Troll 2 (1990)
This movie is a strange specimen..
Troll 2, in my opinion, isn't the worst movie ever made. That title would go to "Monster A- Go Go". This movie isn't exactly so bad its good either. Its sort of in between. That's not saying its a bad movie. A good movie wouldn't make a movie about goblins and call it Troll 2. The acting is beyond awful as well. Some of the actors in this movie, like the daughter, make Tommy Wiseau look like Bela Lugosi. And last, but not least, the trolls. Most of them look the same, which is like little kids in terrible plastic masks. I don't really understand what this movie was trying to accomplish. I couldn't tell if it was a horror, comedy, or both. In conclusion, stay away from this one.
I give it: 3/10
Monster a Go-Go (1965)
The Worst Movie I've Ever Seen!
Indeed, this movie is the worst of the worst. Worst than "Manos: The Hands of Fate", worst than "Birdemic: Shock and Terror", even worst than "In Search of the Titanic". I cant really talk about the plot, because you can barely even see/hear anything in this movie.
In matter of fact, Joel Hodgson of Mystery Science Theater 3000 said this is the worst movie he's ever seen. Also, there's the monster. It just looks like some guy that they covered up in band aids and slapped some make up on him. So, if you want to mentally scar yourself, I recommend Monster a- Go Go.
My rating: 1/10
Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
One of my favorites!
I love this movie, and is probably my favorite Brian De Palma film. It is excellently written, it has memorable characters, and of course, great music. The plot follows record label owner Swan (Paul Williams), as he searches for musicians to play at the opening night of his rock palace, The Paradise. He hears a song from Winslow Leech (William Finnley), and decides not to politely ask him to play, but steals his cantata, and sell it to female singer. At Swan's palace, he meets Phoenix (Jessica Harper), who is auditioning to perform. He is then caught by Swan's security guards, and after a series of events, he gets his face morbidly deformed with a record press. He attempts to attack the paradise, by putting bombs in cars and electrocuting musicians, but I won't give too much away. 10/10.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
One of my favorite movies!
This is, in my opinion, the best cult classic out there. It has an interesting plot, a colorful cast of characters, and of course, great music. I mean, who could forget classics like "The Time Warp" or "Sweet Transvestite"? The plot revolves around Brad Major and Janet Weiss, who get a flat tire on their way to visit an old friend. They decide to ask if they could use a phone in a nearby castle. They are greeted by Riff- Raff, who tells them, it's a "Very special occasion". After some characters are introduced during "The Time Warp", Frank N. Furter makes his entrance with "Sweet Transvestite". He invites them over with open arms, before he brings life to his creation Rocky Horror. I'm not going to spoil too much, so I'll stop there. So overall, I give this movie a 10/10.
