Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: S.O.S. Part 2 (2015)
Totally claimed season 3 with the finale
Wow, what an episode!! After setting up avengers and then following it up, this episode has done the job of claiming its rights to season 3 and maybe beyond.
Inhumans are people with gifts and at times ridiculous powers, but this show has set them up so nicely that it is hard to believe that this is all fantasy. Everything is just so grounded. With Gonzales having lost his life to the mist, a war was on cards and it did what war does: change people. Some change in the middle of it and some after it. In the end, everyone in it pays a price and everyone does.
Jiaying, literally Cal's creation, started the war and led everyone into it. This was Inhumans vs SHIELD and Jiaying vs Coulson. Coulson is the director we want, he is the manager that we lost souls at work wants.
This was closure of all the stuff that season 2 presented to us and worked at its best for Coulson, Skye, Fitz, Jemma, Ward, Agent 33, Jiaying, Cal and everyone else.
It will be nice to see where this series goes into Season 3.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Scars (2015)
Humans and Inhumans
This was a great episode to build for the season finale(s). Coulson and Gonzales appeared to have made good with each other in the last episode, and the camaraderie continues. Both team up against Hydra at first to set up Avengers and later team up to track Inhumans.
THe episode took an interesting turns for the characters Jiaying, Cal, Coulson, May and Skye. Skye has seen good on both sides and her dialogues completely show that she deeply cares about both factions. Both Coulson and May continue their transformation and share their secrets. A very interesting turn is done by Cal in this episode which is clearly going to shape his behaviour and development into a formidable character in AoS universe.
However, the most interesting turn of events is seen for Jiaying. She has been a soft, motherly character who guides various inhumans into being something more but this episode makes her more colorful character.
Awesome episode, 9/10 (marks cut for moving far too many things in 40 mins)

Rise of the Machines
Finally the payoff of this season. The disappeared god, the new ruthless god, the crime bosses and the action; everything was just plain awesome.
Finally the machines collide, finally the fight is all naked and the dread of previous episode reaches a fever that is simply impossible to take off.
The last 10 mins sums up everything season 4 wanted to tell. People lost their ways, machines lost their ways and did mundane things all over season but this one was a home run.
Last season finale, the machine was defeated and Elias had no place to perform in season 4. But this season has balanced all expectations.
This was marvelous, story telling at best and the AI mythology getting deeper. More confrontations, dangerous consequences and the fight of team machine and team samaritan will continue
The series will forever excite me and fans alike. Waiting for season 5 now

For the love of God: Awesome
Finally after a dour episode with Carter's hallucinations, everyone has turned into the bad***AI fighters they are supposed to be. This is the explosion people have been waiting for since Elias took off, since end of Season 3. The ultimate scene of faceoff between the mortal crime lords and the immortal machine and Samaritan.
This episode delivers every amount of fun that this series has ever promised. It has set the stakes really high for the last episode and things will change in the name of God: YHWH
The characters have gotten deeper as well. Fusco is no longer a comic element but a true ally of Team machine who can take anything on his chin with his humor still intact. Reese super calm in storm as usual. Finch is ever more skeptical of either machine but eventually takes a leap of faith and joins the naked battle of AI. The relationship between machine, root and Finch has been explored and Finch gets his questions answered from machine on its trustworthiness.
Excellent episode, I wanna bunk all office and all work to catch the finale next week :)
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Dirty Half Dozen (2015)
The Broken Family Reunion
Allies are formed in tough times and more often than not, they are uncomfortable ones. Such is the tune of almost every TV show or a movie. For the betterment of SHIELD it was important that people can reconcile with Ward, Gonzales with Coulson and they fight back Hydra. But apart from the action we learn quite a lot about the characters themselves.
If you thought Simmons was on a dark path, you just have to wait for this episode to re-estimate her darkness. If Fitz was okay with Ward on board, again watch this. Ward has changed, perhaps is finally willing to look past his horrors of past and reinvent himself before someone else can wipe him up and fill his mind again. Couslon has his humor, May has her demeanor but both have grown past the previous episode for the good of the world and the original team of 6 embarks on a dangerous mission of personal differences to Hydra elimination.
For those who haven't seen the Avengers, this one will set it up for you and I am sure you will be drooling from scene one.
This was an excellent "ad" for Avengers and this has delivered to the hilt.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Afterlife (2015)
Bravo Team Coulson!
After an onslaught from Robert Gonzales and his desire to make SHIELD bureaucratic, team Coulson is back to giving us viewers the thrill. With awesome tricks to great backup, Coulson has mastered theatrics that would impress Ra'as Al Ghul. Equally interesting is to see Skye learning to embrace her powers in the new world she is living in. However, she needs to know that internet isn't her life anymore and shaking the ground is. Skye's father is ever the lunatic who is obsessed with seeing his daughter smile. His character has given no hint so far of what will he do for Skye after introducing her to transformation.
In the Coulson's HQ, there is another tussle which continues from previous episode: trust the earnest requests of Gonzales to set up a better SHIELD or to trust a man back from the dead.
So the story which was focused on Hydra and the alien city at one time has added another dimension with Gonzales and his cohorts. Hydra may still be out there, transformed people are surely going to dominate the landscape and SHIELD will have another battle for its ideals, vision and future.

