Ghostbusters I think of whacky fun, great one line jokes. Daft effects....fast action and terrifyingly funny which was what made it a hit!
It was a movie that was not afraid to make fun of its self.
This movie was slow start, bland atmosphere, very subdued lighting making the movie feel depressing, which is what it felt like all the way through!
There were no jokes, no poking fun, no slapstick no energy to keep you watching. It was a very serious movie and one that could not be called a comedy by any means!
The reboot movie before this with a gender role reversal. Starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones was 6 times more funny even though it flopped. It was like a SNL reunion with the original Busters making appearances!
This movie carries on from the original Ghostbusters but feels like an entirely different genre!
It's like those 1980s kids movies where they find something strange and people don't believe them until they accidentally unleash something!
All I can say it's a good drama thriller for kids but don't get excited that it does not follow the design of the old movie franchise!
Even the old original cast well three of them make an appearance and they do not look happy or make any jokes.. it's as if they're just there for the pay cheque and they never smile.
It shouldn't be labled Ghostbusters with the logo we know... it's not that type of film!
Slow Horses: Footprints (2023)
Epic! Fantastic episode!!!
Yes!
Oh my god!........
This is one action packet episode...,
Never seen a U. K. series as good and fast paced as this!
Gary Oldmans Jackson Lamb, shines through using his crazy comedic sarcastic one liners!
Ladin Kirwans 'Marcus Longbridge' and Aimee F-Edward's 'Shirley Dander, work really well as a duo with their banter at one and other, it gets better when they have to fight together to stay alive!
Their characters in this season has been more at the front!
Jack Lowdens 'River Cartwright' and Rosalind Eleazar's Louisa Guy characters again works the magic of the series, switching all characters and partners around does wonders and creates different tensions!
Just like Rodney Ho's and Jackson Lamb with Catherine Standish, these tensions are very clever and never exhaust the run of the series!
10 out of 10.
Ahsoka: Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord (2023)
Nice episode
In the grand scheme of things Thrawn's plan worked, but too many uncertainties!
Thrawn could have left much earlier if he had time on his side!
This episode did drag on a bit, but the action was good, I think everyone that knows this series up to now, knows it can't be resolved in 45 minutes!
Shin... underused thought she would do something, she didn't go back to Thrawn, just ended up with the raiders! Baylan... god knows what's on his mind!
Ezra we know he made it back now it's Hera's turn to take major point in bringing them back.
The point here now is not being stranded this sets up new presidents as a bridge for new connections!
They can take space whales back or it's up to Hera
To bring them back, steal the hyper ring spaceship!
Or the republic already has something similar!
Anyway it all sets up for a season 2, that is what is planned in stone by the writers, but up to the studio to act on it!
Ahsoka: Part Four: Fallen Jedi (2023)
More of this!
To everyone that thought Ahsoka fallen short of the series so far, they are mistaken!!!
This is one fantastic episode. By Dave Filoni....
It was well executed and well directed. So many speculations about Marrok. But we will never know what goes on in the head of Dave Filoni!.
As things go the story really does keep you on the edge of your seat!
Ahsoka and Sabine together in a fight against the coming darkness, good to see Sabine in her full armour and using it! And yes Sabine is 'not force sensitive'. The minute She put up her hand in the face of adversity, she tricked Shin with her wrist rockets!
I noticed a very Feudal Japanese influence in the fight scenes...very noticeable especially when Ahsoka fights Marrok!
To be honest to keep the continuity from the animation to use 'Lauren Mary Kim' would have served better because she was the live motion capture Stunt actress in the scenes against Maul, in the last three episodes of Clone Wars!
Hera was slightly under used in this episode but can't be helped as it was not pivotal to the episode, good to see Carson Teva back in the battle!
The fight scene with Ahsoka and Baylon was brutal and fantastic the fight choreography here was totally different to that of the fight against Marrok, it was more fluid more Chinese! But come to think of it Marrok was nothing!
I was disheartened to hear what Baylon said to Sabine about her family, seriously this can not be true????
