The Office (2005)
Still the best
Now 2014 and The Office is still the funniest television show of our generation. Everything since The Office tries to be funny and you try to laugh. I still watch The Office reruns when I want something actually funny to watch. Whatever the writers and actors were paid on that show it wasn't enough. Seriously what is going on with television that we have to watch reruns to be entertained years later. Hollywood wake up ... Lately there is a competition to see who can be the most disturbing. Maybe there is some new Hollywood award for the most disturbing? You guys got that market cornered!
Hollywood please do some outside hires and hopefully get back in touch with real comedy. You've become so politically correct that outside of just disturbing... today's TV shows are just garbage.
I miss The Office :(
Castle (2009)
Miss his old character
Castle is OKay. His character is kind of a weeny. I feel like we've suffered enough of this. I still miss the sarcastic, cocky, fly by the seat of your pants, humorous character he had in Firefly. Why can't we just have that character back? You KNOW that's what we want.. just give it to us!! I'm tired of settling for Castle. Enough is enough so give us what we want... finally!! Castle has been a good run but I'm ready to hear that Hollywood has either put a similar Firefly back together with Nathan Fillion or some other project where Nathan Fillion can be more like the Firefly character. I don't want the weeny little writer hiding behind the woman. ick Enough is enough...
Dom Hemingway (2013)
Too nasty
I really like Jude Law. I really wanted to watch this movie. But you are bombarded with filth from the very beginning. You have to commit yourself to wading through crud to pick out the humor and I just couldn't.
I don't know what's going on with Hollywood. They have certainly turned up the nasty. It's so much worse now than it was even 5 years ago. It's to the point now that out of 5 movies I'm lucky if one is worth watching. Really makes me sad because I really like actors like Jude Law and I know he can perform but that's not the point. Everything you take in becomes a part of your human experience and I don't want to add smutty, lousy, nasty filth to my human experience. Now I'm wondering if IMDb actually believes in the first amendment or only if it agrees with their own review and views.
The Red Road (2014)
Hits the nail on many heads
This story has depth, history and complexity. I love it. It's well acted and it's evolving. It doesn't show you it's hand so quickly.. you're going to have to keep watching. What's wrong with that? Does everything have to be a fast food happy meal? Don't you like to be served in courses sometimes? Anyway I really like this show and look forward to more. This story has enormous potential and they could take it so many different directions. It doesn't push homosexuality .. how refreshing. It doesn't push any politics .. wow nice. Aren't we all sick to death of manipulative political agendas? It's about human experience and intense personal, social and family relationships. It's set up so you can put yourself in the place of each character. You aren't seeing the story unfold from the eyes of one character only. I like that because it allows you to imagine what it's like to be each person.
If paint drying is more interesting to you dude then go watch your paint dry and let the adults watch TV. Thanks
