The Pad (and How to Use It) (1966)
Not a Comedy so Misclassified by IMDB
I too saw this movie on television, over 50 years ago, and never since.
But it had such a profound impact on me that I have never forgotten it. Even though I have transitioned from the typical teenage somewhat nerdy boy to a grandfather. I know I was in tears as the final scene ran.
But I guess neither complimenting nor recommending this film has much purpose if it is no longer available to be viewed.
Columbus (2017)
Cannot be recommended
This was by far the least enjoyable movie I have seen in recent memory. Which was also the conclusion of my wife and our two companions. As one of us said at the end, "Who do I call to get my two hours back?"
I love architecture and am familiar with the reputation of Columbus, Indiana -- but the director's interminable shots of its landmarks were repetitive and uninspired. And that was the movie's most interesting element!
We saw this at the Landmark theaters in Los Angeles, and noted a number of patrons walking out it the middle.