They perished in the purge of Mandalor or blood of 1000 tears? When Baylon searched her feelings probably he's reading what she thinks has happened but not what actually happened? If that connects with Bo-Katan in the Mandalorian there could be good reason why Koska Reeves is with Bo and not Countess Ursa Wren?
Anyway I hope Ray Stevenson filmed all his scenes for season 1? He was a great actor!
Ahsoka: Part Three: Time to Fly (2023)
Fantastic episode!
A very interesting mixed bag of a episode!
The training of Sabine Wren as a padwan, I don't think she will be a Jedi, I think she has no force power!
As Kenobi, Yoda and Ahsoka said a energy field created by all living things, force surrounds us and binds the Galaxy together! I think those that are force sensitive can manipulate the force to their will, but those that are not can use that energy field in another way!
But I think Sabine is 'not' force sensitive, if she was it does not help the narrative of the story, I think she will try to follow the teachings of a Jedi, just like.
Chirrut Imwe in Rogue one, the blind freedom fighter with Andor! He may not be force sensitive but uses that energy with a bit of training to help his other senses!
The space battle was like watching a movie, Ahsoka pulls all the punches here and cuts a wing off a enemy fighter in space a bit like Rey in the sequels!
Wonderful direction from Steph Green again!
When At the end Baylon tells his men to hunt down, Ahsoka and Sabine, he knows full well that he's sending his mercenary men to a guaranteed death!
Knowing full well that Ahsoka will cut them down with ease! What is his plan?
Ahsoka (2023)
Ahsoka Tano....!!!
Dave & John knows how to please us!
Such a brilliant start to a series!
The sets are amazing as is the details!
This series is fantastic on its research of design from the old movies!
On "Home 1." The round conference room where Hera and Ahsoka discus the Key and the holographic projection is a perfect replica of the one where all the Rebels planned their attack on the Second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.
The story is not complicated and it keeps within the confines of the series, so it's easy to comprehend!
I notice a more oriental feel to the series! Even to see Ahsoka wearing Ninjutsu Tabi's on her feet...
The feel of the series is like watching a movie!
So now we have Sabine Wren in the series will we see her mum Countess Ursa or even Bo-Katan?
In the animation Countess Ursa was Like Bo-Katans second in command of the NiteOwls!
Also it was Sabine that gave Bo-Katan the DarkSaber!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 24: The Return (2023)
Absolutely Fantastic
I can't say much more than! A great episode!
So speechless and awe at how this part of the story ended on a very, very high note!
Great story, great action and sadness!
The Mandalorians or Mandalorian together are unstoppable! They are a warrior people and trained from birth to be like Greek Spartans! They totally annihilated the imperials! You can just see from the battles the Mandalorians have the edge!
Moff Gideon is one bad ass villain one of the best up there in the Star Wars universe! Giancarilo Esposito is a brilliant actor I can't say more!
Katee Sackhoff and Pedro Pascal.. are excellent with a story like this it keeps you on the edge of your seat!
R5 is up there with R2D2 and Chopper such a great droid!
The Mandalorian sky battle was excellent Bo-Katan with Dark Saber in hand!
10000% a great episode!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 23: The Spies (2023)
My second review on watching it again!
No doubt, this is one of the the better episodes of the whole series so far! There are a couple better but this is definitely up there with my top three choices!
Big reveals, new characters, but the plot is really showing it's true colours, one of the best and 'thé' most important as opposed to the future Mandalorians in the Star Wars Universe!
Unite the clans of all Mandalorians, try and rebuild the lives, rebuild a whole civilisation!
Spoilers- Alert.....!!!!
Love the scene that reminds me of the'i'm Sparticas' where they stand with Bo-Katan on her quest!
Biggest Mandalorian get together is live action Star Wars history!
So Bo-Katan did Surrender to Moff Gideon to save her people! But Gideon betrayed her and continued the massacre of her people!
Fight a enemy from within the planet!
