Breaking Point: The War for Democracy in Ukraine (2017)
A MUST SEE
The film is not just about one country's seemingly eternal battle with a stronger enemy, but a battle for liberty, independence, autonomy, and enfranchisement.
When the superior force surrounds you and claims your body and soul for its Empire building, it feels like a never ending quest. Worse still is that the cancer also grows from within, when former masters sowed seeds of cancerous elements and discord into all facets of Ukrainian daily life. Russia will never stop it's ambitions until every Ukrainian is under their thumbs.
Risen (2016)
Pure garbage
Actors completely "wooden" and without any feeling at all for the subject matter at hand. I have to blame Sony Pictures for putting out this type of movies that are without any real acting, without sensibilities, and without any technical capabilities. One cannot make out any vocalization whatsoever; and without subtitles, it's simple torture to watch this film. I did not see any portrayal of feelings, emotions, or passion throughout the first hour of the film. It was so bad that I had to shut it off and save myself the pain and anguish to watch any further. The director should be shouted out of the film industry and the actors should go back to acting school. The whole thing was a mess. But most of all, I have to blame Sony for playing on the emotions and faiths of potential viewers with their new film division that produces this type of nonsense. The subject matter is too important to too many people to be tread upon by the Sony tycoons who don't appear to have any sensibilities.
The Intern (2015)
One of the worst and longest agonizing movies ever
I watched the whole thing! My bad. I was hoping it would get better at some point but it just dragged on and on and on endlessly. Robert DeNiro deserves the worst actor category of 2015 and Hathaway is not far behind. However watching DeNiro is just embarrassing. Having gone from one of the best actors in film to possibly the worst is just hard for a movie fan to take. Can't he just retire with some dignity? Does he have to made a fool of himself with all the trash he appears in lately? Does he need money that badly? We should all have a charity fund for him rather than watch him become a grade "B" (no make that a grade "F") actor. It's hard to watch!
