The Dirt (2019)
A great movie for a friday night
I don't even like Motley Crue but this movie got me stocked.
I love the fact they presented a well portrait of the 80s without leaving the nasty aside, doesn't try to be naive, it's genuinely pure when it comes to details about the good, the bad and the ugly of being a rock n roll star. They could have made more deep into the addiction but that's not the point in this movie.
Predictable made like any biopic but really entertaining, this isn't a movie to take serious so you can enjoy with snacks and have a good time, while enjoying the music and the nostalgia for 80s dirty rock n roll and free of culture of cancellation wild lifestyle of the time.
Tengo Miedo Torero (2020)
The book it's so much better
I want to say first the best of the movie: photography, direction of art and color, beautiful portrait of the sad poor Chile of the 80s.
The worst i would say is that they won't even try. They should have given an opportunity to trans people to act in this movie, Gnecco was more to the role of a military than a trans, horrific performance. The book it's so much more entertaining, deep and exciting, keeps you all the time at the edge but the movie becomes long and tedious. I really wish that the performance of La loca del frente would have been more realistic and more feminine.
