The Grey (2011)
10/10
A realistic view of sufferings in life
1 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I understand the plot is full of unrealistic things. But is that really what makes or breaks a movie? Not for me now.

What I liked about this movie was it's realistic view of suffering. Suffering comes for no reason, good people suffer, horrible people suffer and the universe has no bias towards making your life enjoyable. I currently suffer from chronic pain in my knee. I can't sit down or stand without pain and the only way I'm not is if I'm lying on my stomach or running (yes, movement is pain free). I can't go out with friends. I can't find a job that will have me. I'm on pain killers every day. I did NOTHING to cause this, I never had an accident, I was just born this way.

I hate movies where the good guy saves the day and gets the girl at the end. But what happen to me? I'm a good person, why didn't I get the girl?

I think this movie is for the people that are honest about life.
