Oldeuboi (2003)
Overrated, definitely not worth watching
This is considered to be South Korea's greatest movies which even garnered an American remake. Is it disturbing? Yes, but there are better movies that justify that word. I won't get into spoilers but no one is gonna convince me that this is supposed to be some deep dark psychological thriller that pushes human relationships and their boundaries. The antagonist clearly was a sick guy and the protagonist just comes of as lame for what he does towards the end. This is not a good film by any standards, just pathetic and lame.
The three stars are only because the visuals look cool and have an artistic vibe. Apart from that, if you're looking for a good story...there are better movies out there. What a waste of 2 hours.
Werewolf by Night (2022)
This should be a every Halloween thing
Right of the bat, wow! Never in a million years would I've thought Werewolf or Man Thing would work in the MCU. But what a fantastic effort by Michael Giacchino to introduce this character to the wider MCU while paying homage to classic monster flicks. I guess the B/W filter was cause of all the blood and kills while keeping it family friendly but holy **** does that work. If you ever wanted horror mixed with your daily superhero dose, give this a watch. It's worth every minute.
Hope Marvel makes this a every Halloween special by introducing us to the different array of monster characters from the comics.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Should've told Negan to bash my head before watching this
I got a simple rule - If anything makes you sleepy, don't waste your precious time on it. Find something better. This boring mess did that in 10 mins.
Mediocre acting, poor dialogue, plot seems to be written taking a doody. There is a 'World Beyond' this atrocity. Explore that!
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
3 Reasons that make it the perfect Superhero Movie!!
Being an avid comic-book & movie fan I had high expectations for this movie. Having read the reviews, I was not sure if this sequel was worth watching as I had already booked my ticket a day before. The movie started and then-BOOM!! Every moment in the movie was worth the money. I don't regret a second of the movie.
Some people don't realize that you don't get the same type of theme twice. Those who gave bad reviews were obviously hoping for the same theme and scenario as The Avengers. Joss Whedon stated that this movie would be much different from the prequel. The movie just creates the atmosphere that I wish to see in a superhero movie. 1. THE HEROES KICK SOME REAL ASS
Unlike it's prequel, Age of Ultron brings action sequences that are just awesome. True to the character's power,it allows him to upgrade as per the situation demands, which was seen in case of Hawkeye. That Bot-ass kicking action bestows pleasure to the eyes while gulping soda and grinding the popcorn. The extreme raving, outrageous, epic gripping of protection confined to the cause of serving humanity leaves you spellbound.
2. THE PERFECT ANTAGONIST
Ultron makes Loki look like a bunny. Everything starting from his intelligence to his voice makes a bad ass villain. I mean come on, he gave the Avengers a pretty hard time. He served under his will, made an entire army of Ultron-bots, stayed true to his wish of destroying humanity & was nearly indestructible. What more see can you ask?
3.THE STORY-TELLING
Right from the beginning till the end, there was a charismatic flow in the story. Whedon brings his magic to the big screen again with this sequel. None of the characters were ignored & they got a perfect screen-timing. I remained glued to my seat even in the interval. The sense of the story just doesn't let you quit, just like an awesome comic book. Respect.
THE AVENGERS:AGE OF ULTRON = Totally re-watchable (Upto a Million Times) + BEST Superhero Movie till date (Yes,better than THE DARK KNIGHT).