This part I now understand! The belief that Mandalor was uninhabitable spread the rumours people will stay away! Thus allow the remains of the empire to create a secret base within the ruins!
Soooo.. it was Moff Gideons hide out all a long...?
Such a great episode I'm loving it!
Also of note it's like a ancient Greek heroes story with armour and all on a ship sailing the glass lands!
But like Jason and the argonauts with a Mandalorian touch! As the hordes of Mandalorians make their way off the exploding sail barge and into the caves, they look just like Greek Hoplite soldiers!
Grogu is like the Witch Medea of the Crew of heroes!
Couldn't count how many mando's there were but it was a lot of them, when they fled the exploding sail barge!
When you see the imperial commandos in jet packs as they begin their attack on the mando's at the great forge, you can see they are truly not in control of their jet packs as they fight! Unlike the Mandalorians who are far superior in flight and combat!
When Bo-Katan battles Moff-Gideon for the Dark Saber, Bo-Katan is clearly more combat efficient as you can see she landed three decapitating blows to Gideon's neck, if it wasn't for his beskar armour he would be dead already!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 22: Guns for Hire (2023)
Such a varied exciting episode!
As a filler it's was still enjoyable as ever!
Oh my god.... Jack Black in Star Wars!!!!!!!
Christopher Lloyd as the cameo and not what people thought he would be!
I thought this episode was about Din Djarin, as I thought Bo-Katan was going in search of other Mandalorians to bring them all together, I was wrong, it seems that Din Djarin is her travelling companion!
The part of the story was a bit weak but enjoyable watch, some light entertainment to add some juice to the story!
On arriving to Plazir-15, the view of the domes is where everybody thought was a Mandalor flash back but it wasn't. It was just a new independent world we haven't seen, but yes it is reminiscent of the dome city of Mandalor's. Sundari! I think gives us some idea what it could have looked like in real life!
This episode was more of a detective style episode!
The last part was brilliant with a interesting twist no one ever saw coming and it is very logical outcome!
Spoilers ahead!!!!!!! Spoilers ahead!!!!!!
Warning!!!!!!!!!! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
When Din and Bo finally get to meet up with a really large group of Mandalorians, note these are Bo-Katans... followers who deserted her!
She evoked the code to single combat, this term was last used when Sabine Wren challenged. Fenn Rau!
Fantastic fight with Axe Wolves for leadership!
SPOILERS THAT EVERYONE DIDNT SEE COMING AND ITS BIG! And correct on a technicality!!!!
Going back to "Mines of Mandalor". Din Djarin fought a spider like General Grievous like creature and lost ending up losing his Dark Saber on the floor being caged and being drained of his fluids!
Enter Bo-Katan, she defeated the Creature killing it in combat and Saving Din Djarin!
Technicality: the creature defeated Din Djarin so it is the owner of the Sabre!
Bo-Katan Enters and fights the creature killing it so now she is the owner officially now of the Dark Sabre!
Din Djarin Put this point forward and it was plausible to all Mandalorians who stood in witness to his words!
Now Bo Katan is officially the owner of the Dark Sabre though combat!
I bet people did not see that coming!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 21: The Pirate (2023)
Yes, yes!!!!!
This was a great episode!
It's very much has that western vibe again, a bit like the Magnificent 7, with Mandalorians!
Those in the know can feel the rise of what was the empire, but it never going to be the same empire!
When the Mandalorians speak to their audiences they hold the hammer this reminds me of something, I can't put my finger on it but I'm sure I've seen this form of conversing before?
Grogu had limited screen time in this one, that I felt was ok as it was something he could not get involved in!
Just loved the way both the Mandalorian Starship and The N1 Naboo star fighter came out of hyperspace just right at the planets outer atmosphere!
The episode again ended with Bo-Katan!
The Intern (2015)
Feel good movie!
I wasn't too sure about watching this movie, but I'm glad I watched it...
