Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007)
Not 1980s but 1950s
Just have to correct a big mistake. Alvin and the Chipmunks were first introduced back in 1958. As a child I can remember watching Alvin and the Chipmunks in the early 1960s. If you look at Dave's house number in the new movie, it is 1958 to pay homage as the beginning year of the great trio. IN the 1980s, the son of the founder of the Chipmunks took a stab at a weekly show and even a couple of animated movies that used to be shown on The Disney Channel. This was when were were sadly introduced to the Chimpettes. Yuck.
It was great to see them back and I look forward to buying the DVD when it comes out.
George Burns Comedy Week: Christmas Carol II: The Sequel (1985)
If you ever wanted to know what happened after Scrooge was visited that Christmas night, this really hits the mark with a lot of fun
It has been a long time since I saw this episode. I was lucky enough to have it on tape for a while until it was accidentally erased. It is the story about Scrooge after he was taught his lesson about being kind and giving to others.
It is a few years later and Scrooge is now being taken advantage of by all the town people. Even Tiny Tim (played by the tall Ed Begley) has become a stuck up brat who wants to be called Tiny Timothy from now on.
The ghosts return but this time they try to teach him that to give is divine but not be such a dope about it.
It was funny and well done. I wish someone would slap this with other episodes of this show on DVD.
