A different side of Wes than we're used to
28 June 2023
The same elements apply in this film. Same vibe as his other films w the visually pleasing cinematography. The camera angles are a lot more smooth and symmetrical than usual. The stills and color juxtaposition from black and white to colour stood out as opposed to moonrise kingdom. The dryness of the comedic lines are always appreciated in the dialogue. The beginning story line had a lot more meaning than most other films. Brings a sense of humanness as opposed to the robot like emotions of his other main characters. However, this film really doesn't pinpoint who really is the main character and I loved that. It allowed the ensemble of the cast really bring their own substance. A totally unironic move than what we're used to. Whatever train Wes is on w this film. I love to see the destination. All in all, I loved it.

Now that's how you end a series.
21 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this season. It didn't leave anything out. I loved how this season was not rushed, it was well thought out. How it gave us the how it could've been, the future. It could've ended w her at Gordon's show. But no. Joel may have been Midge's love of her life, but Susie was her soulmate. My fave episode was Susie's roast. The writing was EXCELLENT and Alex's performance was the best of her career. She deserves every single award for that episode alone. The only thing is Lenny's ending. It doesn't tell us what happened to him. Although, a quick google can tell u. Judging by the drugs and his last performance, the viewer can surmise. This series, the writing, performances from the whole cast, set production are the Sherman-Palladinios best. The very best they have ever done. I loved all the cameos from GG. I'm glad they learned their lesson from GG because that show especially the ending, the characters (except Emily) and the writing was atrocious. This cast ensemble was better suited, better quality and can ping pong w each other's characters much better. I chalk up to experience. This series finale was worth the wait and I savored every morsel of these delicious meaty quality filled episodes. A one of a kind show that will go down in history. Put that on your plate!!

Warning: Spoilers
Absolutely masterpiece of an episode. I was confused at first, but as the episode went on I started to put the pieces together. Magical storytelling from the script to the cinematography. The house is magnificently structured and purposeful. It is surprisingly my favorite episode of the series that has absolutely nothing to do with the main characters. The ghosts have come back to haunt them. The performances from the two main characters to Zev to the rest of the ensemble were sublime. The ending of the episode was just the cherry on top to what Zev tells Hitler on the boat. He comes like Chiron to deliver him to Hades.

Ridiculously entertaining

Absolutely loved this side of O'Russell. It's a cornucopia of different flavours of genres. Comedy, murder mystery, historical aspects and culture. The heartwarming friendship between the trio is hopeful and endearing. I loved the performances, especially Bale's. The cinematography, sets, and costumes were top notch. Great job at casting the characters in the film. Anya, DiNiro, Washington, and Rami Malik were an excellent choice for the film. Amazing ensemble all around. It was rollercoaster of events that kept me on the edge of my seat. These are the type of films that grab my attention and love to watch.

It's about damn time

Warning: Spoilers
I've waited the whole series for this ending. I expected more, but I'm satisfied nonetheless. I loved the change of scenery. The plot was a little too Indiana Jonsey, but it's expected for the time setting for England. I hope there's another film. I wish there was more Dot, Cec, Bert, Hugh and Mr. Butler.

I honestly thought that was the end for Miss Fisher and Jack. The new characters were bland and were missing the Miss Fisher's je ne sais qoui to it. Still. It was good. I don't understand the negativity. The series should continue. 3 seasons are not enough for me. If you like Miss Fisher. Then you will love Agatha Raisin.

I am not a fan of action films, but this was such a fun movie. Action packed from start to finish. You fall in love w the characters. Absolutely hilarious. Has Tarantino feel to it, but much better. Actually gonna take my family to see it. Highly recommend. Haven't seen a movie that I loved from beginning to end in a long time. Great job w the casting, directing and production. Story lines weren't cheesy, but endearing and unpredictable. Surprises at every turn. Didn't wanna go to the bathroom out of fear to miss a beat.

The Gray Men indeed

I am not one for action films, but I loved this one. Russo brothers took ingredients from the only action films I'll actually watch like Bond and Wick n made a delicious dish of humor, effects, guns, bombs, and loveable characters. Even Chris' mustache has humour. Loved the characters from Chris' sarcasm to Ryan's good man who goes bad things to Ana kicking ass thru the whole film. Can't wait for the sequel.

Such a splendid and moving episode. Wonderful portrayal on my favorite artist. Heartbreakingly beautiful. When Van Gogh visits the gallery just broke me. I really wished he could see how much he really is one of the most beloved painters and one of if not THE greatest painter of all time. We can see his world through his eyes w his gorgeous command of colour. Absolutely enjoyed this episode. Gorgeously written. Splendid performances.

My fave of S5 so far. One of the funniest. Loved it. Seeing the old ppl wreak havoc was amusing. The plot is something new and kept me guessing which was reality. The chemistry is great between the 3. Matt Smith is different from other doctors and idk if it's a good or bad thing yet, but I do enjoy him.

Warning: Spoilers
Haven't seen an episode like this in a while. The gut wrenching scene between Sam and Rowena and the heartbreaking scene between Castiel having to kill Belphagor/Jack n the goodbye exchange between Cass n Dean was painful to watch. This type of episode is like a season finale type and it's only the beginning of the end. Off to an amazing start boys.

Lucy! I'm back!!!!

Lucifer is one of my fave characters because of Mark's Golden performance. I've seen a lot of Lucifer portrayals, but he is by far the best. He can do no wrong. Who would've thought the day when I would be cheering on the devil himself.

Here comes Death!
25 July 2021
That epic entrance to "Oh Death" was just chef's kiss. Julian plays such a complex and rich character. Next to Crowley, he happens to be my fave. If only he had more screen time. That pizza scene was something unexpected for someone who is the Death horseman.

One of the best episodes and so underrated of the season. Different plots to the story of the episode tied in perfectly. Excellent writing and acting from the 3. The scene we get to see Jensen's vulnerability and pain. He is such a diverse actor.

Jay shines and moves me to tears one minute from laughing to crying from emotion. One actor that truly masters the range of acting. JTF in one scene that allows him to act outside of his character's normal self really hit a home run.

Folklore mockery
22 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I expected more from the creators of the conjuring. La Llorona is a Mexican folklore that has scared children for generations and unfortunately this film didn't live up to the hype that mothers would scare their children with. Linda is such a great actress, but from the kids to even La Llorona herself was predictable, underwhelming and not at all scary. It had some suspenseful moments, but more cheesy. Ex. The spinning egg. It's supposed to be cracked in a glass of water to reveal the shape of the egg whites and the yolk. The timeline at the beginning is way off. The real story originated during the 1800s not the 1600s. The story was just down right lazy. Do better research next time.

Any episode with Death you know it's gonna be a good one. Julian is superb if not one of my fave characters besides Lucifer and Crowley. Even though his screen time is brief. His performance always makes an impact. One of the most important characters of the series in my opinion.