Rob De Niro, plays a elderly intern character that everybody loves to have around, no sinister motives or anything like that, just a very feel good guy you want to have around! It's a total opposite to Devil Wears Prada format... intern takes Anne Hathaway as the boss of a company she creates and it's ruining her private life as she's driven and committed, but she's not like Meryl Streep's character she starred in!
There are some hilarious moments! I'm not used to seeing DeNiro doing a film like this but he does it well!
It's a 1,000 time's opposite to all his hard man films!
Just noticed A.... A...Ron, actor Zack Pearlman, had to rack my brains where I remember him from.. Key&Peele. 'Substitute teacher!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 20: The Foundling (2023)
Fantastic episode
'The foundling' is a episode of two things, honour and control!
The honour on two fronts, first Grogu gets his mudhorn sigil baby breast plate signifying his first piece armour of becoming a Mandalorian foundling!
Secondly Bo-Katan gets the honour to lead a mission to save a foundling snatched by a raptor indigenous to the planet. Also this can be the first signs of her control by gaining the "children of the watches" trust!
This episode is very important as it tells us who saves Grogu from the Jedi temple, and it turns out to be Jar Jar Binks! Only joking, well kind of, the actor who played Jar Jar Binks, Ahmed Best plays the Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Who escapes with Grogu!
We find this out in a PTSD scene when Grogu remembers his past as he watches the Armourer bashing away at a piece of Beskar, creating sparks!
But how did the empire get hold of Grogu later?
As the Mandalorian mission lead by Bo-Katan in search of the young foundling, reaches the cliff top where they plan their attack and grab the kid!
Great effects but different to tell who was who in the aerial battle as the action was very fast paced and the characters were small to visually see!
But still they came out victorious and saved the kid!
Interesting point.on return they took three baby raptors from the nest on the cliff as foundlings so they can tame them, learn to ride them may be a foreshadowing riding the Mythosaur?
One question is maybe Bo-Katan knows who the Armourer is, because of all the people not even Din Djarin, she tells her privately that she has seen the Mythosaur! Why her? But the Armourer does not believe here!
Great episode directed by Karl Weathers, done a good job again!
Summary: Fast paced action, fantastic!!
Andor (2022)
Watch if you like a drama, but not if your a Star Wars fan.
When I saw rogue one, I loved it my kid loved it far superior to the three sequel trilogies, which just made no sense and just made Star Wars a bad nightmare!
The plot of Rogue One being the foundation which sets Star Wars Episode 4, New Hope was fantastic well placed characters and harks back to the the original 1977 movie.
With the introduction of Andor, series this set a new gritty series leading up to his passage to being a Rogue one hero!
The first episode was gritty raw bleak, slow... don't know what's going on feeling, I can forgive that as it's the first episode setting up characters, the second episode was just the same, the third episode was just the same and so on!
In fact you can take away the elements of any Star Wars universe from this series and it would make a good thriller! But the problem is that it is set in George Lucas' Star Wars Universe and that's why it's been very poorly received because it lacks that drive which makes Star Wars what it is!
Just say if a kid who has never seen StarWars before like New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, phantom menace, Revenge of the Sith... clone wars....etc, wants to know what the hype is all about and she/he make Andor the first watch into this Star Wars Universe will be put off and never bother to watch again!
This is why the Andor series has poor viewer figures but good ratings for story, it's just too slow lacks pace doesn't keep you on the edge of your seat, it's more like 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier..spy!
It makes you what to put fast forward on the remote to action scenes!
Luthen, Mon Mothma and Dedra are three characters which makes the series stand out!
Stellan's Luthen brings great intriguing and questions and he has a great spaceship!
Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma being Luthens Rebellion contact brings grace and warmth to the series when she appears and is 'the' only character that is actually linked to the Original Star Wars Uniniverse. Denise Gough as Dedra Meero as the imperial officer on the Andor case is more like a detective which in away is good, a officer of the evil imperial empire looking for criminals!
Diego Luna as Andor is great but he lacks purpose and is always running away, it should be about his exploits but all we see him do is not much!
It's his show but much of the weight is in Luthen and Mon. I think!
