The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)
A great chance floundered.
Instead of using the resources we have today, Charles Martinet is still alive, why cast Chris Pratt as our beloved character Mario, it was a real dis-service to people who've grown up with Mario games/ Tv shows in their life. My favorite character Luigi takes a terrible back seat, becoming the 'Damsel in distress' for the movie. (if they didn't want peach to be a damsel in distress, just don't have anybody get captured, Mario is still going to want to stop bowser even without collateral of a hostage to add tension). Just overall not fond of this film, My 8yr old nephew liked it, but he also watches "The Sonic the hedgehog movies" almost every day.
Velma (2023)
Lifetime Scooby-doo fan Disappointed.
I've literally have been watching Scooby-doo before the earliest I can remember. This show (writers, directors) are purposefully stepping on the source material in what seems top be a jealous or spiteful fashion. The "Jokes" made about meta situations, and overused tropes was old before it was even spoken on screen. Velma has always been the smart, reserves, and albeit sometimes clumsy for losing her glasses, But she remained the groups brain and always displayed more skill and ability to be a detective then some of the other members of the gang. Also, shaggy went from being a hungry and silly character, to the most normal acting serious person in the show. WHAT A BUMMER.
Hellraiser (2022)
Probably just watched the death of this franchise...
What an awful film, They had ALOT to work with in the realm of what existed and what doesn't, and it's incredible to me they went the route that they did. Fails to meet expectations, it's slow paced and boring meandering narrative will have you wanting to do anything but finish it. The actors try, But you can only do so much to improve upon an already Hemorrhaging Plot on life support. It's sad that this the the fate of EVERY film in todays world, creativity is dead, and we get stuck with lackluster money grabbing sequels like this one. SKIP IT you'll thank me for the time you can do something you'll actually enjoy.
Nick News with Linda Ellerbee (1991)
Leftwing brainwashing show.
Watched a whole episode to try and be unbiased. The mess that is biden's infrastructure bill (where half the money isn't going towards anything related to infrastructure) is the best thing to ever happen to us according to this program... Glad I don't have television at the house, because this is getting ridiculous.
Cruella (2021)
Glad I watched it on my membership and didn't pay to see it.
I went because my wife loved the Dalmatian movies and just HAD to see it. We left and not only was I disappointed my wife actually said "Disney has gone down hill" the same woman who has an entire collection of Disney classics on her shelf completely shunned this movie. For what was spent on this movie, I'd be shocked if they actually screened this for test audiences before it was approved for release. I need tp just give up on Disney movies until they figure out what their fans actually want.
