Leave It to Beaver: Beaver's Football Award (1962)
Season 6, Episode 2
8/10
No wonder it's the final season
29 March 2024
This episode proves that Leave It To Beaver has overstayed its welcome. The writers obviously ran out of ideas. The Beaver has lost his child naivete and he is showing that he is stupid and relentlessly gullible to others. Just like the monster sweatshirt episode the Beaver always is the odd man out and his friends laugh at his expanse. Ward was right in forcing the Beaver to go to the reward dinner without getting dressed up in a suit while bringing his suit. Like Jay North of Dennis The Menace Jerry Mathers has outgrown the Beaver role and the writers has ran out ideas and has to reuse scripts. The one thing Leaver It to Beaver done right was to shift to Wally.

Mary should have left Sheldon behind.
16 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Once again the stars of Young Sheldon is everyone except Sheldon. After a tornado destroys Meemaw's home all Sheldon cares about himself. The standout is Missy who took over the reins of running the Cooper household. Poor Dale Meemaw's boyfriend always seems to put a foot in his mouth while trying to be sympathetic to Meemaw's plight. Pastor Jeff gets his conscience getting to him by giving his new TV to George since the money was Meemaw's his wife found. Mary wants to return home to help although there is no room for her and Sheldon. Mary should have left Sheldon behind in Germany. I did like that Mary got drunk and started singing.

The Big Bang Theory (2007–2019)
7/10
Great at the beginning
14 November 2023
The Big Bang Theory was a funny take on nerd culture in the early seasons but as time went by the series went downhill when the nerds started pairing up.

First there was Sheldon Cooper who is supposed to be the smartest of the group but he has no social consciousness on how he mistreats everyone especially Leonard. Basically Sheldon is a manchild who is incredibly selfish and cruel.

Then there is Leonard who is basically a poor soul who is mistreated by his heartless mother and Sheldon. Leonard does fight back. He also one of the nerdiest of the group but is somewhat successful with girls.

Third there is Howard a stereotypical Jewish mama's boy. Howard passes himself as a ladies man but fails except when he hooks up with Bernadette.

Fourth there is Raj who starts off unable to talk to girls but after a while he overcomes his fear. Raj is also financially overdependent to his father. Raj also very effeminate and in the later seasons his Indian accent gets annoying.

In the early seasons TBBT embraces nerd culture but the nerds hook up. As for the women the best is Penny and Amy with Penny as the beautiful next door neighbor and Amy as the love interest for Sheldon who is equally as smart as him. Then there is Bernadette Howard's girlfriend and later wife. Bernadette has a squeaky voice which gets on the nerves. Although we do feel sorry for her cause Howard is lazy she also becomes mean and emasculates Howard.

As the seasons go by TBBT becomes less funny. The blame rests squarely on the show's creator Chuck Lorre. Every show he created is basically the same. Create unlikeable characters and be as mean spirited you can be.

Sheldon's Cruelty
4 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Throughout The Big Bang. Theory Leonard has been treated like dirt by Sheldon and his evil uncaring mother. Only Penny and the others show him compassion. In this episode Sheldon's behavior towards Leonard goes to a sadistic level of cruelty and vindictiveness'. Here after years of deciding on what prize Sheldon wants he comes to a decision and in typical Sheldon fashion he demands Leonard to drop everything and take him to claim his prize. I believe that Leonard loses the ticket and Sheldon is so annoyed he demands Leonard to wear an itchy sweater for him to experience what he goes through and Leonard as usual complys. If I was Leonard I would tell Sheldon to effed off. If anyone who deserves the punishment is Sheldon to experience what Leonard's life is like from being insulted constantly by him and to feel of having a mother who is uncaring and showing no love to him. This is once again of Chuck Lorre of being cruel to the characters he created.

Tarnishes The Godfather's Legacy
2 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Paramount definitely indulged Francis Ford Coppola by allowing him to hire his daughter Sofia to have a major part as Michael Corleone's daughter Mary. Sofia clearly couldn't act and she wisely decided to become a director like her father. As for The Godfather III the plot was convoluted with Michael Corleone attempting to take over the Church's real estate. Most people was unaware of the Church's corruption in the 70's and 80's. The movie does has it's positives with the addition of Andy Garcia as Vincent Mancini the illegitimate son of Sonny Corleone and Joe Mantegna as Joey Zaza. We never know the motivation of Don Altobello grievance of the Corleones. With the murder of Mary we see an elderly Michael die most likely in Sicily alone. While not a horrible movie The Godfather III tarnishes its legacy.

