Andor (2022)
Magnificent!!!
Like Rogue 1 this is the best of the new Star Wars shows by far. The other shows are a bit childish and cartoony but this serious drama. STAR WARS drama at that! Incredible writing, production design, sound design. On and on. Finally a story piece that explores the "middle ranks" of the empire and how life in this crappy Empire looks in a daily grind for the regular folks trudging through life. I find this exploration of the rebellion so much more satisfying than only dealing with high level people and "chosen ones" like Luke Skywalker and the Jedi etc. Nothing wrong with them in the movies but these shows can spend more time on a more complex story.
Just Friends (2005)
One of the best!
An all time favorite Christmas movie for us. PERFECTLY cast!
Every cast member was amazing in their roles.
Especially love the brothers dynamic Chris and Ryan managed to pull off. I'd swear they were real brothers.
Love it!
Breakthrough (2019)
Couldn't even get through half of it.
Immediately felt like a bad made for TV movie. Thought I was watching "church tv". Absolute garbage.
The Outpost (2019)
This was an easy 10! Phenomenal
First of all, any rating less than 8 or 9 is just balderdash. Second of all Caleb Landry Jones deserves an Oscar nom at the very least for his work here. I think I got the shakes just from watching this. It'll affect you. It SHOULD affect you.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
Brilliant!!!
As always SBC finds a way for satire without being too heavy handed in directly insulting people. Maria is incredible in her role and can easily hold her own with Sasha which says A LOT!
For me the ending was my favorite part.
And bad boy Mr. Giuliani! 😂🤣
The Social Dilemma (2020)
Good content but lousy dramatizations
A documentary should be just that. This doc lost credit with the ridiculous acting scenes. They cheapened the message. Please take note future documentarians! No more stupid dramatizations in documentaries!
The First Purge (2018)
Brilliant story.
This movie sets the stage for the show. It speaks to so much happening today. It's the modern day 1984. Let it be a cautionary tale that is very close to becoming reality.
The Purge (2018)
Brilliant!
This show is brilliant! Takes the foundation of the movies to another level. Very timely in these days we're living. I can actually see parallels in America today. They're not that far from enacting something like this. Fantastic cautionary tale.
Downton Abbey (2019)
More! Must have more!!
Perfection. Pure joy on screen. Something we need more of these days.
End of the Road: How Money Became Worthless (2012)
Dubious, perhaps.
This is either a big sales job to get us to seek out and buy physical gold OR all the people in this movie actually really believe this conspiracy and therefore work in the Gold/silver industry. Could be a bit of both.
Love, Simon (2018)
Love, this movie.
Great direction. Great soundtrack! All around good feeling movie. Can't really speak to the LGBTQ coming out thing but it seems like a good story and they told it very well.
House of Cards (2013)
3 Stars just because first season was great.
This was the worst nosedive of a show after one or two seasons ever! After that it's just unwatchable. Horrible writing.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Phenomenal! And the Oscar goes to....
Don't know where to start. Rami Malek was incredible. I got lost in his performance and could only see Freddy Mercury. And re-creating the concert was gutsy because if the actor is simply imitating then it turns out terrible. This was NOT the case here! Absolutely incredible! Quite remarkable considering the production was so fractured. New Director deserves credit!
