Prison Break (2005)
Just a good show
Although i enjoyed the later seasons a little less because the story was getting a bit weird.
Especially when i got tears in my eyes watching Brad give his life, while i hated him from the bottom of my soul in the first 2 seasons.
Season 1 & 2 were the best imo.
Fringe (2008)
Watching this show almost made me want Fringe science was a thing
So, i have seen this show when i was a teen. Waiting every week for a new episode and found it again years later and i still love it.
The way the story is told, over 5 seasons, to have it come back in a full circle, is brilliant.
Anna Torv was amazing, both as Olivia and Fauxlivia. I loved the Bishops, especially Walter. And every character got enough character building to fully understand what their thing was. The observer story made it all so much more interesting.
I wouldnt have mind another 5 seasons of this, but they closed it off in a nice way, with some sadness for Walter. Hard to pick a favorite character when all of them were equally important and brilliant.
So, if you havent watched it, please do.
You wont regret it.
Roswell (1999)
My teenhood favorite
O what i wouldnt give for a chance to be Liz in this situation? I envied her because of Max. I was 16 when i saw the show for the first time and i still watch it now and again for nostalgia.
It wasnt quite the same as the books, but i enjoyed every episode of it nonetheless.
To me it was the ultimate teen show, with just enough teen drama, mixed in with tragedy and conflict and, even though i adore Emilie De Ravin as an actress, i hated Tess with all my heart.
If anyone would ever look at me like Max did at Liz, i would marry that man within the same day:)
Just kidding, but Jason Behr was amazing as Max.
The new resurge of the story, true to the books, i might have liked, but i am so stuck on the original i couldnt watch it more then a couple of episodes.
Designated Survivor (2016)
Up untill season 3 it was a good show
Coming here, reading the reviews of others, it finally made sense why the show made such a drastic change in the way the dialogue was built, the show was put together. And i wasnt pleased with it at all.
Maggie Q deserved way more then she did. There were plotholes and it kinda made it seem like season 3 was somewhat of a gimmick. That a true independent, cant stay that way.
Didnt like Lorraine(the character that is, the actress is awesome) but she could have gotten a deeper character building than she got and it left her as the villain of the story. Emily also got the same treatment as Kirkman did, politics changes you.
My advice is, watch season 1 & 2 in succession and try season 3 later on.
Even the change in the intro music was a let down.
Although i have to say, untill the last minute, i was wondering if Kirkman was going to be assissinated. Didnt hope for it, but it seemed to me like it was building up to it instead of an unwanted pregnancy, an arrest and a runaway.
Also, where was Mike, Chuck, Lyor, Kendra?
Lyor would have been the best counterpart for Loraine imo.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Please tell me they are leading us on
I just hope that they announce that they were pulling our leg and have a couple more episodes ready for closure.
I am not done with this story and after rooting for someone for 7 seasons, to have her go mad and be killed in such an unsatisfying way, is just unbelievable.
Why did so many prophecies get airtime to be squashed in 6 episodes? Why bring back Jon, just to have him kill Dany and go back to the place where HE was murdered? Did the writers forget he was the king in the north? Why has Sansa become so powerhungry? Why can she declare the north independent? Why is Bran the king of the six kingdoms? What did the NK want with him? Why have Arya evolve from a tomboy to a stonecold badass, just to have her sail off to nowhere. So many questions. And so unsatisfying to have it end here.
D&D have honestly just butchered so many great characters just so they can move on to their next project. I am not even looking forward to reading the next books(if they ever get released) since i feel so conflicted about my favorite characters.
Season 1-6 were brilliant.
Season 7 was just a filler for the R+L=J
And 8 is just terrible..
They should have gone with another writer, one who has passion for the whole of Westeros and its inhabitants.
Valar morghulis(just D&D imo, they killed an amazing fantasy world)
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Why is everyone so vexed?
Okay,
Let me get this straight: in the whole of it all, the storyline and arc and whatnot, this episode raised more questions then it providing answers.
But, i personally liked the suspens of the way it was projected. Sure, some characters couldnt have survived some wights, but they did and we got some other awesome endings in return(little bear anyone? I would bow down to a kid like that)
I think, and its not based on anything, other than my own thoughts, that the GOT prequel will give more information about the NK and his motivations or origin. We saw a bit of his origin, but not why and how he was the unlucky fool to be chosen by the children of the forest.
Bran did nothing in this episode, but, Bran is still Bran, the boy who can warg and who probably is the three eyed raven and maybe more?
Maybe this isnt the end of the long night? They could still throw a curveball there.
But i am also curious what Cersei is going to do, because she seem to be a fly in comparison to the mammoth af an enemy that is the NK, but we know that Cersei is a true relentless and truly evil b*tch(Lena Headey is brilliant, portraying her)
And then all the prophecies: why cant it not be Arya who is Azor Ahai?
Maybe she is also the Valonqar? Lots of theories about that float around.
Martin is known to demand balance in his storylines, so maybe the white walkers are not truly gone, maybe they NEED a king(or a queen) to balance the land of ice and fire?
I dont know for sure but i do know that there are still 3 episodes left to this season, with lots of unanswered questions.
I think this has been a good episode, mostly hyped up because of the NK but we dont know what will happen after.
One episode will not steer me clear of this show.
