The Patient (2022)
Sort of a waste
This could've been a fantastic mini-series with it's great actors and a thrilling storyline. Each episode is less than 30-minute long so it's hard to really get into it, aside from that though the story hardly progresses at all...I find myself hardly paying attention at times when watching because it can be so slow. Most of the recent episodes center around Steve Carrell's character rehashing old family drama with his deceased therapist / friend that he's yet to come to terms with...and nothing else happens during some of the episodes. If anything this could've been a mediocre movie instead of dragging it week to week in short segments.
Them (2021)
Hard to watch
I give this a 6.5/10 rating; the show has all the makings of a fantastic horror series, great storyline and directing, amazing actors, beautiful cinematography-- however most of the villainous characters aren't sinister, they're just horrible people. I would've liked more thrills & scares instead of seeing how awful people were to them. Very tough watch, otherwise I think the writers and director did an awesome job.
Cruel Summer (2021)
C'mon, I've seen better acting in daytime Soaps
I had difficulty holding my laughter in at certain scenes of this show. (It's not supposed to be a comedy.) who rated this so highly? ...And what are you basing it off of?
The Blackwell Ghost 2 (2018)
Genuinely terrifying
I'm completely frozen in fear after watching this! No special effects needed, the moments of silence and stillness perfectly capture what it'd feel like being in his position! Can't wait to finish these movies. I'd definitely recommend for any paranormal film enthusiast.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)
A willing candidate for an Exorcism?
I've never witnessed an exorcism performed in a movie where the demon-possessed person was a willing participant. Couldn't she have ran away at any give point during the barn scene? All obvious aspects aside, Jennifer Carpenter made an awesome Emily Rose.
Channel Zero: Welcome Home (2016)
Season 1 Review - Candle Cove
Just completed S1 of Channel Zero- so far I've found the momentum to be way too slow for any quality scares to happen. This story could have been completed in 3 episodes or less; Hopefully the next season starts to pick up.
Mosaic (2018)
A Whodunnit that fails to deliver
When the credits started rolling after the last episode, I thought it might've been a mistake. The entire series was a build-up of unanswered questions and suspicions *SPOILERS* =
Who was Cameron? What was Laura doing with another man? Where was Joel between 9:45-11:45 the night of NYE? What was the significance of the 4-arrow symbol Petra saw? I could go on. This was the most frustrated and unsatisfied I've ever felt watching a TV show.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
One of the best movies I've ever seen.
I can't say enough good things about this movie. The acting is phenomenal; Leonardo DiCaprio is without a doubt the best actor of our time
Shocking, funny - I've never been more entertained watching a film in my life.
