I love Buffyverse
14 January 2017
My title says it all. Big fan here, and big fun watching the show... I've seen the DVDs a few months ago. I was young when I saw it on TV and didn't remember how much I enjoyed this stories, Buffy, also Angel - the spin off -. And how much I loved some of the characters like Willow, Xander, Oz and Spike (not Riley, who loves Riley?) Seeing the DVDs I realize of how much the series improved with time, not only the budget but the stories, how rich the characters became. Buffy represents the girl power: strong, smart but still feminine. Also it was one of the first shows to introduce gay characters. The vampire thematic was not new, however, it managed to make it new. I recommend it very much

Well done
14 January 2017
I really enjoyed this movie. At first, I thought it could be boring. Only two actors - three then and four later - sustaining all the plot... made me doubt but actually I really like it. You could say it's kind of an obvious story and you'll be right but that does not mean it isn't good. Good acting and tricks, good story, action, love and emotions... mostly emotions. I think the main topic in this movie is loneliness and how it affects our lives. How can we, like Aurora, be lonely although having lots of friends; how, like James we can feel useless in a world that seems not to need our talent; how we can't run away of our problems and how we can't plan our destiny...

Better than I expected
19 November 2016
Someone told me that it was written on the newspaper critic than the move was a bad adaption of the book, slow etc. Of course, this was said to me by a person that had not read the book or seen the movie but, based on the critic, had decided not to see the film. But I went anyway... I hate when after saying "i want to see this movie" you are told it's bad and you won't like it... I went expecting nothing... Although there are some significant changes (for example: location) they don't interfere with the history. I enjoyed it and think it's pretty well adapted. Also, the person who joined me had not read the book so she had no expectation either, nor a reference to compare. She said she kept the tension all the way to the end. So, if you like thriller or suspense, I think you'll enjoy it.

Pretty bad, pretty boring
23 February 2015
Well... I saw this movie to discover what was so appealing in it that everyone was talking about it whether they've seen it or not, whether they've read the books or not. One of my friends - after she read the book - told me: I fall in love again, referring to Mr. Grey. So, yes, I was curious.

Anyway, it was very disappointing. It was not about romance or even about sex - as everyone says - it's about controlling a person - Anastasia -, controlling every detail, every aspect of her life, even sex... and also telling her in many different ways that he wants to hurt her.

The movie is bad. Boring, too long, no chemistry between the actors... The story is OK (so so). At least Anastasia is not as submissive as Grey wants but she tolerates a manipulative, jealous, controlling and abusive guy just because she wants him to love her... Sorry girl, that's no love.

Leaving sex apart,it seems to be an apology for domestic violence with all those rewards and punishments.... and all those excuses for his behavior because he is a complex, traumatize man who has shades... No woman should tolerate a man like Mr Grey and, actually, it worries me that so many women have fallen "in love again", as my friend.

I said before "sex a part" because I'm not judging neither it nor the practices the character have, that belongs to the intimacy in a couple but yet I judge the model of man that is making women crazy about in a time when so many is made to combat gender and domestic violence.

Not bad but it's not a thriller but a drama
8 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I was a little disappointed to discover it's not a thriller - as I was told - but a drama. As usually in Indian movies, it could be shorter and that would have made it a best movie. The teenagers getting to know each other should be shorter and the adults life longer. Also, I think that the lack of clues of Dhanush future mood changes is an script mistake. One thing I din not like is that it makes bipolar people look very bad and that's not as bipolar people are. I ask watchers to please inform themselves about bipolar disorder before making any judgment after watching this movie. That's also why I'm saying that we should have had "clues" during Ram's teenage years and not suddenly in his maturity. Said all that, I just want to add that is a nice but very sad love story. Anyway, I give it an 8 cause I loved the acting and that very catchy song: Why this kolaveri, di?

Nice and simple
19 May 2014
It's a pretty common and simple romantic movie but, anyhow, very enjoyable. The story is nice and funny. Not as bad as the votes here in IMDb. It has a public: people who just want to have a nice time, laugh a little, without having to try to understand a plot. As I said, the plot is very simple. It's just a shy and sweet college drop out guy, Marco, who is in love. He lives with his friends and has a playboy dad. It's a movie about love. The question is: Is love an art or a science? Does it have any rules? Marco's dad thinks it has 10 rules and if a man follow them, he can get any girl he wants. But love is not just "getting the girl" and love can't be based on lies.

Gravity or Murphy's law in the space.
15 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I was eager to see this movie after media commentaries but I was very disappointed instead. It lacks of surprising moments, it lacks of tension. I was wishing tension... Ryan, Sandra Bullock's character, lives one after another bad situation in space but the spectator KNOWS at every second of this movie that she will get her happy ending and that makes this movie a very poor story. When everything has gone so bad and nothing else could happen, it was time to ended it but instead the movie goes on making it boring and obvious. She destroyed, involuntary, of course, 2 space stations. She thinks someone would go to space to rescue her (as if... one person versus million of dollars to invest just to rescue her and in a capitalist society...OK Hollywood). This story would be much greater with a sad ending. Ryan floating alone in the space, with almost zero oxigene and saying: if only I...

Bad bad bad bad (not even funny)
14 March 2014
Very bad modern parody of a great book: "Lord of the flies". Don't even worth to be seen for free... Lets say that Van Damme character is Simon (not a nice Simon as in the book but...); Adam Brody is Ralph and Rob Huebel is Jack. Also, Kristen Schaal is Piggy and Aaron Takahash Roger. Kristopher Van Varenberg could be the twins... who knows...

Out of the Island, Phil (Huebel) is Chris (Brody)'s boss. He's an abusive boss, seconded by his right hand, Troy (Takahash). As the manager of the company feels his employees are not team players, he send them to an island to bond. The plane lands, the pilot dies and a very boring parody of "Lord of the flies" begins... It's not funny, it's not entertaining, it's just a waste of time.
