Love this show!
9 March 2014
It is so refreshing to see a wholesome, quality show on the air. This show is reminiscent of the "Little House On The Prairie" days - not surprising given who's involved in bringing it to us!

This is one of those shows that appeals to all age groups; it's one that the family can sit down and watch together. It's great to finally have one of those again.

The cast and crew of this show is superb. The show is very well done and is set in a gorgeous location.

I cannot recommend this show enough and hope that its success in Season One means that more Seasons are coming.

This is one of those shows that I will be purchasing when it comes out on DVD/Blueray. It's one that I want in my collection.

Complete waste of money
17 December 2008
I thought this one had promise.

Yet, I almost walked out in the first 15 minutes to ask for my money back. Unfortunately, I stayed until the end.

This movie was not funny at all. It had bad acting (from people who really should have known better and who, in other films, actually show that they do have some talent - you wonder why they even wanted to associate themselves with this one). It was a waste of my time and money.

I was really hoping for a good Christmas movie to get in the mood for the holidays. This one wasn't it.

What a delightful movie!
2 December 2008
I just happened upon this movie last night on TV. And, I was pleasantly delighted by it. It was a nice, wholesome film that also had a great lesson in history. We're taught history in school, but what I've always enjoyed is knowing the "real life" parts of what happened. What were people doing at that time? What were their pastimes? How did they dress? How did they interact with each other on a daily basis? This movie was an example of that. It took a key time in American history (right before Revolutionary War) and explored the day-to-day lives of a family. That's what I love to know about.

I loved that this was a movie that the whole family could enjoy together. It's a refreshing change from what we usually see on TV and in the movies.

Please, Hollywood! More of these types of films! There IS a market for it out here!
