The Pearl of Death (1944)
Holmes meets The Creeper!
Rondo Hatton is my hero. Rondo took the crummy hand that fate dealt him and played it magnificently. He became one of the most endearing and cool anti-heroes of all B-moviedom. Hatton played The Creeper in three movies: The Pearl of Death, The House of Horrors, and The Brute Man (a prequel to House of Horrors). To experience Rondo Hatton as The Creeper is to experience pure magic! I watched horror movies as kid and always loved "the monster". A good "monster" gets my vote every damn time. The Creeper fits that bill perfectly and better than most. The Creeper is one of my all time favorite fright flick anti-heroes. GOD BLESS YOU RONDO HATTON!
House of Horrors (1946)
Rondo!!
Rondo Hatton is my hero. Who cares if he wasn't a classically trained actor?! As The Creeper he tugs the heart-strings like a pro! He's got heart! He's got soul! He's got courage! He's also damned likable! Rondo is also one hell of a hero. Rondo took the crummy hand that fate dealt him and played it magnificently. Sheena: Queen of the Jungle (1955)
Irish McCalla!
I've enjoyed the exploits of Sheena : Queen of the Jungle in all of her various incarnations over the years. I've had a ball collecting and following Sheena's adventures from the pulps, comic books, the big screen, and TV. Sheena has been entertaining us for close to 70 years now, but you sure wouldn't know it to look at her. Each time I've encountered Sheena she always looks just as beautiful and sexy as ever! I like both Tanya Roberts and Gina Lee Nolan as Sheena, but my favorite Queen of the Jungle is Irish McCalla. McCalla was absolutely perfect in the role of Sheena. I wish they would release the 1955 Sheena TV series on DVD.
Sheena (2000)
fun series!
Sheena has been entertaining us for close to 70 years now, but you wouldn't know it to look at her. She still looks as beautiful and sexy as ever! I'm a major fan of the Queen of the Jungle and I've enjoyed her in various incarnations over the years. I've had a ball collecting and following Sheena's adventures from the pulps, comic books, the big screen, and on TV. My favorite actress in the role of Sheena is Irish McCalla, but I've enjoyed Tanya Roberts and Gina Lee Nolan too. Gina was radiant and extremely likable as Sheena. I had a fantastic time watching this show each week. Sheena always provided enjoyable escapism. I hope they release the series on DVD.
Sheena (1984)
fun!
Sheena has been entertaining us for close to 70 years now, but you sure wouldn't know it to look at her. She still looks as beautiful and sexy as ever. I've had a ball following Sheena's adventures in the pulps, comic books, on TV, and in this Sheena movie from 1984. My favorite actress in the role of Sheena is Irish McCalla, but I've enjoyed Tanya Roberts and Gina Lee Nolan too. Roberts is stunningly beautiful and she conveys a wonderful sense of innocence as Sheena. This 1984 Sheena movie is a blast of cheesy fun that provides plenty of entertaining moments that make for great escapism. Enjoy this one with good friends, beverages, and lots of popcorn. Sheena is fun!
