Warrior (2019)
Captures all range of human emotions
I have watched 30 web series but this one is the best one. A must-watch series for those who love action and good storywriting. The character build-ups are top-notch. The dialogue writer should get a bonus. The sound quality is nice. The title song gives goosebumps. Because there are so many nude scenes, when I watched the first episode, I thought it was based on the writings of Johny Sins and not Bruce Lee. But eventually I understand that they help buildup chemistry between characters. The only thing that could have been improved is the fight choreography. The main character uses wing chun only in the first episode, though Bruce Less's famous one-inch punch can be seen later. I have watched all episodes and now I don't know what to do with my life. Hello makers, if you are reading this, please kindly work on the next season. 🙏
The Karate Kid (2010)
A Good remake with flaws
The main character Dre is too young to play the role, to romance, to fight and to be hard trained and to be bullied. Although, the actor has done his best. He seems too young for this film. Jackie Chan is the ultimate thing about this film. The kissing scene was unwarranted and looked very awkward on the immature character.
Cobra Kai (2018)
Perfection of Story Writing, First ever real world martial arts movie
Though I have seen almost all martial arts movies still I couldn't predict the next scene of the movie. I felt like Christopher Nolan was directing this. Unlike all other martial arts movies, this movie tells us that in the real world no one is pure good or pure evil. Everyone is struggling with his bad decisions, like Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. We all make bad decisions but it shouldn't influence our present decisions. The high school love of confused hearts is wonderfully portrayed. The casting is perfect. Sam is the most beautiful girl in any martial arts movie ever. Every martial artist would have struggled to balance his martial arts with personal life, as Daniel LaRusso. I guess we all would have made some bad decisions as Johnny Lawrence. I guess we all have let down our lovers at some point as Miguel Diaz. Johnny Lawrence steals the show with his eyes. he put tears in my eyes in the 20th episode. Johnny didn't have the luxury of having a great sensai like Miyagi but still, he is at par with LaRusso. The fighting scenes are good if not brilliant, but the story is the cherry on the cake. Not just martial arts lovers, this series is for everyone. There are so many martial arts movies with better fight scenes, but either their story scenes are stupid at times or they don't make you laugh, but this movie does. I am mistakenly calling it a movie because I watched 4 episodes daily for five days. It wouldn't be an exaggeration of words if I say that this movie has changed the way I look at life. I regret that I watched this series loo late (November 2020), but it is a good thing in the way that I wouldn't have to wait for the third season as much as others. Am I the only one who thinks that this series is better than even the original movie? If yes, please click helpful link below.
Lucy (2014)
Deserves more rating than it has (must read)
This movie has been a rollercoaster ride for me. It was not just Lucy alone who was experiencing what happens when your brain usage increases. We, as viewers were equally thrilled as if it is happening with us. Anyone who is giving a lower rating to this movie needs to understand that this is an SCI-FIC movie in which SCI stands for Science and FI stands for fiction, which means Fiction in the field of science and technology, So stop complaining that the movie is untrue since we know it already. Nobody knows what happens when you use your brain at better levels because no one ever has. So in the end, it is just the moviewriters' imagination that what would happen if someone reaches that level. What you are guys comparing this movie with? Because there is no Lucy in the real life. Some people wanted Lucy to take advantage of her condition and do more superheroes kind of silly stuff, but probably the director didn't want a superhero movie, but just a science fiction movie which tries to wake you up out of your daily life routine of waking - eating - job - sex - sleeping and to do more with your life. I pity those reviewers who rejected this movie because it is impossible but jumped off their feet when Captain America wield Mjölnir. These reviewers are the reason I didn't watch this mind-blowing movie in the last 6 years but I'm glad at the end I did. Of course, the movie could have many possible ending but to be honest, when you are truly awakened, you are hardly destructive but at eternal peace. Scarlett did a good performance. Innocent in the first half-hour and unstoppable in the rest of the movie. The character matched her commanding yet innocent face. Plus she is beautiful. It is a must-watch movie. Go with it.
The Martian (2015)
A Space movie which is not about space but Humanity
This motivational movie is all about the human's spirit of never giving up. It also reminds us that human life is precious which we often forget in our daily routines. This movie is not just for space science lovers but for everyone who wants to take a rollercoster ride on human ability turning failures into the success. We do neglect plants and air back on earth but the Mars reminds us that they are the base of our existence! The movie is surprisingly funny, emotional and it makes you jump and clap for the scientists who works hard 24x7 to add new pages to our science books.
