The Watch (2020–2021)

Not bad, but definitely not a Pratchett

The show hasn't got even the slightest alusion of Pratchett's atmosphere in it. If is that you expect it, please don't! You will be greatly disappointed! It is just cyberpunk show with some of sir Pratchett character's names. I was at first shocked that they could make such a thing and called it "The Watch", but after couple of episodes I don't find it so bad at all. It isn't Pratchett, of cource, but is enjoible and fun to watch. I love Discworld's novels and hope someday we will have chance to see them on screen done properly.

It's Only the End of the World (2016)

An amazing film

I just watched the Xavier Dolan film: "Juste la fin du monde". It is strange one...in the good sense of "stange"! The main character is a guy who come back home after 12 years absence to announce for his inevitable death to the family. What he is dying from, why he has left home in the first place...so many questions and so little answers. The whole movie has an atmosphere of something ...something from the past. Like a puzzle Dolan gives to the audience piece by piece the parts of the story, and at the end you being left full with questions and with one feeling of inevitability. The family is strange and in the same time so ordinary. The characters are very complicated - they don't know what to say or do, they are wavering over every possible feelings, they are terrified from the reality, they got angry at each other and to the world at the same time, deeply unhappy, each of them stuck into his/ hers personal hell... And actually it is an amazing film. I highly recommend it to all fans of European cinema.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Dumb,Idiotic and repulsive movie

I went to see "Wonder woman" because I thought it would be fiction. And in fact it was the most idiotic one i have ever seen in my life - fictional elementsand total distort of world history. I never imagined that someone would be so dumb to make such an idiotic mess. World War II - seriously ?! Are you normal guys ?! Flat plot and dialog, no acting at all. Lets see - there was a half-goddess, the daughter of Zeus, and Miss Israel,by the way, who saved the world from the bad bad German orcs during the WWII. The bad and ugly German orcs killed whole village (or couple of them) just for fun, using some poison gas, and the "Wonder woman" came to save mankind and killed them all. And pretty much that was the storyline. All of it. So please do not make my mistake - do not lobotomize your brain with such a malicious cliché. It is boring,unbearably long and absolutely meaningless. The only beautiful thing in the movie is the girl - really good looking one, but actually she is not enough for me to consider this movie as tolerable.

Timbuktu (2014)

Absolute masterpiece

A beautiful movie. Absolute masterpiece! I didn't expect it to be , but when i saw it i was charmed as much as i could ever be. I don't think i ll forget it anytime soon. It is like a dream (and a nightmare in the same time) - another world with different rules from ours, but same people. People who wants to be free, to love, to sing, to play soccer....to enjoy life. People who wants it differently.... Peaceful people who remember what was before the jihadists. This is movie which everybody must see.

It is about love - one unusual, but beautiful love...

The movie has its issues - the beginning is kind of strange, the characters are not developed well, as they could be...but still i liked the it because it has a spirit.

The spirit of nostalgia. Going back to the childhood, the time when we where happy and light- hearted. The life is scary, the growing up could be frightening.

The love story is extraordinary - a young man, almost a kid and a adult woman who is confused with her life. That love is a beautiful, impossible, elusive,passionate kind of love.

I don't understand why this movie has so many negative revues and rates. I don't find anything wrong, scandalous,immoral or outrageous in it. OK she is older, but what? You could fall in love at any age!

People in US consider the consent intercourse with 16-17 years old boy as something scandalous and almost a rape. But they don't find anything wrong when the 17-18 years old boys go to the American army to kill people.So you could go and kill people at the age of 17, but you must wait till 21 to buy a booze.Of course, if you have a relationship with an adult woman at age of 16 or 17 she must be put in jail for child abuse because you are minor:)))

Terrible movie.

I would say even the worst one i have watched this Year! Long, boring, stupid and predictable!

Funny?!

I didn't find anything funny in it! Unbearable flat, shallow, idiotic American humor.

I can't believe i spent 1 hour and 51 min. of my life lobotomizing my brain with such a cliché!

Why this people in Hollywood continue making such a crap for God sake!?

