Beginning was amazing, raunchy jokes, interesting idea

but it all falls down quickly when main hero starts do 'moral' things; jokes quickly ends;

and then plot deteriorates rapidly, everything that screenwriters didn't thought thru, every illogical thing starting hurting me;

hero becomes messiah; script goes to hell; everything becomes plain stupid, no jokes just "i wanna marry a girl and get dying mother happy"...

You have 2 sit down and think whole screenplay from perspective that humans can't lie

& that is a life-changing thing. Life as you know is gone - you have 2 sit down & think everything through 2 make it real, logical, believable, firm, make exciting story (& don't forget about funny jokes throughout whole movie not just appetizer-beginning).

They didn't do that

So idea is cool but realization is meh. It will be good for a short stand-up comedy, but jokes alone not enough

4 flick screenplay, as i said, you have 2 sit down and think EVERYTHIN' through. No compromises

That wasn't bad - i expected far more less

So i sit thru i thought - that wasn't bad at all, characters had a mortful sin - they so goddamn boring, but i sat through

't was okay, it was ok.

Good story, lil' under mediocre x-cution

(It also waaaay 2 american then it should be, especially Ukrainian reporter who got what he wanted 2 b, it's also '89 - this should be more raw then it is but whatever, i'm already surprised that some censorship was given some slack)

Movie clearly made by woman 4 women w children, like u can smell it

8-12yo (who doesn't know any better) & these kind of women will dig it, others - avoid

It has upliftin' moment when ~50yo dude 'wakes' up but other than that - it's sooo far from reality - it hard 2 insulate from it

'cuz it's typical 90s, lots of BS, here it was hurting screenplay; another disgusting scamoment when it pretends 2 b 'based on true story' & goes in genre Biography (yeah, Tolkien's Lord of the ring was based on true WW1 story too, yet it has elfs and dragons)

Made by 'what if we take this and make a happy drama out of it, reality - who needs it? As long as we feed you happy moment;

we blow everything out of proportion & stretch out fleeting happiness real moment str8 to the limits of impossible'

starts w indoctrination doe, & doesn't x-plain Blood gang's development (i tot when chars get back from Nam - they only way 2 live in a hood was to crime)

some glaring plot holes & unreals

i loved some moments, but none of what i described above matters - 'cuz i had a bad day, simply wasn't feeling it

this flick wasn't 4 me at this day; hence the rating

Got those vibes; (also M&M, Snickers & GraB Lay's of the 90s)

Buckets o' fun; reluctant Bill Murray gets into unwanted adventure, reluctantly; lesser censorship (typical 92-96)

Reviewing dis show as a whole

Dudes have fun that i had when i was 6-7yo

So at that time those arrows & coins & fishes & other action and mind tricks would interest 4 me & get x-cited, but if i watched the show back then - it would be bored, i woulda watch cartoons or play lego back then - way more fun 4 a child. (Or Made-ur-own-adventure-horror-fantasy fun, get dirty, get risky; or guns; or ball; or read a funky book, preferably w pictures; or manage tamagotchi; or play NES; literally hunt down children girls; list continues on & on...)

It made 4 old humans, unfortunately

I understand these characters deeply, can't relate doe; also 2 much BS in the series - not gonna elaborate on it in this review

Show desperately needs the 'whole family pleasure'

In my taste, this flick is a borin'-nonsense; good thing this franchise has ended

Completely unrealistic

Bad character design, bad screenplay

2 much typical nonsense

Shaky camera, bad practical effects

The "action" starts only in the middle of the movie

Background music, in my taste, is preposterous, serves the purpose of bringing tension but 4 me it was laughable, these moments get more and more ridiculous; it also covers voice 2 much

And so on, so 4th

If u like me - this movie will feel actually great, it lacks realism, but that is typical 4 the vast majority of movies, especially Hollywood's

So if u r me - ignore comments & critics

I felt like it has excellent acting (ignore the nonsense coming for John T), bright screenplay, top-quality cinematographer's work

It started grew up on me slowly towards the middle of the movie; i wasn't expecting anything good from IMDb score that low, but the movie surprised me

It felt good, felt real - in sight that it makes sense, it feels real

Really believable FANatic character & u can study him a lot - because he got the biggest scenetime

I got a kick from music (especially Lebanon Hanover - Gallowdance & a little nod from Limp Bizkit partner label Geffen Records), interesting cutscene choices (speed drawings)

I wasn't expecting that particular ending (because i was expected disappointing main character knife-killer-revenge routine)

It's a solid 6/10 but i gave 7/10

Good surprise, the movie made my yesterday morning

That's a minimum standard on how you shoot "go chase them conniving thirty years old highschool kids"

This flick lacks naturalism/realism, but everything else on top

That era of movies circles back when 'soon' realism will be abundant -

next era, after 10-15 years, will be again monster chasing dudes, because...

You know...

We've done with human chaser - it seems too week & we all tough internet warriors who can CLEARLY defeat human chaser - give us impossible task...

Hey kids! Don't kill anybody - you will see their rotten bodies after murder and they will give you jumpscares then grief, misery and wasted years in selfloathing or something like that

Cuz it's 2010> movie there won't be true realism and 1920's special things of course,

but

if you like to see Thomas Jane's redneck voice acting and how 1922 farms, clothes and cars looks like and some other stuff then watch it

it could be easily 7-8/10 for you
