Cuddle Weather (2019)
Impressed
I'm really impressed with both Sue and RK's acting here. Especially Sue. Beautiful, soothing voice with the song, and great acting.
Perempuan tanah jahanam (2019)
Awful
This movie is so hype in Indonesia, the origin of the maker and cast. Before watching it, I expect it will be really scary like "Pengabdi Setan", which also directed by the same person. Nope! Way awful, and not scary at all. Then I realize why: the story and the script and everything in it. "Pengabdi Setan" was great, because it was a remakw from the previous one (around 1981, if I'm not mistaken). So, it had the template from an already great storyline scary movie. And this one? The writer also the director, which seriously I don't understand why everyone so overhyped with this overrated movie. Gundala (also by the same director) also not that great. I mean, come on! Everyone said he's a living legend in directing. But for me? Awful. Tara and Marissa acting great though. But as a whole movie, means nothing. Weak storyline. Weak DOP. Weak directing. Weak in everything.
Ready Player One (2018)
Book is better
If the movies is original and not adapted from the book, I won't bother to complain here; while I also admire all Spielberg's movies.
There are several missing key stories that not visualized in the movies. I bet it's changed due to the licenses to use "the missing stories" into the movies.
If you never read the book, then read it after watching it. Way much better than the movies, in term of the storylines. You will understand what I mean with "the licenses". I won't spoil them here.
The movies still great. But, too disappointing for me.
Gone Girl (2014)
Awesome plot
I didn't expect so many plots can be told awesomely through visual story. This movies really reflect what relationship and marriage's point of view from men and women.
And I like how they chose the cast for this movies. Men would loved Rosamund Pike, and women would loved to watch Ben Affleck.
I even checked here who the director really is. And found out, David Fincher also directed another several awesome movies I had watched before (Fight Club, Se7en, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Zodiac, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). I didn't realize that before. But now, I will be waiting another movies from him.