More like The Farce Awakens
24 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
When Disney bought Star Wars and the promise of the return of Luke, Han and Leia there would be the magic of the original trilogy. After the disappointing prequels. How wrong we were deceived. Under the helm of Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams all we got is a rehash of A New Hope with Rey instead of Luke. Then we see the introductions of Poe and Finn which in the sequels were only pawns to boost Rey. Then we see the return of Han and Chewie. Han has returned to his old ways as an aging smuggler and assist Rey and Finn to find the missing Luke. We also see the new villain Kylo Ren who big surprise is Han and Leia's son Ben who fell to the dark side. Now where did we see this? As the movie continues we see Rey using the Force with no training and her defeating Kylo. Han dies much like Obi Wan and at the end we see the return of Luke and the audience applauded well in The Last Jedi we see exactly how that turned out. What wee witnessed was the beginning of the death of Star Wars it only got a hell of a lot worst. TFA was the best of the two sequels.

Should Have Ended With The Last Crusade
3 July 2023
Why is the Crystal Skull and Dials of Destiny should not have been made? It is because Indiana Jones is a hero of his time period the 1930's. George Lucas created Indiana Jones as the model of all of the movie serials and the films of that time period which Humphrey Bogart ruled with The Maltese Falcon and The Treasure of Sierra Madre.

With The Crystal Skull Indy was a man whose his time as an adventurer is passing by. It was a post WWII era in the 1950's with the Soviets as the new villains in the Cold War. But the movie was too far fetched with aliens.

Now in the fifth film The Dials of Destiny which takes place in 1969 we see an aged and a broken Indy who wants his life to end. Another problem with this movie is Phoebe Waller Bridge. She is really unlikeable. In the old days they would tes the characters but Kathleen Kennedy cares only about the feminist agenda and not the fans. The time travel plot is worst than the aliens.

This is not Hogwarts
26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Legion of Super-Heroes is not your father's DCAU. Here we have another Supergirl origin story where Kara Zor El aka Supergirl already a teenager on Krypton racing her mother and complaining having to babysit her baby cousin Kal El. Then we witness yet again Krypton being destroyed and Kara being rocketed away to save her. But due to a freak accident during the flight she arrives to Earth years later where Kal El grown up as Superman as Kara is still a teenager.

As Supergirl Kara fights Solomon Grundy and destroys buildings in the process. Superman decides for Kara to travel to the 31 Century to train with the Legion of Super-Heroes.

This is where the story falls apart. First off the Legion of Super-Heroes is not Hogwarts of Harry Potter they are their own team. And as of villains Superman's main foe Brainiac is a grotesque version with his descendants grafted on his body with the exception of Brainiac 5. Then there is Mon El who has become from hero to villain.

Apparently the writer has read Harry Potter and borrowed aspects of the series and did not follow the over 60 year old canon of the comics.

Leave It to Beaver: Beaver, the Bunny (1962)
Season 5, Episode 16
2/10
Horrible
8 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Beaver The Bunny was one of the worst episodes of Leave It To Beaver. It is basically a rehash of Season two's School Play where the Beaver was cast as a canary. What makes this episode bad is that the Beaver and his classmates was too old to be in this play which is meant for first or second graders. It is this reason that shows like Leave It To Beaver, Dennis The Menace and The Brady Bunch where most of the child actors outgrown their roles. It is bad enough for the Beaver to be a bunny but was forced to walk to the school in his bunny costume after Lumpy's car breaks down. It was episodes like this which cause a show to die.

Double Standard
6 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Almost a decade earlier you had a husband and Father played by Dylan Walsh who wanted to have another life with a younger woman murders his wife and children and Elliot Stabler was so morally outraged that during interrogation he nearly kills him.

Now fast forward a decade later but this time the family annihilator is a wife and mother which is more repugnant that Olivia Benson can't see that she can kill. In all her years Olivia Benson has seen all kinds of depravity that she still allows her feminist bias come into play. Sasha Alexander does a fantastic job as the family annihilator and almost comes off as sympathetic but she is later found guilty in murdering her husband but not guilty with the deaths of her children cause the jury felt that she had to be insane in murdering her children.

As the story end she commits suicide and dies in prison.

Unbelievable
28 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For over 20 years Law & Order SVU has been doing stories about the transgendered community but when the original Law & Order does it their writers decided to provoke all the hate against them.

A father who refuses to accept his trans daughter and murders the doctor providing his son the puberty blockers without the parents permission. During the trial the son is revealed to be extremely suicidal which causes the District Attorney to plead out to spare the child from testifying.

Wat I find unbelievable is the Doctor's wife who is Republican who hated the deal rightfully so did not want to testify cause she didn't want to upset her voters and is now being primaried by an extreme Republican candidate.