Extraction (2020)
A must watch if you love action movies
The shooting scenes and hand to hand combat scenes are extra ordinary and at par with John wick series. Credit goes to the Chris that he shown mercy and didn't use his hammer on these mortals.
Chris and Randeep have played their roles with perfection and they are quite a match for each other. The roles were very physically demanding.
Some people have criticized the movie for over-violence which is pretty stupid because the movie is based on fighting the men of a drug mafia. Then what were you expecting? Flowers exchange? lol
The Indian boy brings emotions to the movie. Without emotions, action sequences would be nothing more than a shooting game.
Raaz (2002)
Can't be any better horror + music fusion than this (must read)
Watched this movie 18 years ago as a school boy, but watched it again yesterday to relive its movements. Though plot-wise the movie is inspired from some another movie, the music gives this movie an unique identity. This movie is surely in top 5 best Bollywood musical movies ever with Aashiqui 1, Aashiqui 2, Tere naam, Hum aapke hain koun and Dilwale Dulhaniya le jaayenge.
The movie is technically sound as well, for example Malini wanted Aaditiya to reveal their relation to his wife Sanjana but Aaditya clearly refused. The sole purpose of Malini to kill herself was to put her relation into the knowledge of Sanjana. Thatswhy she never tried to kill Sanjana in the whole movie (except climax when Sanjana was trying to burn her body). Robert was killed by Malini because he helped Aaditya to dispose her body which she wanted to be found by Sanjana. There is hardly any point where plot can be criticized. Solid plot was the reason movie did so well.
Dino seems charming. Bipasha's performance was good except on some places where she over acted (due to Bollywood culture). Ashutosh Rana performed brilliantly with his scary runs at the climax. Malini Sharma was seductive as hell. Too bad she left the Bollywood with such a great start.
This movie has the longest flashback ever (including a literally 5+ minutes long song) but you don't regret because it was Malini's turn to take over your screen.
The Songs are well placed in the movie as the story progresses, Every song is a masterpiece, no wonder they are still played in the Indian weddings."Aapke pyar mein" is an epic song which is all about the psychological satisfaction a woman (who has never been loved her whole life) gets after falling in love with someone.
The movie is must watch, if you love genuine horror, mystery, raw love and soothing music. Though I don't like Mahesh Bhatt as a person but Bhatt camp has done a terrific job for producing this masterpiece.
Junglee (2019)
Must watch if you love animals & martial arts or Vidyut!
Before watching the movie I thought it would be a Bollywood version of Tom Yum Goong, but apart from the event of the death of the hero's father by the hands of poachers, nothing is similar to Tom Yum Goong. The movie has some strong emotional moments. The action is better than 99% Bollywood movies. Though I'm an atheist but I liked the way movie shown Lord Ganesha because after all its part of our culture! First half tries to build the atmosphere for revenge and the second part doesn't disappoints you.
Now coming to things I disliked. First of all directors need to understand that he can make a Bollywood movie without an actress which seems irrelevant in the whole movie. You don't expect a forest girl to wear that kind of make up with conditioned straight hair. Simply, girls doesn't seem to belong with the movie. Learn these things from Hollywood and other industries. Below average romantic comedy doesn't get mixed well with the intense marital arts movie.
Kabir Singh (2019)
Must Watch if you want to closely observe the insanity of love
The pro features of this movie are the timing of the scores to the perfection, the rawness of the character of a male who has got anger management issues, Shahid's mental adaption of the character, the simple storytelling, the sharp contrast between the nature of Kabir & Preeti, who still fall in love with each other.
Justice League (2017)
Wasted Potential
You think this movie has some of greatest superhero characters i.e. Wonder woman, Aqua-man, Superman, Batman, Flash, Cyborg so this movie would be amazing but you are wrong. You couldn't make a worse movie having all these characters. I think this movie was made in hurry to tackle the Marvel Juggernaut. Audience doesn't get connected to all characters ( and playing actors) because you have not given the origin movies yet of all of them.
