The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez (2020)
People can make me sick
This documentary it's not just a normal tv series, it's much more! It's something that tell us how vulnerable childrens are! How much of responsibility we have for all the kids around us, even the ones we never know or meat.
After seeing what a mother, a woman, and a man, can do to such a fragile human being, I now know that people can make me sick!
This documentary is very well made, and craft! Top star quality for Mr. Brian Knappenberger, a great director! All the pieces are well connected, and in any point you feel too much dramatize for the easy teardrop! You can see a lot of intelligence in the way the production team built all the episodes in order to let you hook in order to understand completely what happened in this story. Although you know from the beginning how terrible all this was, you see the show with a feel of surprise and always almost believing that everything will be ok for Gabriel.
Gabrielito was a kind kid! And I feel sorry for the existence of this documentary!
Blue Eye Samurai: Peculiarities (2023)
What a beautiful episode from such a beautiful show!
*SPOLIERS*
I have to be honest when I say that I was avoiding BES for the past few days, without any specific reason. And what a stupid I was! All the show is something very incredible and unique!
It grows on you, and keep on growing the more you see, and when you reach the 4th episode of this samurai tale, than you understand how deep Mizo character is, and what will need to take to get her revenge. There's no rules for her sacrifice, or for what she needs to do in order to fulfill her promise...
I will have to assume that the final part of this episode, when Mizu goes to take the life of the little Kinuyo in exchange of some informations regarding Fowler's castle, is probably one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have ever saw on an animation piece of cinema! The blind, non-stop sequence entering the building, on the roof, the bird situation, and the intelligent strategy that takes the samurai to the girls room, only to deceive her one more time just before breaking her neck, really makes you think on how much of a hero or how much of a villain Mizu really is! Everything in this episode is perfect, but this final minutes, with a beautiful music piece from Amie Doherty "Kinuyo's promise fuldilled", makes it next level and put a legendary status on such a young show!
Thank you.
The Last of Us (2023)
A "small-huge" Masterpiece
I am a fan of the game, since I've played Back in 2015. Só, I was eager to watch the show, and waited for the premiere with high expectetions! First episode was great, and you could see that this show come to stay, and make a name of it self. The second was a perfect connection since we need a launching ramp for the what the show would become, and didn't disapoint! Then come the third episode... and what a small, HUGE masterpiece it was! I dare to say is one of the most emotional and strong tv shows episodes ever made! When it finished, you have that feeling of watching a great movie, and let you stay there, watching the end credits roll by... I think was a perfect move from the creators of the show to give this emotional touch to the show, showing people that this is not just another zombie show! And they did it! That final shot of the famous Bill blue truck, with a zoom out from the bedroom window, listing to the amazing Linda Ronstadt gives you chills. A final for the ages, and what a moment to remember.
The Reckoning (2020)
What is this?
This is, by far, one of the worsts movies I've ever see. The actress Charlotte Kirk is no good for this business, and they were even able to destroy a simple, very easy, story! Bad, bad movie...
