The Ice Road (2021)
7/10
Breaker 1-9

Not bad. A good movie just to chill and watch on a lazy Saturday night. I have to admit, I only watched it to see how Amber Midthunder has been doing since her appearance on Prey. Needs more experience acting but she's tough and she's cute. Still, this movie isn't good without Fishburn and Liam. I enjoyed it. That being said, that Varnay guy just kept getting on my nerve. The whole mining thing money payoff was confusing. I couldn't imagine being an ice road trucker. I'm sure many have paid the ultimate price.

In all, the movie had me on the edge of my seat. Yeah, cheese at times as well as emotional but I liked it.

Made me want to see more of these type of movies

Fantastic movie! I loved Cop Land with Stallone and other greats. This movie made me feel the same. What a thriller. My wife is so into these movies and she had it figured out. I, on the other hand, am slow but the movie kept my attention and I loved it.

Yeah, many other movies like it, but it's never bad to see a good cop work for justice.

Fun to watch with my wife and now older children
5 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy watching this show with my wife and daughter, 24 and son, 18. I don't think it's appropriate for younger kids. My children are now old enough for us to share in the topics they discuss like, marijuana and sex.

Interesting how they pull off the lesbian relationship with Elena and her girlfriend. Cudos to the producers for not being afraid to bring about these sort of topics.

Rita Moreno is a great addition. She's still performing at a fantastic level.

I think Netflix is a great place for this show to thrive. Don't think the Networks would pick it up.

Costner is a seasoned Cowboy
21 June 2018
I thoroughly enjoyed this premier. Mr. Costner is Lt. Dunbar, Wyatt Earp and Charley Waite all in one. I like his character and I enjoy watching his cowboy experience play this role.

I totally appreciate the story line, ruthless at times but I can see John Dutton fiercely protect what he has and wants. The Dutton Family is strong and you can tell they share dad's passion, even in the youngest son.

Yes, it reminded me of Longmire in many ways. I just hope the series is just as good as the premier and that it doesn't drag out and get ruined. I enjoyed Longmire, but the ending left something to be desired for me. Hope the end results are better in this new-era Cowboy show.

Worth a look

I don't get a chance to watch a lot of TV let alone a series, but this docuseries really had my attention. I'm sure it's not as accurate like others have mentioned, but for 8 weeks I enjoyed it and was entertained.

Ray Leota's narration and voice was great. It really helped to add to the drama.

I got a huge kick out of all the smoking the characters did. I mean almost every seen someone has a cigarette in hand. My favorite characters were Lucky and Mere Lansky.

It's not straight out of the history books like I mention, but I enjoyed the wardrobe, automobiles, fancy hotels and tommy guns.

Thanks AMC for putting this on!
