Systemsprenger (2019)
Astonishing and amazing even w/o having kids
This movie about a kid which does not fit into the system is amazingly made w/o being pathetic. Somehow it leaves one behind with an odd feeling. Highly recommended and apart the mainstream clichés.
The Predator (2018)
I still can't hold my tears back - rubbish in all kind of ways
Wow. I am still paralyzed when I think about the ridiculous plot of that movie.
It all began 1 or 1.5yrs ago when I heard first rumors about a Predator remake even with Arnie as main actor. I was so full of hope and couldn't wait to read any news about it.
And it all got destroyed in less than 90mins by watching that film.
The story line: come on. Any 5th grade student would be able to write a more interesting and especially more consistent story.
Alien dogs with photoshopped predator heads eating bullets? Seriously?
Genetic pumped up Super Predators which can't be even hurt by massive hail of bullets.
An autistic kid which is the "only" one being capable helping the army to open the alien spaceship door being secured by a cryptic code. The same door gets opened by his father (army sniper who's not an autist) just as a matter of course during final battle.
A female PhD who runs as fast as the Alien. A group of insane ex GIs saving the earth.
I am stilling crying inside myself.
Unfortunately just a waste of time destroying a suberb character like The Predator. Really nothing left from the original flair.
Open Season: Scared Silly! (2015)
Wow. Not worth a single minute
Wow. Not much to say. I really scary movie. The jokes don't work and the even the kids did not like it. Technically OK but content wise a disaster. So rather watch some old Disney movies instead of Open Season 4. Anyhow I am wondering how this series made it up to 4 episodes already. And also the current average rating of 5.2 does not reflect the real quality of the film also knowing that everyone's opinion is quite subjective. This was one of the films where even the kids wanted to go out the cinema earlier. And usually they rather prefer watching commercials instead of getting away from the screen. Compared to Arlo and Spot...miles behind.
