This is the first time a show has made write a review on here but here we go...
I have been interested in Anime since 1996ish and my first film I watched was Akira, anyway - I expected this to deep dive into shows such as Ghost In The Shell, Akira, Perfect Blue etc but it didn't.
What we got was a narrarater that admitted she knew nothing about the medium and I think just used this Doc to get a trip to Japan. Towards the end she seemed on the verge of giving up.
The interviews with a few animators and writers etc were ok but gave us nothing new.
Overall this Doc is ok to kill an hour but don't go in expecting brilliance because in reality it's just a big Netflix advert for their anime shows.
