The Undoing (2020)
Mystery? No, Drama? Yes!
When I watched (and I binged watched it) this series, I was very disappointed with the ending. After some discussions with people, I realized I had wanted to solve the crimes and tried to predict the ending a little too much. And in doing so, I had missed the bigger picture. Watch this series as you watch a great drama, not a mystery or thriller, then you'll love it for what is. The casting is on point! There's a reason Nicole Kidman has the first role in this series.
Life (2017)
A good thriller and a horrible SciFi
If you love scifi movies you probably won't like this picture. But if you love thrillers you'll definitely enjoy it. It is light on the scientific part to a measure that sometimes it does not even makes sense. Full of irrational decisions by "scientists" and a crew who would be more shining in a Saw sequel rather than in space. Acting is very good (as should be with such great cast) and the suspense will keep you glued to TV, but the story line is sketchy and not mature. I watched it after I read all the negative reviews, and still liked it. If they had managed to tell a better story and less gore, this movie would be loved by a wider range of audience.
The Invention of Lying (2009)
A great movie up to minute 70...
Great start, glues you to TV for the first 45 minutes and I think the climax comes right on 69th minute. If you have not seen this movie yet I have a recommendation for you: Watch the first 1 hour and 10 minutes of the movie and stop! I think whatever you expect of a good Comedy/Drama you'll get right up to this point. After the movie finished I actually wished I hadn't watched the rest because it just goes downhill from there. Unlike some reviews that find using random casts a waste, I found it surprising in a nice way to see those familiar faces from time to time. I gave it 8 because of the genius way of re-telling a story that has been said so many times during the life of motion picture.
The Path to 9/11 (2006)
A great Drama, Put politics away, watch it with open mind.
Well made. Not necessary faithful to the fact (as mentioned by network several times during airing of the series) but very intense and detailed. More interesting for viewers who follow the background of 9/11 attacks, attackers and the officials working on this case. While watching this series keep in mind that *Drama* is not straight fact. Sometimes is exaggerated and sometimes softened. Usually it is hard to do so, specially for people who feel closer to 9/11 incident. But if you try to watch it from not Republican nor Democrat point of view and just watch it to enjoy a good drama, you will definitely be happy. I specially like the intensity and suspense of this series. Details are well drawn and almost all the characters are very well introduced to viewers. I give it 7 out of 10.