Leave It to Beaver: Party Invitation (1958)
Season 1, Episode 15
9/10
Different Era
13 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Party Invitation was definitely an over the top episode of LITB because it is so against the climate of the 1950's where boys and girls parties is separate and inviting one child of the opposite gender is uncomfortable and painful to the child.

Here we have the Beaver the only boy invited to Linda Dennison's birthday party and clearly June was at fault for not asking the Dennison's for not asking if there will be any boys so the Beaver doesn't feel uncomfortable. I don't blame Ward for getting angry cause he was unaware of the situation. The Dennison's especially Linda's father should have called Ward and June to let them in the party and giving them and out to spare Beaver any embarrassment.

As the party goes on the party goes from bad to worse for the Beaver with him winning a doll. Really Mrs Dennison should at the very least get a boy's toy. Shortly after Beaver finds sanctuary in Mr. Dennison's den where the is guns and the Beaver can have some relief.

When the Beaver gets home and Ward and June is shocked that he had a good time. People are outraged at how guns was predominantly shown and the Beaver was able to handle it. Also inviting one child of the opposite gender is still uncomfortable even at this day of age.

Continuity Problems
10 April 2023
When they did the Walton reunion movies with Richard Thomas returning as John Boy the major problem is continuity. First off the year it started with is 1963 some sixteen years after the other reunion movies ten tears earlier with the retconning of Mary Ellen's son John Curtis and her having two children when she couldn't get anymore pregnant and the disappearance of Ben and Cindy's son.

Now with the final movie John and Olivia is celebrating their 40 anniversary which they married in 1929 which in the series the show is set in the Great Depression and all the children was already was born. The explanation is that the writers at the time wanted to make the movies more up to date.

Poor Mouch.
30 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode would have got a nine or even a ten if not for the joke out of Mouch's expense at the end. Throughout the episode Mouch painfully to replicate a model of a 1972 fire truck for the father of a firefighter who was also a firefighter. Mouch went to great lengths to make the model fire truck perfect even to find a missing small part. Throughout the episode we see Mouch painfully put the fire truck together and he hands it off to the firefighter who then gives it to his daughter who then recklessly plays with it. Mouch departs in sadness and my heart just breaks for him. I know it was suppose to lightened up the episode but the joke falls flat because it is the expense of a great guy.

The problem with Shazam 2
20 March 2023
If you were a comic book fan as long as I am Shazam is supposed to be lighthearted cause he is a grown up superhero with the mind of a young teenage boy which made the first movie enjoyable if you consider all of the current dark DC movies. Shazam also suffers from an unknown roster of supervillains unlike Superman, Batman and the Flash. To focus on ancient goddesses as the villains was a big mistake cause there is no knowledge of them and they belong in a Wonder Woman movie since she represents Greek mythology than Shazam. DC and Warner Brothers would have been wiser in not putting out Black Adam and making him the main villain for the sequel.

Enter the Beaver who expects to be invited but outright Wally tells him he is not invited. Wally is totally in the right cause he is a high school senior and could be one of the last parties that he will have before entering college. Beaver feeling slighted he meets up with his friend Gilbert Bates. Gilbert tells Beaver to sabotage the party with cheap gags which the Beaver does. Wally relents with the encouragement of Ward and June and invites Beaver. At the end the real rat of the episode is the Beaver cause he acted like a baby and not a teenager about to enter high school.

Night Court (2023– )
5/10
Give It Time
12 February 2023
The original Night Court took time to get the cast right especially the actors for defense, and court clerk. I would say bailiff too but both Selma Diamond and Florence Halop was old and wisely went younger with Marsha Warfield. The original Night Court was a great ensemble comedy show.

As for the new Night Court only Melissa Rauch of Big Bang Theory and the return of John Larroquette as Dan Fielding now as defense lawyer is passable. I miss the old Dan Fielding as the lecherous and a weasel DA. As for Melissa I liked that she is the daughter of Harry Stone with always seeing the good in people. The problem with the new Night Court is the rest of the cast and the premise of the show just don't work in modern day. It is afraid to take chances with being afraid in offending anybody. As for bringing back Richard Moll and Marsha Warfield now it would show as desperation.

11 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Without a doubt Eddie Janko Reagan must go. What was once a good character has devolved into an obnoxious character. Eddie had no business in getting personally involved in a murder case and determine that the murderer is innocent cause she was raped. Then she had the audacity to call Erin's ex husband Jack to defend her. In real life Erin would have called Eddie's supervisor and demand she should be harshly reprimanded. Just because Eddie is married to Jamie that she is given free rein. With that said it is getting clearly apparent that the writers made Eddie into an annoying character and Jamko is dead.

