Reminded me of Chemical Hearts (2020)
19 June 2022
The core premise of cha-cha reminded me of similarly aligned flick 'Chemical Hearts'. A "tangled" female lead - evolving chemistry and a bittersweet ending.

While cha-cha is more upbeat, Chemical Hearts is kinda melancholic in nature(maybe that's the reason I really liked the latter for its depressive tone)

I really feel both the movies excelled in showing why the ending had to be the way it is in a more real-lifeistic fashion and not some overboard out-of -the-box reasons.

Am I missing something here?!
10 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
OK.. coming straight to it, Bathurst the supervillain doesn't want to reincarnate because he is fed up with it or watev. I mean that's his personal choice, cool peace out.

But why in the world does he want to be Thanos (maybe worst since Thanos only wants to disintegrate half of all life but again that's across the whole universe; yeah the comparison is getting a bit convoluted. So...) and use the bomb egg to kill every living organism on the planet. Then theoretically he can't reincarnate & that's the plan. But in this lifetime he already has the technology (dethroner weapon) to extract & lock a soul inside a digital chip forever. I mean he could just ask his sidekick bond girl to shoot him in the head with the special weapon, extract his soul n' lock it and now comes the crucial part. Maybe hide it in the deep Mariana Trenches or even better float it off into outer space or some other weird idea!! Instead of making the earth a barren land or so.. And finally when he does have the egg & bomb integrated to go off, get on with it immediately man. You have been waiting to do this for quite a few lifetimes. Why load it onto a plane?! Are you looking for a destination wedding kinda thing for the bomb to explode or it's just that you have the climactic fight planned inside a blown-up plane and was like 'Oh well who cares for logic in their right mind?!'

Anyways its a decent one-time watch for a lazy evening:)

Tears Tears Tears
2 October 2020
Never ever came across a sci-fi with people shedding tears almost in every other scene. A bit over the top 'emotional weight' quotient I'd say! You'll know when you see it.

A bit interesting in parts. Visuals of apocalyptic+future earth are definitely super good. A one time watch on a lazy afternoon

Unbearable
16 December 2019
I have a thing for disaster movies or be it alien/space movies. Honestly I do not have any expectations from this one. You know something on the lines of all those Asylum movies would suffice for me. But this is just beyond worst.

I rarely ever ever give up on a movie midway no matter how crap it is but for this one at around 45min mark, I just lost my patience.

The trivia says that it took many years for the team to bring it out. While its a commendable fact that they did not give up on their dream project or whatev, am sorry to say the final output is not digestible at any level.

Its surprisingly good for a sci-fi space flick.
15 December 2018
I have a thing for space movies. The trailer seemed reasonable. So I checked out the movie & Oh boy! the VFX is awesome & top notch for such an obscure movie. Then I looked into the director filmography & this guy seems to be the VFX supervisor for many popular films. I guess that's the reason the graphics are a top notch Story wise its so-so but its definitely a popcorn free-time watch if you are into sci-fi, space action flicks.

Nonsense

Just had to watch it for Alicia Vikander. The movie is like a borefest & I think the plot is more suited for a novel & they shouldn't have adapted it.
