There's A Ghost in the Bathroom (2021)
A fun, and funny, ghost short
I love ghost stories so I had to check this one out. I expected some spooky little happenings in the bathroom but to my pleasant surprise, the ghost reveals himself early on. It was funnier than I expected, with some great banter between the two characters sharing a moment in the bathroom. Impressive visual effects combined with great comedic acting making this a really fun short, and worth checking out.
The Witches of Bushwick (2020)
Amazing short!
I just watched this as a part of the Shockfest film festival, and I was blown away by the production value. Living in the Witch City (Salem, MA) I had to check it out based on the title, but was immediately hooked. The actresses were charismatic, the story was interesting, and the cinematography was fantastic. It was like watching a stripped down horror feature, but keeping the good stuff and getting rid of the fluff. The idea of "real" versus "fake" witches is a source of fascination for me personally, but I'd recommend this to anyone interested in supernatural horror. Really impressive and looking forward to seeing more from this team.
Stray (2019)
Not your ordinary short- Stray is great!
Stray is a great short that succeeds on many levels. I didn't know anything about the story before watching it, and I'll stay away from spoilers, but I will say that it grabs your attention from the opening minute. As the story unfolded, I was impressed primarily by the outstanding production value. It looks, sounds, and feels fantastic. Combine that with some great acting and you've got a top-notch short that does justice to its story, and competes with a half-hour TV drama. I enjoyed it from start to finish and definitely recommend checking it out.
