Phillauri (2017)

First Nh10 and now this.."That girl is on fire"

any movie with Anushka Sharma in it,force me to believe that i will have a good time watching that movie. And this belief never disappoints me at all.That girl is a pure gem. Band Baja Baraat,Sultan,Jab Tak Hai Jaan,Nh10(offcourse) and the recent Ae dil hai Mushkil were fantastic movies because these movie had this Talented girl which can blow your mind with some "catchy" expressions and any Complicated term Rajeev Masand would say. I would justify my opinion for why you should watch this movie,without any spoilers. 1. It has a refreshingly talented Starcast 2. It may have a plot inspired from a Hollywood movie,but it has a different storyline. 3. This movie will make you fall in Love with Diljit Dosanjh. 4. The movie has its target on any kind of audience. 5. The performance level of the Cast of this movie is so high that this movie is left with no flaws at all. 9/10 stars for this movie.

Yes, its finally here.The movie i was waiting for so long. first of all,i will like to finally say this thing that after a long leap of time i felt goosebumps watching a Bollywood film.Last time was for "Titli". And it was an Honour to see Mr.Bachchan in such a terrific role. every one was just phenomenal. Piyush Mishra did a good job as well. and those three girls Of course,what a great privilege for them to share screen with the Shehanshah himself.:) The movie will be having a good grip on you through out the Runtime The movie is not "Damini" of modern age. This is a tight slap on all those so called "Sanskari uncles and aunties" that judge girls by what they wear. Every person not just a male,but this is was for every gender. It asks just a single question to the society i.e "WHY" why don't you just let girls do whatever they want to do. At least let them smile or laugh for god sake. please don't just wait for someone to point out some faults in your daughter,sister or mother. If you can worship "female gods" then for god sake just respect the ones you have in your society.

Love Punjab (2016)

So the Punjabi cinema has gone too far with this one..

So when was the last time you saw the brilliance of such kind of cinematography in a Punjabi Movie? Angrez was the last one right? The writer Amberdeep Singh himself is setting a benchmark for more sensible themes.. heights of emotions are executed so beautifully.. and the core of this movie is so honest that you have to laugh knowing that yes!! this is what honesty is.. @amrindergill @sargunmehta yes u both had an equal contribution in maintaining the heart of this one.. more like these works are always welcomed by me.. :) The Punjabi Cinema has gone really too far with this one. apart from unnecessary Jatt jokes the Punjabi Cinema has a great future ahead.. the sensible cinema is on the way to Punjabi film industry..

so last few days,the outrage about this movie being under such circumstances and all.. has finally released..and the movie is so honest.. being a resident of Punjab i can say that yes!! this is Punjab.. Punjabi's are not what Bollywood used to show before doing "bale bale Shava Shava....oh Bhaji oh Bhaji" no its not Punjab.. this is Punjab.. 70% of Punjab's youth consume drugs.. and this is unstoppable off course.. Phantom has done it again.. The creativity of Abhishek Chaubey,Vikrmadatiya Motwane,Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Behl is not the new thing i m amazed with..they are the best Shahid Kapoor-oh my god..what a performer what a dedication..what a choice of role he has made.. Diljit Dosanjh- Sir welcome in Bollywood i knew u gonna rock..superb role..as usual.. Alia Bhatt-a way to go lady..this performance is for decades.. i am her biggest fan After Highway Kareena Kapoor-finally madam a good movie for you to prove yourself that why are you ruling millions of Heart from Years.. A salute to film makers yes.. the environment the movie is set in is disturbing.. People follow the Punjabi singers that talk about drugs and all.. Punjabi singers talk about riffles luxury cars and all.. while in reality the Punjab is all about (Jameen ban jar Te Aulaad Kanjar) god bless Punjab and may the political environment encouraging the drugs soon be out of our "used to be" prosperous state.. :) thanks phantom

why any problem when they show the truth?

