I don't leave reviews at all but felt this was a necessary film to do so for. Overall I gave it an 7.5(3 of 4 stars) which may be higher than most will give. However, the reason I'm doing so is because I know if I saw this in a theater as I normally would have, the visuals would've made my viewing experience THAT much better. Yes, good films play well on any screen but that doesn't take away from what the "Cinematic Experience" is truly supposed to be. I could go thru a list(Dunkirk, Guardians of the Galaxy 1-3, 1917, Hereditary) all as recent examples of films that were a much more enjoyable/terrifying experience in the Cinema. I still love each of those films, 'Hereditary' being a modern horror masterpiece IMO, but even on a very large 4K TV just arent quite the same. Some films, especially of certain genres(This being one of them), are meant to be watched in it's necessary format. 'Dunkirk' in IMAX was ideal. I know 'WW84' would've been better had I been able to see it in IMAX as well. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury due to Covid. Still, politics aside, this was a very enjoyable film. I don't believe in spoilers, therefore I'll say its 3 of 4 stars. If you can see it on the big screen, I highly suggest it. We need our theaters back!