Welcome back "Bad" Samaritan!!
Finally after weeks of run of the mill POI, the chief focus of this season is back. Samaritan has become more ruthless than ever and our team machine is still fighting an enormous fire. Underhanded, understaffed but undeterred is what Team machine has become. The acting, the screen writing, the humor, this episode has it all and this hour leaves a sweet taste of entertainment.
This episode furthers the arc of Root as a ruthless woman who is out to avenge from Shaw to the machine. At the same time, it develops the character of Samaritan who has been hell bent to find the machine. Every act of Samaritan is drenched in malice and it has become ever more aware of its power and its ruthless objective to hunt down the machine. The odds are bad for our team machine and with four episodes left, this is about to become a fast ride to finish. This episode has set the ball rolling for the eventual fight between the AI as well as their corresponding minions. Thus, all viewers, fasten your seat belts for the final stretch!

A Beautiful Mess.. this is...
Well, IMHO, POI has lost its focus a bit. No Elias, no brotherhood, Samaritan and Machine both doing mundane things and I had really hoped that this episode will some of the zing of season 4 back.
It tries, and then tosses everything in the air. Reese continued his work to save someone rather unimportant while Finch tried to save someone important. In the end, the writers have given both stories a touch of Samaritan angle to supposedly keep the viewers on their edge.
The only saving grace in this episode is Root and her trauma/ fear of having lost Sameen and Amy has acted that part brilliantly. POI season 4 is supposed to tackle very different topics than saving random people and adding a tinge of Samaritan. Samaritan isn't rosemerry that one adds for aroma/ flavor during cooking, it is the oil of this season.
Anyways, it is not so gloomy either. The episode has continued to make the prospects look even more bleak for team Machine and only a Nolan-esque writing can bring things back to the level we are used to.
All the best :)
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Who You Really Are (2015)
So much for keeping secrets!
Well, the promos said it. Skye won't be able to hold the secret for long and it is out. Such a news is always a lot to take in and different people just react in different ways to the news. So, the shield house is divided over how to handle the Skye situation but my bet would be that she comes out on top of her powers by the end of season.
This episode is more of a story that sets in motion what is going to happen in the rest of the series and from it includes every concept that we have seen till the previous episode.
AoS will get bumpier, but exciting.

Standard POI
This episode is different from what we have been expecting in this season of person of interest. However, I am sure that Jonah will have a method to reconnect it with the mainstream later.
I say that because, the evolution of POI has been in flashbacks which deepen every character's character and gives an estimate of what the person is capable of doing. Seeing Finch struggle to handle Nathan's loss reminded of the heart breaking story at the end of season 2 but it also showed how Finch could regain trust in the Machine.
This episode is about the Finch as a person whose life has been reflected upon the case at hand. The story was OK OK and the acting is great as usual.

And Jonah has recreated The Prestige here
Every magic has three parts and this one was the Prestige. The POI team was defeated badly in the last two episodes and with the departure of a lead character for the foreseeable future, the episode had to conjure some magic back to bring where we were at the beginning of the season: HOPE. And that's The Prestige part.
The episode has done a marvelous job in restoring the hope for team machine, to tackle their mean and ruthless adversaries. The writers deserve credit for keeping the audience guessing about future of team machine. The people which constitute the team may get lost as we have seen repeatedly, and new characters can join the gang with ease because of the lucid way the writers have knit the story lines. Hell, the day isn't far when Casey, Greenfield return as well.
I am eagerly waiting for the next episode on Feb 3, 2015. And it is gonna be a long long wait.