The show is very slow not going anywhere lacks that Star Wars feel which is why it looses its fan base!
I gave it 7 out of ten because the characters are good, good story build up to what we know, but very, very boring very very slow! Becomes uninteresting after a while.. it's unlike other Star Wars shows where you can watch it again and again, but with Andor watch it once is enough and forget about it!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 19: The Convert (2023)
Fantastic episode once again!
Once again a very different episode, to keep the balance of the series in a momentum and not run out of steam too quickly and it works!
Bo-Katan asks Din Djarin twice if he saw anything in the living waters of Mandalor, this could give us some insight to Bo-Katans future plans with the Mythosaur!
The air battle scene with Bo-Katans Mandalorian Gauntlet Starfighter and the imperial Tie fighters was fantastic, the way the wings can turn backwards makes this large ship very manoeuvrable!
The 'cut-away' story of Doctor Pershing on Coruscant was a refreshing change. Going through a rehabilitation program, in away for us viewers we know he does not need it, as he is not a evil villain, he has no affiliation to any side he just loves his work, one should remember he was held at gunpoint by the Imperial pilots on the Lambda Shuttle when it was captured by Cara Dune and BobaFett, plus he showed them the lay out of Moff Gideon's imperial cruise ship and how the dark troopers power up time!
But. Elia Kane, imperial comms officer but also a new republic spy all a long, could be a triple agent!
She worked for the empire but was really a rebel plant in order to get info out of Pershing?
She's twisting the character of being such a unlikable character, trying to wipe Pershings memories of the projects secretly.. who is she really working for?
The narrative shifts back to Din and Bo as they go into hiding when the Imperial rebels destroy Bo-Katans ancestral castle and she is really pissed off!
She meets for the first time all the members Mandalorian 'sect' that Din Djarin belongs to!
For the very first time in live action 'now' canon we hear the name of her break away terrorist organization being called out 'Nite Owl' by Paz Vizsla
This was a all female unit of the Terrorist organization of Pre-Vizsla Death Watch led by Bo-Katan and her second in command Countess Ursa Wren!
Now that Din Djarin is redeemed of his transgression for taking off his helmet infront of other living beings, it turns out that Bo-Katan is redeemed by being of Royal Creed which is different to from Din who is a foundling I guess? But as long as she does not take off her helmet in their presence, as she admitted she does not follow the extreme tradition of the old way!
But as the series goes on, I can see that Pedro will take off his helmet and follow Bo-Katans path as it looks inevitable, having on the helmet all the time means he doesn't need to be under it and do voice overs! He has argued about this point in the past!
Just like the Paz Vizsla character is voiced by Jon Favreau and a stunt performer is in the costume!
I'm sure Pedro Pascal would like the helmet off because he's a actor on 'coat hanger!'
But overall a brilliant episode that creates new webs of interest!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 18: The Mines of Mandalore (2023)
What a Treat one of the best Episodes
This Episode is more of a Bo-Katan action Episode!
From Season 2 the Heiress, Bo Katan has actually saved Din Djarin life three times. And twice he's asked for her help.
Watching this episode she feels tired of his presence but yet again comes to help him out.
She's a really good fighter, in this episode very, fast with her gun.
She talks of the Mandalorian culture where once Jedi and her kind got along, but mentions of the squabbles of Mandalorian infighting where she feels she's had enough, which makes me feel that she will not fight him for the Dark Sabre as she's accepted her future.
She also talks of her father but not of her older sister Duchess Satine who came to rule Mandalor before she was murdered by Darth Maul in front of her love interest Jedi ObiWan Kenobi.
In this Episode we see Bo-Katan for the first time in her 'gauntlet' Mando star ship, we see it in flight for the first time and we see how it lands, since Star Wars Clone Wars!
We see for the first time Bo-Katan wield the Dark Sabre again, the last time she had it was in Star Wars Rebels!
For the first time ever we actually what should be a Mythosaur, Bo-Katan spots it when she saves Din Djarin again from the Waters of Mandalor!