Superman got a hood ashwhooping in Batman vs Superman by the hands of Batman and Dooms' day So this movie tried to compensate it at the cost of naatural chemistry between characters. This movie shown that a team member (Superman) is above than the entire team, which was a very wrong message, and also kills the basic idea of formation of Justice league. The Superman wakes from death and beats the rest of the entire team?? Flash was just running away from him. Batman was just hanging like a useless ordinary human in the hands of superman. Cyborg and Aquaman were totally useless. Only wonderwoman tried to do something. In the Climax the only character I could see was Superman again. He was beating the main villain Steppenwolf with Wonder woman, meanwhile he was also saving people with Flash, Meanwhile he was also helping Cyborg with the Cube, Meanwhile he was also beating the goons of Steppenwolf with batman. Actually this was a Superman movie, which featured some other characters as well.
The only thing the Great Flash did in this movie was to- push a jammed car. That was his role. Thats it.
DC, Learn something from Marvel.
2.0 (2018)
Poor Convincing Story
The move fails on all anticipations. Poor un-digestable mixture of Science & Ghosts. The movie is 2.0 but Chitti version 3.0 jumps in bulk number. Chitti's battery never lasts a fight, and stolen mobiles' battery never needs to charge! Chitti can lift a truck so he can easily carry one luminous home battery with him. Isn't? OR Maybe he should contact Xiaomi for a bigger mAh battery! In the over stretched climax, it seems that Chitti is villain and PakshiRaj is the victim as Chitti blackmails him to kill thousands of innocent pigeons! The only thing which looks convincing is Akshay's past. We do get connected with it. CGI is good, but action scenes are poorly choreographed. But I don't want just CGI, I want story. Cant see it again! Wasted my time!
Baaghi (2016)
A new thing for Indian Movies.
The main thing to discuss the movies is the action scenes. The movie borrows action scenes from the Western and Hongkong Movies. Some actions are tried to perform as it is from the movies like Tom Yum Goom, Ip Man, The raid redemption and Onk Bak, though are poorly choreographed. The problem with Indian action movies is the use of slow motion effect too much. There was hardly any punch which was not shown with slow motion. Putting everything on slow motion takes the naturality of action away. Good choreographed action scene need not to be put on slow motion all the time. The same thing happened in the movie ABCD-2, where I wasn't able to watch the climax dancing moves because of too much video effects of lighting. I hardly grasped anything. Bollywood needs to learn that thing from Hollywood- Rely on the skills of actor/director rather than of video editor. Tiger Shroff is a beauty- A complete star. His skills are so perfect. Comedy is too childish, I didn't laugh more than once or maybe twice. Shraddha is developing herself by rapid speed. Her dance is too good. She still has got innocence like a debuting actress. Though her action scenes were needless according to the movie script.
This movie was below than what I was expected. Maybe because I watch too much Hollywood action movies. Action- 6.5/10 Comedy- 2/10 Romance- 3/10
Love you Shraddha & Tiger.
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Everything perfect, except the faulty storyline
2.5/2.5 for action, 2/2.5 for performances, 2/2.5 for screenplay, 0.5/2.5 for story. Leaving the good things, and talking about the two big holes in the story, (A) Repetitive climaxes In Spiderman 1, Mary Jane kidnapped by villain in Climax. In Spiderman 2, Mary Jane kidnapped by villain in Climax. In Spiderman 3, Mary Jane kidnapped by villain in Climax. Every time the expected climax, Mary Jane will be kidnapped and Spiderman will start the rescue.
(The extraterrestrial symbiote had no respect in this movie. In the movie, it is shown that Peter removes the extraterrestrial symbiote costume with ease, (just like we remove our clothes) and puts the costume in the cabinet. Then why it was hard for Peter to get rid of symbiote in later parts of the movie? Why symbiote accepts to wait (without knowing for how much time) in the cabinet for Peter so it could be worn by him again? The powers of extraterrestrial symbiote was unclear throughout the movie. In Cartoons the concept was so right. The symbiote never left Peter's body until it was force to leave by Rocket launch vibrations. The symbiote could turn into normal clothing by the will of Peter anytime so Peter didn't had to wear or remove it again and again. It became inseparable part of his body. The concept was so clear in cartoons but the movie ruined it. The symbiote had no respect at all.
