Large Disappointment
17 May 2015
Madoka Magica was, and still is, one of my favorite Anime series. The show had amazing animation, great soundtracks, action, emotion, and a great amount of character development.

Knowing the first two movies were a review of the show, I was intrigued to see what the third movie would have to offer, given the ending from the original series/duo-logy was one of the most powerful of any show I had ever seen.

This movie in my opinion was a huge letdown. The beginning had many aspects I enjoyed from the original series, but as the movie progressed I could sense it struggling to keep the balance of its characters, and flowing as the first two movies did. The movie seemed choppy and I struggled to connect in the same way as I did with the original series.

If you are content with giving up on the touching experience from the first two movies, feel free to ride a less emotional, confusing, and character altering experience. This movie lacked many of the qualities that kept me watching the original series, and overall left a sour taste in my mouth. Besides a scene here and there, I contemplated turning it of numerous times.

As a huge fan, the artwork is still wonderful, the music is great, and the action scenes are thrilling. however, if the emotional ride, the characters, and the story are what compelled you to watch Madoka Magica, I highly recommend you stick to the series, as you will be disappointed with this movie.

cut short
15 January 2015
I really enjoyed this anime. It was action packed, interesting, and had a lot of engaging scenes.

The downfall... They cut the show short. I realize they never promised a second season, but I honestly believe if they answered the 100 questions they left to interpretation, they would have really created a fantastic show.

In terms of entertainment this show succeeds. the fight scenes are fun, and the powers brought from blood is a cool concept. Shiro is a fun and bubbly character and adds a bit of pizazz to the series.

Worth the few hours, but the ending may leave you feeling a bit underwhelmed and empty. Watch at your own delight, I give it a 7 out of 10, which would likely improve to a 9 or so if they produced a second season

Words Do no Justice

I decided to set 5 hours out of my day to watch this show, and I was not disappointed. Rarely do I ever give a 10, but this movie brought happiness, action... It brought tears.

The plot line was great, and each character had their own back story. If you want to feel involved, and be touched by a show, I recommend this one. Best Anime I've seen to date.

Each episode brings a new bit of useful information, a new connection, or an interesting and wild fight scene. With 4 prominent characters 13 episodes and OVA you will not be let down!

What are you waiting for, go watch this show as soon as you get your hands on it

common plots, built into a wonderful movie
6 January 2015
As someone who watches many movies, this movie had it's archetypes that are often used. The kid who becomes a man, saving the world, the popular girl and the less than outstanding guy.

With all this in mind, I was pleasantly surprised by the this movie. The characters weren't exceptionally over built, nor artificial, the family dynamic was fun to watch, and the series of twists and turns that occurred as the movie progressed really were inspiring.

This movie may have used common plots, but it did in a way that was both inviting, intriguing, and most of all enjoyable. If you have 100 minutes to sit down, and watch a movie of laughs, loss, and self growth, definitely give it a try

Surprisingly Enjoyable
3 January 2015
This show is full of fan service, gore, and drama. conflicts between characters arise, as well as many interesting fight scenes.

At the beginning I honestly didn't find any of this show appealing but what is developed in 12 short episodes may not have been great, but it was enjoyable. The show had its problems, from to many out of place sexual moments to a lack of depth, but if you intend to enjoy yourself for a few hours It's worth the watch.

This Zombie/infection Anime was more than capable of keeping me interested and left me asking... why was there only 12 episodes? Definitely give it a shot, its worth the 4-6 hours of your time

Torn

I herd of this online and decided at 4 episodes it would be a nice quick watch. At the beginning, I really disliked the show. It had scenes of fan service, incredibly gruesome and violent images, and a few unanswered questions.

Although I disliked the beginning, the show did build interesting characters and draw me in more and more each episode. If I had watched episode 1- 2 alone I likely would have given this a 5-6, but by the end I felt it was a good watch (assuming you don't have a weak stomach).

The resolve of this show, how it wrapped up, was really what sold me on whether I liked or disliked this show. Overall I give it 7 because all though I wasn't fond of a few scenes, I felt the characters, twists and turns, and ending made it worth the watch.
