Lie Exposed (2019)

This film tries too hard

Is it just me or do all the other reviews sound like they were written By the same source? LoL That feels sad to me. On to my review. This is a case of a Screenwriters words sounding better in his head than they do being said by real people - real people don't talk like this. Though its ambition is to seem raw, deep and thought provoking it comes across as shallow, laughable at times and so awkward I had to turn away from second hand embarrassment. I would skip this movie.

I get second hand embarrassment

This show is so awkward to watch without Roseanne... for one thing it's tough to watch the cast knowing how quickly they backstabbed Roseanne - who had supported them through all the years and was responsible for most of their careers, but personal opinions about the Roseanne situation aside, it's just a weird, boring show. It would have been cancelled after the first season if ABC wasn't trying to stick it to Rosie.

Requires lobotomy to enjoy
4 May 2020
My hubby decided to watch this movie so I did too and it was appallingly bad. I would be mortified if I was the actors having to act that out... of course I'd recover by the time it was payday but still...

It's one thing to suspend your belief while watching a movie, while it's another to require a lobotomy to enjoy the drivel they churn out nowadays. From huge plot holes, to terrible character reactions to this after school special sappy ending, this was a mess.

Janis deserves better

This documentary takes another little piece of her heart - and not in a good way! The members of Big Brother Band seem like sour grapes and over-use the term "family".. get over it guys. Over all a very slanted documentary. She deserves better than this slop

Wow .. This movie was half way through when I turned on my tv to fold my laundry and clean my room. At first it was just random background noise... until I stopped to watch it because it was so intriguing .. not intriguing good.. I mean it was soooooooo horrible that these actors must criiiinge at the thought of it.

Over rated but not bad

Warning: Spoilers
Through all the hype, build up and awards won, and including a trailer that implied more action (even on a smaller level), I was underwhelmed with this film. Being a big fan of all the ladies cast, as well as Colin, I was hopeful that fact at least would be enough to keep me entertain, but I found it over-acted in the wrong areas with a slow moving and boring climax. With a re-imagining, this could have been a suspenseful and exciting southern Gothic. Instead it was a sneeze with a few unintentional laughs (When the young girl goes to tie the blue ribbon around the gate and suddenly Colin is there, hobbling on one leg but faster than ever I had to LOL) Not sure why this film was so celebrated, and its definitely not bad, but its not that great either.
