Puncch Beat (2018)
Beyond expectations superb work!
This show has netflix original vibes all over it, with that said, this showcases AltBalaji has grown tremendously and how.
The plot is good, And gets better with each episode.
Samir and Niki have done a marvellous job like beyond extraordinary.
The young cast has performed outstandingly with a notable mention of Priyank (Rahat) the expressions, did not imagine Priyank could act so strongly with expressions portraying feelings. Others have done equally well and it was collectively superb performances which shows the talent is immense. Vikas and Ekta this is a jewel you have created, keep up the amazing work..this deserves all the attention and praise its getting.
Quality stuff truly.
Tigers (2014)
Corporate greed trumps humanity
This movie has excellent performances, and an amazing true story to back it up.
Strong message about an eye opening issue which has plagued us ever since dawn of the corporate world, where profits mean more than anything else, specially when it is set in a third world country which is already struggling against socio-political issues relating to poverty, illiteracy and corruption.
The movie leaves me thinking how trapped humanity has been in the clutches of corporate greed since the last century, where multinationals have exploited third world nations time and again, exploited people who don't have a voice due to lack of education and lack of basic necessities such as clean water.
It is ironic that this film was released in 2014, but only now has it gotten a mainstream internet release as it truly deserves an audience which is interested in knowing how a multinational can get away with literally anything due to corrupt systems. Atleast in first world countries we have been witnessing class action suits against corporations, however, this film is a prime example of how easily they can manipulate the system and walk away without any consequences.
Further food for thought, in today's world whats more tragic is that these corporations have the audacity to talk about social, corporate and environmental responsibilities flashing their agendas and manifestos, whereas in reality its all a giant facade.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)
10/10 One of the best movies of Bollywood to date
There might not be enough words to describe the emotions this movie carries, and I had not anticipated this before entering the theater.
It is unique in nature from other Salman Khan Eid releases and is much more special in terms of storytelling and performances. Charisma is always there in Salman films due to his persona, however, this movie brings a lot more to the table, most notably the little girl Harshali, who has done a great job without uttering a single word. Barfi? Black? I have forgotten those with the performance this 6 year old has given, and I know she deserves a Best Actor award for this movie Filmfare/Oscar just name the award, she is worthy of it and so is the beautiful movie. Salman, Kareena, Nawazuddin, and all other supporting actors done a good job. Kabir Khan has done a marvelous job doing justice to the movie.
Harshali is the star of the movie and that is not an easy thing to do when one shares screen space with someone of Salman Khan's stature.
Watch it alone, or with your friends and family, you won't be disappointed.