No that she has seen it, if she gets to ride it she will be redeemed and rightly rule Mandalor which they find is now not cursed!
One great episode where the enemy is the unknown and like Din she has contradicted herself by not taking the Dark Saber through custom which is the same as Din not taking his helmet off!
Copshop (2021)
Enjoyable wacky Movie
I came across this movie by complete accident on Youtube "shorts" where some one posted the shoot out scene in a 2 minute clip and everybody commented on it!
But it i had to scroll through over 150 comments to find the name of the film, because all they talked about was the shoot out between officer Young and Lamb in the holding area, a single action six shower against a auto sub machine gun!
The story was very interesting, in that you really don't know who the good or bad guys are at first!
Alexis Louder, Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo really pushed the limits in this movie.
I think Grillo is a very versatile actor after seeing him in this movie and also Lamborghini, Cpt America Winter Soldier and Skylines.
Alexis Louder was brilliant as well, she really kicked ass! Gerard Butler was rather underused, but he created a atmosphere which made the scene on who to trust that more interesting!
Be interesting if they ever make a sequel, which i don't think they will!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Entombed (2023)
Very interesting episode
It looks like the BadBatch series has run out of steam!
But then I could be very wrong, these couple of episodes could be a filler to something bigger later!
It's like watching a Indiana Jones story and Lara Croft with a mix of Star Wars.!
Still entertaining, in this story could be creating a new world and staring to put some legends to canon maybe!
A story central to the very old and ancient civilisation, a time before the. Jedi, or even older as they said!
I like where this is going in terms of looking at things in a new direction whilst not forgetting who the characters are and their purposes!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch: The Solitary Clone (2023)
Interesting Episode
This Episode has indeed open some eyes to Characters! Especially CrossHair and Commander Cody!
It's obvious that CrossHair mind may be his own but he's like a psychopath lacking emotion like a robot destined to do his job at following orders!
Now Commander Cody is another story a clone starting to question why he had to do what he did and questions everything!
He's having doubts...but then how can he he did what must be done according to his inhibitor chip!
Question does the chips data decay?
As Cody said many Clones are questioning what they did to the Jedi?
Spoiler:- Commander Cody starts to question orders of the empire and goes AWOL!
But the question is if he sees a Jedi will his chip make him kill them!
The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
Fascinating
Such a fascinating movie, it kept me glued to the screen!
Christian Bale & Harry Melling put on such a brilliant performance of outstanding quality.
Harry spoke more in a literal way just like poetry, but he was understandable how he expressed his communication, it made him more interesting for the general public.
Mellings, Edgar Allan Poe during his introduction created a kind of foil to Bales Detective Landor was Poe a suspect incriminating himself?
But as the story continues on it just gets deeper!
As of the setting and atmosphere of the movie, there is very little musical soundtrack to create such a mood like any other movie. We hear more of the wild track the background noises, when in a room there is silence devoid of any orchestral sounds except near the end and the final confrontation!
Such a great who done it movie!
Slow Horses: Cicada (2022)
Yeap the team deserve to be in slough house
Yeap what a rolls-coaster of episode!!
With Cartwright and Harpers skill at tracking people one ends up Tasered and other dead, just watching them do it makes you feel they're not that professional!
The team are all over the place like a headless chickens in this episode, which to me is a good thing as it shows who is vulnerable and who is best under pressure!
Standish seems to be quite tact and good at getting information using practical official means!
Lamb and Dander checking out the house I thought was exciting get gruesome which leads to the assumption the enemy is very ruthless!
What an episide!
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
There's a storm coming!
It has taken me a while to write my thoughts on this movie, after seeing Matt Reeves version! The English Batman of Robert Patterson, was good but slow boring, tiring, too long and seen all before take.
It's as if Matt Reeves is trying to tone down Chris Nolan's Version!.
The final in this Chris Nolan Trilogy does not disappoint!
The Welsh Batman has the last laugh!
Fantastic on all levels!
Christian Bale gives it his all!
