Watched the Richard Jewell movie first so maybe changed my experience watching this. Definitely some big differences from the movie. The movie goes into more detail about Jewell life of course. Both actors played Richard Jewell great but still prefer the movie version. The movie also had much better acting from the supporting characters I thought. The Manhunt version mom and lawyer were hard to watch after seeing the movie. Night and day difference. John Hamm (Main FBI detective) and the movie reporter are made to look more like bad guys but I realize Hamm plays a different person than the FBI detective in Manhunt. However they basically had the same lines when it came to Richard Jewell.
What I really liked about Manhunt was the last 5 or 6 episodes chasing Eric Rudolph. The movie doesn't cover this part at all and it's such a crazy story that doesn't seem real. Thought the ATF agent was brilliant and Big John was a great character. Really interesting story about the manhunt that I didn't really know much about but was very familiar with the name Eric Rudolph.
