Spaceman (2024)
It's not a bad movie...it's just not a good movie.
After 25 minutes into the film I understood what tone and feel they were trying to achieve with this movie and like other viewers has mentioned this is not a mainstream Adam S film but that doesn't mean it's indi and cool or A24. The film was in pre production for 3 years due to early viewer issues so that kind of says a lot about the pace and feel of the movie. I personally didn't find it captivating or interesting and I never found myself wanted to answer questions I might of had about the plot. One thing that doesn't help is the very cheap CGI throughout. Some nice cinematography here and there with some very random low lit out of focus scenes too which was strange. All in all not for me.
La sociedad de la nieve (2023)
A soft version of the original.
A more softer version of the original perfect for people who get easily upset. Nothing really new here just updated camera quality. Actors are ok but have no chemistry with each other. Lots and lots of staring at nothing throughout the movie. Absolutely not oscar nominated worthy. There's just no spark and feeling of survival in this version compared to the original. It's also strange and rare to remake true disaster movies. Cashing in on tragedy's is nothing new for humans but whoever thought this needed making again is monotonous. I watched the dubbed English version and the script and delivery was awful.
The Flash (2023)
Ps5 movie for the simple fanboy nerd.
You have already seen this film without seeing it. Yes it's that kind of a terrible movie. Another film for people who miss there mouths when they eat popcorn but if you are around 205 pounds then you will love it.
Miller is just a toxic repulsive person on screen and off screen. I don't know how he keeps getting work. No blue hair in this movie which is a good sign but still plenty of other Hollywood nonsense in it for all the simple minds.
It feels like the people who made it know that it's terrible but if they put as a many cgi famous peoples faces on bodies they might get away with it and they will for the majority because of how simple DC and Marvel fans are.
There's no stopping the lame gravy train of DC films that will continue to come out but I'd give this a miss if you have half a brain cell.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Not a movie just nonsense.
Probably one of the worst films I have ever seen.
It's literally cowboys and Indians for the early days but with ps5 graphics.
Cameron is stuck 30-40 years in the past with these basic silly plots.
Wouldn't recommend anyone to watch it. It's on par with a Serbian film in terms of stay away from the movie.
Totally get it if your a simple minded uneducated person who misses there mouth when they eat popcorn. You will like it and I think it's for those types of people.
Apparently they are making 2-3 more of these things but personally I would prefer 2-3 more wars in the world than these stinkers.
Dreamland (2023)
Just bad and over privileged
Just a bad unfunny show. Lots of badly written characters and the privileged Lilly Alan shows up which is disastrous for any tv show.
Once again British tv takes a low hit with another badly made tv show made for the masses.
The writers and cast should be happy with a 6.1 for now as this will end up in the mid 5s no doubt and that's high I would say for such a poor show.
Hopefully British tv takes a different direction going forward with these types of shows. No one seems to be learning from these badly made and reviewed shows that they just don't work. Take Lilly Alan out of if it and it would be bearable....maybe but probably not.
The Watcher (2022)
OMG this show is so bad!
Definitely not based on a true story and really badly executed. Awful writing especially the letters. Yes you can Google the story but it's very obvious if you have even half a brain cell that it's made up bulls**t. Not only does this program show how irritatingly stupid Americans are it's also relying on the viewer being gullible and stupid. This show would do so much better described as fiction as that is what it is. Even thinking about how the letters are worded makes me laugh out loud. Netflix continue to scrape the bottom of the barrel to come up with a show to put on the top 10 this week section.
The Village (2004)
Good the first time you watch it.
The village is very good the first time you see it but it has no repeat watch after that. It has a great cast and the script is very good. I also like the colour choices throughout the film.
The Void (2016)
Good visuals and special effects but lacks story
I enjoyed the visual special effects of the void it reminded me of movies like The Thing and Hellraiser but it lacked story. The movie leaves you asking more questions than you had whilst watching it. Definitely worth watching if your a horror fan.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
It's alright
I'm sure it was amazing in the 70s and 80s and I remember as a kid in the 90s it was thrilling for the first time but after watching it in 2022 it's pretty stupid. Leather face will always go down as an iconic horror character but all the other characters are just annoying. The camera work is poor and script is terrible. Watching Franklin die is a joy as he's a complete b***h and the main female character is outrageously stupid and screams for 30 mins non stop. The grandpa character is cool tho I liked him. Also once you find out it's all based off of Ed Gain it's pretty lame.