Hawkeye and Radar
11 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Fallen Idol was one of the best episodes cause it deals with the close relationship between Hawkeye and Radar. Radar always sees Hawkeye as superhuman and could never fails in his eyes. Hawkeye encourages Radar to go off to Seoul and lose his virginity but on the way Radar gets shot and sent to the 4077 for surgery. Hawkeye operates on Radar then is wrecked with soul crushing guilt. Hawkeye attempts to overcome his guilt by getting so drunk he got sick and could not complete an operation and Winchester had to step in while Hawkeye throws up. Radar finds out about this and he is crushed to see his hero fails. When Hawkeye and Radar meets Radar expresses his disappointment and Hawkeye responds with anger and tells Radar to grow up and he is not here for his hero worship. Although it was awful it was a necessary thing to do cause Radar now sees Hawkeye as human. A fantastic touch at the end where Radar gets a Purple Heart and Hawkeye salutes him.

The Brady Bunch: The Snooperstar (1974)
Season 5, Episode 20

Worst Episode
30 January 2023
Without a doubt The Snooperstar was hands down the worst episode of The Brady Bunch. It was so bad that Susan Olsen aka Cindy Brady hates it and for good reason. The Snooperstar was meant for Cindy to be Shirley Temple during the first and second seasons not when Cindy was almost thirteen years old. Even Shirley Temple was too old to be Shirley Temple when she was in her teens. Sherwood Schwartz and the writers clearly ran out of ideas and how to write for the aging Brady Kids. It was becoming clearly evident that The Brady Bunch was coming to an end with the feud between Sherwood Schwartz and Robert Reed was reaching the boiling point. As for Susan Olsen she was personally embarrassed by the episode.

12 Angry Men (1957)

Guilty Of Manslaughter
16 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First off 12 Angry Men was a great courtroom drama which deals with the post trial and what goes on with the jury deliberations.

With that said the son did kill his father but he was guilty of manslaughter not intentional murder. Despite Henry Fonda aka Juror 8 pleas that someone else murdered the abusive father it does not hold up to logic. To assume that someone else murdered the father it is extremely convenient that the killer had an almost identical murder switchblade as the son. We most also assume that the killer took a big chance that the father would be alone so the killer would bring a gun. I know the other tenants would hear the gunshot but given the neighborhood it would be overlooked. Juror 8 says look at how the father was stabbed. Two problems. One the son was likely unexperienced with the knife or most likely the son was enraged. As for all the other points that was just speculation.

So in closing the son was guilty of manslaughter not murder.

Quantum Leap (2022–2024)

More like Quantum Sleep
14 January 2023
First off reboots are very hard to pull off. Why because they have to get a new audience while trying not to alienate the original fans. This is also extremely difficult if they are rebooting a decades old show like Quantum Leap.

Granted the original Quantum Leap was silly with Scott Bakula donning female clothing in order to pull off the leap. But with that silliness aside the chemistry between Scott and Dean Stockwell was fantastic.

This is the problem with the new Quantum Leap. The show has no heart and the cast has no personality. Raymond Lee as Dr. Ben Song is so stiff that he gives no life as the character he jumps into. As for his partner love interest as the hologram there is no chemistry between them.

As for the return of Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett there is no chance of him returning cause he respects the original show and the death of Dean Stockwell.

M*A*S*H: Margaret's Engagement (1976)
Season 5, Episode 2
8/10
Larry' Exodus
14 January 2023
Margaret's Engagement was a turning point for M*A*S*H. It served two purposes: 1. The coming exodus of Larry Linville. Larry Linville most likely told the producers that he will not resign his contract for more seasons due to the writers did not evolve Frank Burns which caused his final season Frank Burns became sillier than ever.

2. The evolution of Margaret. Loretta Swit most likely campaigned the change of Margaret due to the current climate at the time where female characters was becoming more independent.

As for M*A*S*H it was a transition for the series. It was shredding the early anti war comedy antics into a dramedy dealing with the characters issues.

Beaver Is To Blame
4 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Everybody has a friend like Larry Mondello. Throughout the three seasons he's on Larry always convinces the Beaver to do things that always gets him in trouble but not in a criminal or malicious way. This time is to use a prized possession of Ward a signed baseball. Beaver keeps telling Larry not to use the baseball but at the end they are playing catch with it. Not surprising Beaver misses the catch and the baseball gets destroyed. Larry then takes another baseball and attempts to sign the ballplayers names all the while saying I'm your pal.

When Ward is showing the baseball to Fred Rutherford its obvious the gig was up. Ward was right in punishing the Beaver in order for him to respect other people's property and the Beaver alone is responsible cause he should not be able to be talked into doing something is wrong.