Why every time the Americans show the true picture of Indian on a TV show or a Movie.. why the hell every time asses are burnt..when they show the Indian streets full of dumps and dirty wall corners? Every one knows that family guy is famous for showing the society its true face... they show women being avoided in society..yes they are avoided and dis respected by men..common man its an honest show.. I am Indian too..and i was waiting for this episode the right from the start of the season.. yes,i see the Indian streets full of dirt and plastic bags jamming the sewer system.. yes i see the Indian buses full of un hygienic people..with no space too even stand.. yes they dance stupidly in the bollywood movies.. yes,Indians avoid saying "sex" in public but they will make their daughter marry a complete strange person with whom she has to share the bed for the rest of the life whom she doesn't even know.. yes indians demand dowry from the girl's parents.. India has never changed and will never change.. until their are religions and the dignity of women is ignored.. yes Slumdog millionaire too was right about India.. Thanks

TVF please don't go there!!

okay TVF's lovely show is back.. but is it back on the track? since its new season has started..its like an intermission of a thriller movie when the first half has been so grippingly awesome..the viewer expect the second half to be a way more satisfying as the first. The first two episodes of the Second season didn't give me that satisfaction..what "TVF vale" are known for.. Mikesh's character is looking as if he's trying too hard(and i feel sad for this thing happening)...Tanu's character is as sweet as the season first,no doubt!! Mikesh's family is good.. but what has disturbed me the most,is this third episode.. i didn't believe that a TVF's character yelling a dialogue like "Ram-sita to aage..liken Raavan KO Bi Ana padega"... and Mrs.Khatri's character was so annoying that i thought she was trying to become "the joker" of The Dark Knight,talking about society issues just to prove herself right in the eyes of others..but no doubt the lady gave a very good performance..her charm is so powerful..dialogs are as smooth as a condom's lubricant(sorry:D ) but her character according to me,needed a development.. please TVF vaalo...don't be like Y-films' shows.. like Bang baja brat and all...eww i hate shows like them.. don't improve..just be yourself.. please u know what you all are capable of.. i didn't criticize you at all..i am nobody to do that... but if i view..i must review:) :) love you TVF vale:):)

Wazir- First learn to learn things!!

I have waited for many days for this movie to release.. I have also been hearing about this film when it was just written on a paper by Vinod Chopra. and since the i day saw the trailer.It was so gripping with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar playing some serious roles in it. and yes!! Farhan Akhtar cant do anything wrong..he proved this again!! i saw the movie today with very controlled expectations because 2015 was the year of disappointments like Roy and all.. The movie started in a very first shot.. sudden characters introduced..the screenplay,bringing forward the characters and adorable performances by Akhtar and Sir Bachchan.. Amitabh is still one of the most power pack performers in India. 90 minutes of the movie never disappointed me because of the twisted twist in the end!! Surely the movie,as Vidhu Vinod Chopra said earlier that The plot revolves around the rules of the chess..sacrifices,assassinations,authorities and loyalty were its ingredients.. May be Indian audience isn't still prepared for these kind of sharp stories(and i don't expect they will be) Movies like Dilwale and Prdp are regarded as good movies.. and i see no chances Indian Audience gonna improve their perspective for the movies that deserves appreciation and by the way i also have twist in the end for you readers...i.e the title of this review is for Masala movie lovers :) thank you :)

Sikander (2013)

one of few master-pieces in Punjabi Industry!! excellent!!

i am not a big fan of Punjabi movies.I mean they at present,are all about silly comedy over the top punch lines with messy story lines."Ucha Dar babe Nanak DA" and "Chann Pardesi" are two of the few movies i consider as two of the best efforts made in contribution to classic cinema. Sikandar is the third one for me. (don't expect any cheap jokes or over the top comedy from this wonderful movie!!) This kind of movie has never been even attempted due to audience' taste. excellent screenplay,Shaky cameras and the dialogs actually hit me because i live in Punjab too.I live in Malva region.I am familiar to the dialogs like "saade Alia" and "ehnu Koda Hona Kende AA" Definitely inspired by Anurag Kashyap's directorial style(actors not knowing where the camera is) is what is the soul of the movie. How the system controls the hot blood of the Punjabi's and its harm in their lives is well shown by its gripping storyline. Gul Panag gives justice to her role and Kartar Cheema has a pure determined screen presence when he faces the camera. the whole caste and crew did a superb job. The narration by Om Puri to an Indian movie is exactly what the narration by Morgan Freeman to a Hollywood movie is. I apologize for not even writing some of the superb actors because i don't know their name. i am waiting for more works like this from each and every member who contributed to this movie. go for it Master piece!!!