The only good and maybe funny moment was the Elon Musk scene. I rate it with 2 and i think it deserved it completely.

The Crown Jewels (2011)

A great example of European cinema

I just finished watching "The Crown Jewels" and i find it absolutely gorgeous. A great example of European cinema. Beautiful decors, deep and meaningful story line, unexpected turns and amazing acting game. The movie is kind of dark (not surprising, according to the fact that this is a Scandinavian movie). The characters are very complicated - they wavering between love and hate,they got angry at the world, deeply unhappy, each of them stuck into his/ hers personal hell.But you still could find everything in it - hope, desperation and the forgiveness...after all. Things change in every brief moment...and life goes on.. Beautiful actress Alicia Vikander (as Fragancia) did amazing performance, as always. I don't understand why "The Crown Jewels" is rated so low in IMDb ,this movie deserves much more then 5.8 I only hope they didn't really kill poor little bunny because of this movie...

A Perfect Day (I) (2015)

Beautiful film

Beautiful film. I would say even a masterpiece! An excellent acting game,good scenario and cinematography.

Somewhere in the 90s. At the Balkans. The war in Bosnia. A group of aid workers from different countries are trying to help in the middle of a huge after war mess. Trying to do what could be done - in the present case to find a rope, which they could use for taking out corpse from the а well - the only source of fresh water for the local people. During the rope seeking they ran into a bunch of funny or dramatic (mostly both in the same time) situations, but it couldn't be otherwise at the Balkans. ;)

To me "A Perfect Day" is a movie for little things and little actions, which lead to a big change for people.

I highly recommend this movie to all fans to European cinema and to everyone who wants to see something different from all meaningless crap, which flooded us from Hollywood lately.

The Revenant (I) (2015)

Totally waste of time

Awful movie. The worst one i watched this year...(so far). I can't imagine how sick and perverted someone must be to make such a crappy and repulsive film?! Average scenario, flat dialogues, no acting game at all....just rivers of blood everywhere. Too much for my taste, and also for the tastes of many people in the cinema theater - today half of them just left after the first disgusting scene ....and they were so many of them! What was the idea of the movie - some kind of exotic punishment for the audience?! I think "The Revenant" is appropriate for people who love blood, aggression and killings, but it is not for mentally sane people. Watching this movie was totally waste of my time.

Bulgarian Rhapsody (2014)

Very good for Bulgarian movie

I watched the movie last night, as a part of a movie festival here in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The movie is good (for Bulgarian movie) and i actually liked it. They are two plot lines - from one side the dramatic historical facts about the Bulgarian citizens from Jewish backgrounds during the World War II and from other side it is a sweet love story ..... or actually a couple of them. The quantity of drama is significant, but there are also some funny moments about typical Bulgarian manner of living. On some places the script is a bit too colorful and some of the scenes are overacted. The acting game is very good. The roles are given to some of the best Bulgarian actors, so it couldn't be otherwise.

The Cut (I) (2014)

A true masterpiece!Liked it a lot!

Faith Akin - unique as always.I would say that "The cut" is one of his best films.

Very hard to watch it on some points - kind of painful - the armenian genocide is historical fact.

Very good scenario and actors!

Definitely one of the best movies, which i have watched this year.

Highly recommend "The Cut" to everyone who wants to understand what the real cinema is!

Gave 9 to the movie and i think this movie absolutely deserved it.

The Trip to Italy (2014)

A big disappointment!

I just watched "The Trip to Italy". A big disappointment! I couldn't find neither comedy nor drama in it. Just terribly boring and slow action, idiotic dialogues and nonsense. Who wrote such a scenario?! Two aged guys who was just eating and talking non-stop.Are they famous in Britain?! I couldn't find anything funny. I was waiting something to happen during all this unbearable 108 minutes. The longest 108 minutes in my life! I have never seen so many people to leave the cinema theater before the movie ends. I literally fell asleep couple times during this one. I love British humor, but please! Rating of 6.7 in IMDb ?! Really? I gave to "The Trip to Italy" 1 (awful) and i think, this movie deserves it completely.
