Galavant (2015)
Must See TV...Someone Pick Up This Show and Continue
This show came on about the time that Glee was wrapping up and should have killed. It is a parody of fairy tales that we all know & love and the characters & music are wonderfully funny. The main characters of the show are perfectly cast In their roles and there are cameos by other stars that fill out the story lines, each one adding to the wonderful blend of twisted humor. This will be enjoyable to the entire family. Regrettably, this show only lasted two seasons, but it should be viewed anyway. Perhaps, Netflix or some other forward-thinking art-house will resurrect the show with its original cast to continue the story with an explanation of the pause due to a spell?

Survive (2020)
A Worthy Survival Flick...
One of the first films I have seen on Quibi with an episodic format of about 8-minutes per episode, and there are twelve episodes. Like a lot of other people that have provided reviews of this flick, I thought that the brooding/melancholy that Jane exhibited, one of the main characters, went a little too long. Paul, the other main character, provided both the will to go on and the drive to seeking civilization. Plenty of events along the way down from their crash site to provide the drama. Transitioning from cliff-side to the ground was a huge leap in the story. The ending was predictable, but I enjoyed the story anyway. I think that if they had spent a bit more time on the front-end of this movie, I think they would have been able to edit-out a good bit of the segments to qualify as a short-film.
The performances by both Sophie Turner & Corey Hawkins were splendid in these roles and you get to see both actors provide a great deal to this feature throughout, they indeed made it worthwhile to view this movie. The cinematography was great with plenty of epic wilderness scenes & flyovers to give you a sense of how difficult the going was through the snow and the rubble along the peaks. This film did not rely upon special effects, particularly absent in the plane crash. In my opinion, this provided a good deal of suspense. Though both actors are attractive, the only one showing any skin was Corey to assess his character's injuries, which only added to the drama of the story.
I gave this film seven stars only because it should have been a short-film. I don't think that it would have done well in theaters, but it definitely would have done well at film festivals and received recognition in the form of nominations. It is worthy of your time. I also came away from it with a memorable line uttered by Corey's character about memories. You'll have to view the film to hear it!
They Shall Not Grow Old (2018)
The Great War
This film was dedicated by Peter Jackson to his grandfather, who served in the Royal Army from 1910-1918. The narration by different people representing those that served in the Great War was riveting and the imagery was both astounding and ghastly. I was riveted and astounded by the awful conditions, the courage that it took to carry on, and the shear brutality of the war. They were quite young when the enlisted. They did not know what the war was about, and so many would not grow old.
Spoiler alert, the Germans lost the War.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
Just When It Was Really Taking Off
The stories that emanated from each successive episode got better as did the acting. The show should have been renewed and gone on for at least four more seasons. Executives that made the decision to cancel this show should hang their heads in shame. Hopefully, there will be a resurrection, to start anew. The original cast were wonderful and the addition of the mercurial Scottish Terminator was clever.
Like the original Terminator by James Cameron, it stands the test of time. This series was a treat to watch and is highly recommended to be viewed in its entirety.
