The Naked Mile (2006)
the most watchable of the spin-off series
sure the "presents" can't compare to the first three, but 'The Naked Mile' is probably the funniest of 4-6. it had its moments that had me on the floor laughing! yes it had its crude moments throughout the movie, but hey i think all of the American pie movies do. i loved the fact that we a refresher from another rude and cocky stifler. the movie had an excellent young cast that were watchable. OK i have to admit, the nudity did help a little bit in the movie. and of course it wouldn't of been a 'Pie' movie without Eugene Levy reprising his role as Mr. Levenstin! the movie did have a message to it also...be yourself.
a solid 7/10
Superbad (2007)
truly a great movie
I saw the movie opening night, and I must say, it met every one of my expectations. It truly was an amazing movie. The movie follows two high school seniors (Hill and Cera) and their nerdy, yet hilarious third wheel friend (Plasse) in their journey to get wasted at their last Senior party (kind of like a Harold & Kumar thing). Only problem is, it would be their first and only true high school party. But as I was watching the movie, that famous that's always shown in the trailer...of course it's..."You know when you hear girls say 'Ah man, I was so sh!t-faced last night, I shouldn't of fu@ked that guy!' WE COULD BE THAT MISTAKE!!!" That sort of got me thinking. There were a lot of opportunities that could of been taken by me back in high school, but never went through with it. Like dating that hot girl in the front row in English class.
So after all the laughs I endured in this movie, I came up with my own moral of the story.
-Don't let opportunities slip out from under you.-
A perfect 10/10
TMNT (2007)
Brought me back to the good ol' days.
At first I was little skeptical to see this movie. The only reason why is because it was going to be animated and not live action. But I finally got over it, and watched from the first minute to the last. I couldn't help but laugh at all the great jokes that were said. Michelangelo is still as funny as I remember. The turtles made it worth my while to get up early on Saturday morning when I was younger.
But there were a select things that bothered me little bit.
Don't get me wrong, I love the guys, but I thought that Leo and Raph got too much screen time. As well as April and Casey.
Speaking of Casey, what was up with him. I remember him being a hardcore son-of-gun. Now he is a whipped boyfriend.
Now with those flaws aside, I thought that this was good family-fun!