Anne Hathaway she is brilliant I love her 'Cat Woman' she takes the character to another level.
The story may be far fetched but it's how you tell it to the audience, how you project and sell the idea of something outlandish and it works!
My only thought on this movie is Tom Hardy and his weird accent!
Both Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Marion Cotillard give great performances!
Michael Cain steals the ending!
But the Ending is debatable on all levels and there are theories on what is really happening, is it real or a dream!
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
Mmm confusion of versions
Ok
I'm not going to talk about the story as that's been said thousands of time in its 43 year life span and it wouldn't make not one difference!
I'm not going to talk about the acting or special effects or even the turmoil of getting it made!
But what I will say it has stood the test of time from 1966 to 2022 and maybe beyond, sprouting out spin off movies and TV series, just from watching this. Which to some one up there thinking it had promise in other means! Kudos to them!
But there is another thing I will say, is unlike Star Wars episode 4: a new hope, this one movie alone has been really messed around with so much you don't know which version is which
You have the Star Trek the Motion Picture, the standard Theatrical version then you have the TV version of the movie, then you have the letterbox version(with surround 5.1 sound) then you have the Extended Version, then you have the Directors Cut version, then you have the directors Edition Remastered(137min) then you have the new directors Edition second remaster (138min) but in 4K.!
I'm sure I must have missed one out some where!
I'm guessing they will bring out a new version in 6k or 8k with Dolby Atmos in the near future with new digital footage! Probably called
Star Trek: The motion picture the ultimate Directors additional remastered extended UHD, 6k spectral sound Atmos with unseen footage and new digital footage! That was a mouth full!
I accidentally bought this movie twice on Amazon prime because I got mixed up with the versions!!
PLEASE. NO MORE VERSIONS !!!!😂😂😂
Warrior Nun (2020)
I have been enlighten
Season 2 has made a big difference!
I saw a lot of negativity in the first season when I saw other peoples reviews! But this has all changed for season 2
The stakes are very high here and the series delivers 10 fold, all the characters shows their flaws and it is these flaws that is essential to the story that shows how strong their characters are and how they are redeemed or taken away!
It's amazing how things turn for the worse and the beiief in Adrial is not enlightenment but like a disease that spreads like wildfire!
Every thing looks messed up in the story, yet each part unravels and begins to come clear as it goes along a very complex story!
I lovel it!
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Phantom Apprentice (2020)
One of the best if not best stories in the clone wars saga
This and the following episodes is one of the best of the whole story and ties together the 'whole Star Wars saga' neatly!
The fall of Mandalor and the rise of the empire!
The beginning of the Bo-katan saga where she is made ruler of Mandalor for a short time by the Jedi order then overthrown by the empire by puppet Gar Saxon!
This is also one of the best Ahsoka stories too!
Her light Saber fight with Maul is considered one of the best scenes in both animation and motion picture series of the Star Wars saga! With the use of digital motion capture it emphasises the human quality and fluidity of action, which is why the fight scene was phenomenal!
This also cements Ahsoka as one of the greatest 'living jedi' even out living Luke Skywalker...and all others!
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi: Practice Makes Perfect (2022)
I love this series
I love this series, especially the ones concerning Ahsoka! Up to now I believe she must be the greatest Living Ex-Jedi 'alive'. Up to now...
Compared to some one like Luke, who is now dead and Rey who I can't really say much about, but Ahsoka is one of the 'original, old school Jedi' that's still alive. She was taught in the ways of the force on Coruscant, met all the various Jedi's and been on missions, she did the Jedi rights of passage. Practiced and meditation with various masters in various classes!
Even met all the elders and high council, librarians etc.
Ahsoka I believe is the only living Jedi that has truly experienced the life and up bringing from the start.
Luke was kind of half trained, Rey was trained by a half trained Jedi...who in a way was too old when he started!
Episode 5 of Tales of the Jedi was a brilliant episode, kind of In a sense put her in a position that would later happen to her for real.
The way this Episode led up to season 7 of Clone wars
Final episode 'victory or death!'
