Bad Trip (2021)

Amazing trip from start to finish

I haven't seen anything done this well before in this genre. I enjoyed this a lot and the movie never lets up. Loved the way the story progresses while pranking innocent bystanders throughout. Similar to Borat in style but much bigger pranks in my view.

We need more of this!

The Lighthouse (I) (2019)

Extremely boring well acted

I couldn't care about either of the two main characters even though the acting was good. The script is just awful. There's zero intrigue and no point. Complete waste of time.

A little too over the top

Should have been a little more realistic. Let's say cut the violence in half. Aside from the story being far fetched I enjoyed the pacing and acting

It's a good action paced movie which was well acted. Just a solid watchable movie. Kept me engaged and interested in the characters which is all you can ask for.

Fight Club (1999)

Slow and dull. Not sure why it gets high praise

This movie is all over the place. I like the concept and have no issues with the subject matter. I just feel like the characters didn't pull me in. I didn't care to really know what was going to happen. I had to power myself through to finish it as I kept hoping it would get better but sadly it did not. Way too many illogical scenarios and plot holes. Example: how is it possible for one person who has no control over himself able to fly all around the world and setup new organizations all the while in the entire movie being confined to one place. It's just dumb

Mirzapur (2018– )

Best Indian series ever! Very dark and entertaining

I'm from Canada and don't typically watch Indian programming but something caught my eye and I'm very glad about that.

This is a dark drama with an intense story line that keeps you engaged from beginning to end. I just finished watching season 2 and although I enjoyed the 1st season a bit more they both are excellent.

Give this a shot if you're looking for something different. It's not a typical Indian production with songs and dance!

I really hope they bring a season 3. Looks like they left some plot lines open enough to just do so.

Blade Runner (1982)

Vastly disappointed and difficult to sit through

Being a classic cult hit I thought I'd give this a try and that even if the genre wasn't my ideal that the story and pace would keep me engaged but it did not. I wanted to stop viewing after 20 minutes or so but powered through it just to see if it got better. The only positives of the movie for an early 80s film is that it is produced and shot very well. The scenery and backdrop are stunning for an older film. But I feel like you could have had the characters do anything else and it would have been better.

I guess this movie is just not for everyone.
