Judge for yourself!
20 July 2023
I'm actually quite impressed as I went into the theatre after looking at the overall rating and wasn't expecting much.

I doubt I would have seen it if the original creators weren't involved, but I loved how they stayed true to the original story of movies 1 and 2.

Patrick Wilson directing? Yes please! It was really well done for a directing debut and I would love to see more of his horror directing work!

Ty Simpson's acting exceeding all expectations. I really want to see him in more - give him all the chances!

Lots of jump scares, and the camera angles were superb as you're constantly looking in the background. Perfection! I need more of this!

I'm a big Leigh Whannell fan and this didn't disappoint!

Love that they left it open for another as this is one of my favourite horror franchises, but also I'm not too sure on the paint idea? I guess we'll see! *runs hands together*

Cute, watch it for the cast
1 February 2023
Mostly loved this because of this real life couple at the time! How can you go wrong with Justin Long and Drew Barrymore together?

I mean, this CAST!!

Jason Sudeikis! He's just a touch over the top for me, but would hands down watch him in any comedy.

Then add Charlie Day - who I absolutely fell for his sense of humour in Horrible Bosses and came back to watch him in this. He needed to be more himself. Anyone who hires this guy needs to have him write his own jokes.

Hollywood favourite Christina Applegate who has an awesome sense of humour and is absolutely stunning!!

Also, I hadn't hit the Oliver Jackson Cohen stage yet, but it's a bonus he's in this too.

Would watch again if it was on cable.

The plot was too dry, needed more. The actors brought this film to life. Their individual characters made it a six for me.

Very raw and revealing

Some might think it's too honest, but she deserves all the credit for being herself. It's the documentary we need to see a celebrity in their imperfections. And I believe we could really relate her issues to ourselves as well as other celebrities who may not be able to speak about their own, easily. Kudos to her for bringing this all to light. Someone had to. She has balls and we're here for it!

I loved the parts where she talked about her issues, but I loved the parts where she was learning and laughing more. It gave me joy watching her progression. I'm ten years older than her and I look up to her.

Pam & Tommy (2022)

I wanna rate this higher, but I can't

You can tell this is written by men. I know what they were trying to do, but it comes off cold and unemotional. I understood, but didn't feel. If you're going to write the woman's perspective, you gotta get a woman in there.

Watching Pam and Tommy and I just can't believe they didn't ask her permission. I had always wondered, and on the last episode, I looked it up.

What a harsh thing to do to someone else.

I wonder how Lily James feels about this?

Sebastian Stan made Tommy look *good* - and Tommy is not good looking.

Lily James does a wonderful impression of Pam.

Sexy and Suspenseful

I didn't like the ending, otherwise this deserves more than a 5.5 rating, especially when it was based off a writer's book who also wrote The Talented Mr Ripley and Carol! Affleck nails it 100%, and Armas is undoubtedly more than good as she made me hate her! Lol Having Wittrock in it is just the cherry on top as he's also extremely talented! Too bad we couldn't see more of him! The movie has made me want to pick up the book!

I do not scare easily and this one got me. I will not watch again because it was that disturbing. Loved the plots and overall premise, would definitely recommend to a horror lover. Can I talk to the writer about some suggestions on my work? This is exactly what I aspire to be. Bravo.

Can't get much better

There is so much I could say about plot and premise, but we all know that's the mastermind of King. What I will praise of the film (which is difficult because I am a writer), is the rewriter's ability to visualize King's work. It's creepy, it's dimensional, and it makes us invested with the characters. I'm not a big fan of the film The Shining so was hesitant to watch this, but I'm glad I did.

Nailed It

Oliver Jackson-Cohen should be given more credit for his uncanny devilish and creepy characters on screen. I loved this film and everything it represented. I've watched it 3 times since it came out and I pick up on the artistic side more and more. Not only did we get to see a narcissist and abuser which is in itself a horror movie, but we also got to see the horror of never being away from that person. Leigh Whannell really did a hell of a job writing this script and putting his vision on film for us. I've always said the best movies are directed by the writer.

Lots of suspense, no where to go
24 December 2020
Once we've seen the monsters, there's no finale. I felt let down towards the end because the idea of the fear was solidified in the middle of the movie. Maybe I was just hoping for more considering it was a horror. It could have done a lot better by stretching out the ending less and building on the characters more.

I expected so much more
24 December 2020
When you get a cast like this and a director like Rian, you think big. This seemed like a wannabe murder mystery. It didn't have the suspense I expected. The acting was incredible, especially from Evans who I already knew to be very talented and most of the time, overlooked. I liked the premise and plot, and how they didn't release all the twists at once, but it just didn't add up right. I won't watch again and won't recommend.

Came for Hoechlin, stayed for the baseball

What an amazing cast and film. Bravo to Joe to writing and directing this film. And your character was utterly unforgettable! I loved how each player had a story and we had a chance to see all of them up close. I was anxious towards the end of the film. Started off slow for the first 30 mins or so, but worth the wait.

Definitely suspenseful, definitely confusing
24 December 2020
The reveals came late, I was getting impatient close to the end. I'm a Toby Kebbell fan, so I stuck to it through the end. Even though this is a show, I expected more to be wrapped up than what was. It left me with just as many questions as I had answers. Great show, but it could have moved quicker. Wouldn't watch again, will watch the second season.

Honest, Forthright, and Important
20 December 2020
This movie was necessary and it brought together information we need delivered in a creative package. So sad to hear about the chicken farmers and what they go through. People need to know things on chicken farms are not what it was 20 years ago. Thank you for being so honest! I was already a vegetarian, so this solidified it more. Lol

Love this twisted movie!
16 December 2020
I've seen this a few times now and watch it anytime it comes on. Aside from the obvious talented and beautiful Sarah Gadon, the other major actors give this film exactly what it needs... other than a terribly long buildup. The wait is worth it if your brain doesn't get frustrated enough, it's worth the wait at the end of the film. Dark, twisted, and drama-filled.

Plot twist, and another plot twist!
6 December 2020
I thought I knew what was going to happen, but just when I did, another twist got me. Watch until the very end. I hadn't seen any previews, just good reviews on Twitter, so I went for it and wasn't disappointed. This one was a long one, but definitely had me with the first shock happening only 30 mins in. This dark sci-fi thriller has you on the edge of your seat almost right away, trying to solve the puzzle even before the pieces are given to you. Would definitely recommend to someone who loves dark thrillers.

By the end, it had me
26 November 2020
Honestly, it was slow from episodes 1-3 but as soon as 4 hit, I knew I was in. Brilliant acting from the entire cast. I especially love the actress who played Charlotte Wells (bravo), and of course Sarah Paulson. I have a new love for Finn Wittrock. Lol The storylines intertwined nicely with purpose. Every time I questioned something, there was always a reason for it - no stone was left unturned in my opinion. Can't wait for season 2.
