Where's the rest?

I have a feeling there was more to the book and perhaps at one time there was to the movie. Did someone think it was too long, forgetting most people won't see it in a theater, so they can take a break whenever they want...?

The ending is definitely very contrived and not natural to the flow of the movie- which I liked very much.

What a cop out???? The mother & Ruth were 5 min behind? The creators could still have gotten the payoff re Friends finale & had a decent ending.

Almost all the characters were difficult to like- except for both Dads. I wish they had explored why the Mom/Amanda & Ruth were both racist. Perhaps the one Dad was since he wouldn't let the Spanish-speaking lady in the car. The tux wearing, handsome Dad was very easy to like and seemed very intelligent. I loved his character.

I felt tricked by the end- tricked that I'd wasted my time watching the rest! No wonder they never discussed having enough food to last any period of time- they knew they weren't going to need it.

That bunker provided a perfect venue for the rest of the movie. Is there to be a sequel? Is that why the ending was chopped off??? Please enlighten me, filmmakers!!!

1922 (2017)

Horror Genre omitted from Netflix data

I don't like horror movies, thus I do not watch them. So I saw the genre listing on the 'more Info' on Netflix, and I observed Horror wasn't mentioned, despite the fact it was based on a Steven King book.

I found the first part pretty interesting, but the well scene- oh Boy howdy!

Needless to say, I turned off of it and watched no more.

Netflix, please be more careful and mindful of what you put out there. I love your streaming service and enjoy it other than this debacle.

I'm a homebound person due to being sick with Trigeminal Neuralgia, and your service helps to pass the time. I thank you for it and I will look at other sites to verify exactly what it is that I'm watching from now on.

The Marriage App (2022)

Fun movie

So many movies don't have an ending now- they just end in the middle of the story and I hate that. This one had a beginning, middle & an ending. I loved how the couple interacted with each other - it was very realistic. Especially the part where the man says he doesn't communicate very well. My husband said this recently, and also my beastie, who is male. It's very true.

The kids were cute abd although their characters weren't fleshed out as much as other roles, it was fine.

There were some comic members, as well.

This is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I really enjoyed it. Perhaps you'll like it, too.

She is so self-possesses, so self-absorbed. And Mr. Scorsese- what are you laughing at? There is nothing funny here! Only irritating didactic drivel from someone who can't say I have to pre without using her hands. So many other reviewers have said it better, so I'll stop. But 10 min in and I don't think it's going to get any better. Seems like it's just a rehash of a rehash of a rehash. Makes me feel nauseous. And to think, there are so many wonderful programs on Netflix- I'm wondering why I have wasted 10 min of my life on this junk. MHO? Skip this one.

South Mountain (2019)

What a piece of garbage!

Well, that's 92 min I'll never get back. It seems as if we are right in the middle of the movie absolutely-pow- suddenly credits roll. The actors all seem tired; what could have been shot as a beautiful landscape seems tired, the house looks like where someone just moved in - a young person- rather than people who have lived there for a long time. I really despise films where the endings are sudden and there's no clear resolve of anything. Scott Cohen's acting's is great. The wife's character seems a French fry short of a happy meal. I wonder how long after the older daughter leaves do they find her body left swinging from a tree. What a waste!

The One I Love (2014)

It's barely 4 star-worthy.

It's the plot and the characters- basically the writing that I dislike so much. I really don't like movies or shows where reality is eliminated and perhaps that is why I just couldn't get into it. I watched/suffered through the whole thing. I see that some folks loved it, but for me. It wasn't my type of show. YMMV

I loved this show! So much! I was just so disappointed when it ended after only 3 episodes! Broke my heart! Such a good mini-series!
